Yeeeah, another blog to support! I´m mentally ill too (recurrent major depressive disorder), make sure, the dose of your medication (guess you are also on mood stabilizers?) is adjusted right, sports, good diet and meditation also help to keep the mood stable and never ever give up!!!!!!

Exercise! To lose weight and to get healthier in your head. Exercise is nature's medicine for mental health, especially running.

i have mental problems also. i can't play online poker, since my brain always gets me to go outside my roll. i'm decent at poker, and i win when i play within my roll, it's just getting me to do it. i have played for 10 years.. made thousands.. cashed out last probably 7 years ago. LOL. i play to gamble.. money is trivial. what do i spend it on? weed and poker. like.. get 5k.. and go and play 5/10 and play every hand at plo. i can out play lesser players.. but fail at 5/10. LOL. i just want to degen a house.

Ooh something I can relate to.

I also am very bipolar and have inconsistent moods. For 6-9 months I was losing because I would get sucked out on and wouldn't be able to control my emotions. I ended up spewing away all my money everytime.

Ever since I started taking Trileptal, my win rate has sky rocketed. My mood is stabilized and I can take beats without going on major donkey tilt.

Have you guys tried meditation besides your meds? Sounds ridiculous, but it really helps, I have a mood disorder too (MDD: only "downswings") and meditation helps me a lot!

I’m at the point where I can feel a panic attack coming on and I briefly meditate to avoid it. I haven’t actually meditated for more than a minute in years though.

Looks like your playing way out of your Bankroll, average buy in at $8-$9 is why you are taking 5k swings and eventually you will be break even or a losing player... You need to be constantly winning $1-$3 tournaments before moving up.
