personally I love the way its all real, the mental side of poker is by far the toughest, if you play long enough youll have this stretches, the difference obv is that you blog about it, while a lot dont, so I enjoy seeing the way you get up from them.... glgl

[3] play 3 sessions
[2.5] dont unreg all 2+ times (actually been a sesious issue)
[6] mark 1 hand per session to add the the yet to be reviewed hands pile
[1] do 1 hour of review 5+ times (or equivalent)

[-] if i skip a grind i set out to have it can be replaced by doing 6+ hours of intense study

[5-6] cook / eat in 6/7 days total (meaning 1 breakfast/lunch/dinner each are fine outside)
[4] on days i dont grind go to the gym, on days i grind do stretches at home (should be 7/7)
[-] make list of private goals and work through that list every day
[X] time off should be earned and not prioritized

Mostly happy with this week. It’s funny how when there are goals three sessions feels like nothing but without them a single one felt like too much. Strat I hard failed which I ll tack on to the next week bc I think it’s actually really imoortant to get ahead of again. Fitness wise I failed pretty hard and have no excuses. Did go to the gym today and enjoyed it so will try the same again

Next week goals

[ ] play 3+ sessions
[ ] dont unreg all 3+ times

Agree with few posts above that it's cool when people blog not only about huge hits and nice graphs, but about being demotivated, downswings and other "negative" stuff which is actually a big part of every poker players reality.
That's what I hate about social media and that's why I don't use FB/IG etc. You only see happy couples, holiday pics, successful crushing poker players, laughing babies etc. Because almost noone posts about losing money, being broke, dealing with family issues, not being able to sleep etc. And it creates a wrong perception of reality and makes people feel misserable.
People do not judge you for posting bad results, but it's the opposite, they respect you and relate to you.

Good luck man!

________

time to recap the week. i started out pretty strong doing 2 hours of review and playing 2 sessions by the time wednesday rolled around. and then i stumbled hard and struggled super super hard with maintaining a rythm and motivation throughout the entire week until sunday where i managed to fix my schedule (i went to bed twice at 2 am and once at 4am sicne wendesday) and got up at 7 and played probably the longest session i ve palyed since june (about 8.5 hours) ran extremely well today and won the second biggest mtt of the day:

while posting stuff like this wasnt really planned i cant help but feel super happy about getting a emaningful win under my belt again, its been so long i dotn even remember haha.

that said this week is still a pretty hard fail. during my time being a bum i didnt do any exercize at all which was a big goal of mine. and my total strategy volume landed at 4 hours which is ofc MUCh less than what i set out to do. happy i managed to play 3 sessions at least. gotta take the wins with the losses innit.

Quote:
[X] play 3+ sessions
Quote:
[2.5] dont unreg all 3+ times
my second session i got mad pretty close to the end of my regging time. late but still a fail bc i decided not to make it a proper full length session

Quote:
[ ] mark 1 hand per session
- faield and then ran into an issue where i cant seem to load my tagged hands in HM2 anymore which if it persists would be super annoying

Quote:
[ ] do 2 hour of review 5+ times (or equivalent)
- hard fail

Quote:
[ ] if i skip a grind i set out to have it can be replaced by doing 6+ hours of intense study
didnt skip any planned grinds but realized that a goal of 3+ is nonsense bc i end up settling for the minimum. gotta change this up and do proper plannning to avoid this

Quote:
[?] cook / eat in 6/7 days total (meaning 1 breakfast/lunch/dinner each are fine outside)
had numerous meals out of home but cooked tons as well and had most breakfasts and dinners at home so kinda?

Quote:
[ ] on days i dont grind go to the gym, on days i grind do stretches at home (should be 7/7)
went to gym once in 4 days off, stretched on one more day, and had one massage which i traditionally count as its very back and shoulder focussed. very disappointed here as i m over 1.5 years deep and still not even close to recovered

Quote:
[ ] time off should be earned and not prioritized
i ofc didnt do well in this department. the main reason for my struggling this week as corny and cheesy as it will sound was my gf went away for work and so i didnt have the reason i normally have to HAVE to be in bed by a certain time (she sleeps prety light so if i get to bed after midnight she tends to wake up and not sleep through) as well as no her waking up as a secondary motivator for getting up in the morning. this tends to happen relatively often when she s away for work and sth i need to tackle more aggressively next tiem (in january). so ya not too much to say, i misses a bunch of goals and could have very easily hit most of them by simply taking 30 minutes daily to stretch and doing 1.5 hours of review daily to catch up with the missed 5 hrs from the week before.

i wont roll over the deficit from this week to next as that would legit be impossible given last couple weeks so here are goals i think should be doable and would make me happy if achieved for the upcoming week

[ ] 3 sessions

[ ] 8 hours review

[ ] 5 shoulder things (physio/massage/stretch at home/gym)

[ ] cook 3+ times

[ ] sort out xmas (i m struggling with the decision of whether i should go home this year or not for christmas. my family situation is such that instead of joy i mostly get feelings of stress whenever i think of christmas. this would be the first time i dont go home for the holidays but the issue is if i stayed then my gf's family wouldnt get off my back so i d kinda have to join here so its pretty much two meh options. i know it doesnt have to be this way and i legit could pack up and fly to some beach or sth but there s a message in my doing so that would have longterm consequnces i m not sure i want to have to deal with so if i do make up my mind to fly i wanna have flights booked. otherwise i wanna make sure to let my family know i wont be going by next sunday)

long one this one. hopefully today marks the start of my recovery back to peak

thartnks for reading and peace

Might not get to 3 sessions this week bc I forgot that gf and I have a spa weekend planned. Which means I d have to play back to back sessions having just played one.
