well the goal is to have 7 figs saved up for starters. obv thats super subjective and if i was to stumble upon a milly there s no guarantee i d be set for life but certainly itd be a decent start

I found a bit of motivation by playing some midstakes online again in the last couple weeks, which i havent done at all in the last 3-4 years. The different type of challenge and the feeling of slight improvement in my game has given me a slight uplift for the moment, but not sure how long it will last.
I have realized or rather reminded myself of is that it doesnt get to me as much loosing a buy-in or two online. The stakes are obv lower then what I usually play, but it definitely feels less demoralizing when you have a fighting chance, while live you're often sitting there completely card dead for an hour your best option being folding pre over and over.

In general I have tried avoiding pushing small edges over my career in live deepstack games. Hence not taking to many marginal spots, which you are more forced to do online.
Just going with the assumption that those type of games are "bad" where u are forced out of your comfort zone is prob not gonna cut it anymore for me, cause the live scene is also consistently changing and getting tougher. I wish I had the same hunger and the drive though that I used to +5-6 years ago when I came to play in a new place and a new setting.
hey bro thnks for sharing i totally agree that switching up formats from time to time can reignite the passion for the game especially when you ve been grinding the same old thing forever. i used to switch formats all the time but in my current situation i jsut cant switch to anythign that would make me clsoe to the same hourly, so gotta just buckle down and get on that grind as much as i can within reason

yea my diet is probably not the best and i def dont get enough sun. couple that with the fact that i am half african means i natually need more vitamin D than white people and since i dont get enough sun i compensate with supplements. gotta get on that veggie and fruit grind

hola senores

got back on the grind today but was playing pretty terribly for most of the session. most of that is due to me having super serious shoulder pains again as my biceps decided its not done bieng inflamed and that its time to punish me for trying to do my exercises before it healed properly. basically cant move my arm at all without having sharp pains all the way down to my ellbow. gonna get a doc appointment tomorrow and probably get a scan and hopefully rest is all that i ll get prescrivbed. inflamed biceps cvan be a horrible pain in a$$ to deal with so hope i dont need yet another surgery on that fkn stupid arm, pretty tilting all around but not much i can do now really

all that said, i ran super good today and managed these thingies to almost erase all of this month''s downswing :














not gonna make goals as i legit have no idea whats up health wise. will try and get some volume in now that all the series are over and people are gonna grind EPTs and such nonsense

Haha would have updated if there had been anything worth updating but I haven’t been able to play since last update which obv sucks. Pretty much writing off this entire month due to either being sick or having shoulder issues. Really nothing I can do in spots like this to accelerate the process

Haven’t been updating much cuz the „can’t do fkall“ posts were really getting boring. Highlight of last week was sleeping through my first physio appointment because I didn’t hear my alarm through the ear plugs I use in order to not hear my gf’s alarm. Go fkn figure

so all around last week and all of april was very forgettable, played 3 sessions, skipped a ton of grinds and strat and overall wasted a to of time, not my best showing. sure some of it can be explaiend away bc i had arm and shoulder issues but i surely skipped at least 6 sessions when i coulda layed and my review volume was appalling which leading up to SCOOP is a pretty bad idea

that saidi m at least entering SCOOP refreshed and played well today for my first session. couldnt get anything going sadly, biggest cash was sth like 400$ which on a 7k$ buyin day was never going to be enough. we already have a nice sweat going into the back end of SCOOP as i made day 2 in the $215 Phase with a nice stack.

feeling nicely motivated going into this first week so again gonan set some goals and gonna try to stick with them this time


goals for next week

[ ] play 3+ sessions (going for tue/wed/thu/sat)
[ ] cook 2+ big dishes that last 2 days each
[ ] get back to a nice exercize routine

my shoulder is back to not being a beetch so gotta try and get it back to being able to do pushups. kinda lame, i probably lost baout 3-4 months of progrress last month in that regard so gotta get back on top of that as well

played some absolutely stellar poker today. to no avail

cashed for 1.8k in the $530 bounty builder and came 4th in the $109 megadeep to recoup some of the losses but still down 25% of the buyins i made today. good thing is that apparently i havent unlearned how to play poker. really enjoyed today's grind despite all that

if i manage to sleep fine today i ll play tomorrow, wont be starting early tho

srsly tho i ran absolutely terribly today, couldnt manage to get basically any stacks, every run fizzled out as a mincash etc. BUT i played once more absolutely well which is all that i can do realistically. had to skip last night bc i had a headache all day. gonna just hang out with friends tomorrow and liekly be back for a big saturday session and a late sudnay session i imagine

runbadwhine (sorta) worked. we did it fam. we had a winning session this SCOOP which i didnt think was possible after the last 4 sessions plus 50% of today's session. was so bad i almost unregged everything before peaktime even started. ran so bleak i started talking to myself haha. BUT recomposed mysel and registered almost everything i was gonna play in a normal mood, skipping maybe 3-5 total MTTs

managed to win one of my session starter MTTs and came 2nd in a bowl to make the smallest of winning days. but guess what: I LL FKN TAKE IT



let it be noted before tomorrow that i ran ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, dea rpoker gods.

sigh, got a couple bounties and at some point had double average with 11mil chips at bb100k. then proceeded to lose two 30/70s for bounties and went carddead / lost every pot till i had 20bbs and lost a massive flip for big bounty to bust just before a payjump to be even more annoying. happy how i played, jsut wasnt my timbey to win sadly. owell game of thrones it is i guess

prety fun day, got all the chores done i wanted to get done this week today, then watched an amazing final episode of game of thrones with the mrs, then after she went to sleep i checked the lobbies and realized some amazing timbeys were in late reg so i played a great little 6tabling sesh:
