o well made some day 2s on wina so playing tomorrow and tuesday. kinda annoyed at many things poker lately, cant wait to go travel and clear my head. played a shtton last 5 weeks

not much to review for march, think i broke around even, won a bunch at midstakes dropped the same or more at high stakes made some rakeback etc.

also smoked way more than i feel is okay. kinda stupidly got into this habit of rolling a cig when i have a bad session/run bad/ tilt. and thats been basically every session for 3 weeks running so ya theres that. fell off the wagon wrt gym as well , wasnt my greatest showing

I recently stopped nailbiting after like 20 years, just by listening to my feelings right in the moment when I wanted to start it. Often things like making the wrong call, making bluffs that didn't work or just running bad lead me to this. I guess smoking hits exact the same spot in your brain. You feel annoyed and you want some kind of relief, whatever your brain thinks is needed for that.

have you tried vapes? I hear people get off cigs easily with em.

I quited smoking for the 3rd and final time (hope not go back in that habit again).
It gets easier after the first 2 weeks and its not bothering me at all after 3 months off.

been a quiet month online so far as i ve en travelling quite extensively since the end of the first week. went to berlin with the gf and we stayed at my grandmas and met all of my family (my little sis turned 7, perfect timing) and a bunch of my friends, was rly good time, did lots saw lots. then we flew to amsteram for 4 days by ourselves, saw a little of the city smoked a bunch of weed chilled a lot saw some sex shows in the red light district, classic tourists, was also reall nice.

after that we go on a train to paris and wanted to cap the trip with a visit of disneyland but weather was aids so we just di very little, one day was shopping in 'les halles' which i fkn hated cuz i hate shopping and it was easter monday or sth. super crowded and w/e but gf found a leather jacket she loved so all good. she flew back home for work on monday and my buddy whose gf lives in paris and i got on a plane to south france for the WSOP-c cannes. weather is amazing place is amazing food is amazing and jfc the fields are insanely soft BUT i fkn hate live poker after the first 3 unsuccessful tries to play some timbeys

1. €300 reentry cup. max late regged that one after a nice meal and not really having planned much poker that day. first hand 5 wa limp pot. nom fkn nom. but my first try of the aids that was to come camo in the form of being dealt a four as my first card for 5 hours straight. think my vpip while playing as loose as my holdings allowed me wa about 8. quite ridic. while people fold vs 3bets all day long. given i just wrote this sentence maybe it woulda just been time to 3bet J4o given everybody fols and everybody raises super wide but i kinda trie not to play like a french idiot and insta got punished. played 2 hands that went postflop one with KK one with A5 and lost both then rejammed AK into QQ rip lebalaki

2. €500 deepstck. 50k chips but turboy structure, pretty amahzing field tho so allgut. another full day of basically folding as i get no hands ensues. its actually ridic how boring live poker can get when u go card dead. think i went 2/2 for staying at or below starting stack for what one could basically call full grinding days. miss the flops that i see, lose the micro amount of hands that end up going to rivers, no good preflop starting hands etc. really fricking boring and legit no hands to report.

3. €1500 main event. amazing structure big an soft field YES i somehow manage to draw a table where i got anthony zinno on my left, a laggy french chick wh owhile really pretty o look at is friends with every french fishreg in the room, 4 nits and one fish out of 9 or ten players at the table.

i proceed to do the blakkman special of folding all hands i get dealt becuse live poker is fun but get a few interesting hands

a) chick (looking good) raises utg to some size i 3b mp A4 to 3.2x her size. call

8 5 2. ding ding she checkfolds yawn

meanwhile zinno proceeds to squeeze AKs gets into a 4way coldcall 3bpot and on A63r mnages to get a bet after his check, and a raise yet still gets it in with 90% cuz french nitfish decided its time to blst away AQhh. really annoing to see the rich guys get those spots while i just get 72o but okay

b) BARRRIIII joins my table bc theres apprently only regs alowed to take spots at my table in the softest main event in history. he proceeds to lag it up as he usually does i get again zero playable hands at a 10handed table, one time i 3b AQo he snapfolds yadayada jus boring

i bet 5300 as my thinking is utg (who has priors of checking and calling with nut flush draws) will have a ton of pair+raws, and flush dras all of whihc busted and all of whihc i unblock, sb usually has some weak range s well, i think i ll have 2 sizings here one huge with hands that have worse unblockers than my hand/ 2p+ and one as i picked with bluffs tht do a good job of allowing both to have autofolds and as weak as say QT or so. seems fine. BUT utg decides with a player to act that his 88 is a call. gg ea

given my sizing preflop and the guys tendency to 3b a ton AND m image from recent hands i expected the following:

1) he 3bets JJ+ pre
2) he back jams the JJ he didnt 3bet and TT possibly 99 possibly 88 pre
3) he 3bets or backjams AK always and AQs sometimes

that means the only hnds available for him to call then double call are the traditional 'pretty hands' such as QJs KQs JTs T9s AQ AQs AJs. as you can see apart from 4 combos that have an open ender everything from the range i thought he d show up to the flop here hits a pair. with me not having a club or a heart i thought a check with an spr of 38 into 25k that jam would be bad with this combo of suits bet small is really terrible given the likelihood of getting jammed on so i decided to check. given my probable range of AQ+ JJ+ and then some suited aces i thought i d play a mixed strategy of jam some check some and 40% the hands that are air dont need any proection like black aces. ran it given these assumptions and nailed it but super annoying to just blast thru 25% of my stack and then get a flop i cant even cbet. glad i played that spot well given assumptions. i check an he jams so results possibly backed me up a tiny bit. maybe my read on hi range was also totally off any i got rekt by some T8o who really knows.

now my thinking was that french can have complete air balls on the flop like 98 or 26 or whatever a ton of hands that play the board now and might just bleff bc why not. but he ll also have a ton of Kx lik K2-K9 or whatever that didnt raise pre that can call. here i made the biggest mistake i think of the timbey by checking. i think i really wanna bet small or big here with ym flush and my cards to a really bad job of allowing him to have the gutters that bluff. i check an he bets 70% pot and i call and get shown 84o for the classic runout river fully. dislike my river play there a lot. could also just rip the flop but thought i just get to realize my equity a lot vs his air and bluff some rivers unimprved vs those as i was a ta too deep to jam

Possibly my reaction to his sb jam was based on simply being tilted of losing vs complete idiots with idiot haircuts.

Maybe a jam is actually quite good there with big antes, limp seemed like the option with more ev I might be wrong it's just that I get jacks in vs 45 and somehow he has more equity on the flop than pre. And that turns into 100% after a 10 hour grind.

Anyway I ll play a winamax session today and tomorrow instead of the highroller and be much more chill that way. Can't get enough cash for myself and my friend anyway so no other option cuz he actually wants to play

Idk if this will help with you quitting smoking, but everytime you crave a cig, just take a big breath and hold it for as long as you can, then exhale and hold it as long as you can, then again inhale as much as you can. Repeat this big inhaling/exhaling until you feel good enough to not crave cig anymore.

another tip is also to just buy yourselve a bunch of lolipops and lick one out when you want to smoke a cig.

my thinking is smoking is like a little meditation technique with breathing + nicotine and other cancer ingridient addiction.
