Binking MTT's for spending money and finishing University Binking MTT's for spending money and finishing University

Hi All,

I am currently coming to the end of my University studies (~4 weeks remaining) and am starting this thread to give me something to take my mind off study in my down time.

In ~8 weeks I am embarking on a trip around Europe to let my hair down and see places that have been on my to-do list for a long time. I have pre-paid most of the expenses but at the moment have almost no spending money put aside. I will be playing MTT's on stars since I have performed fairly well in the past, and love the feeling of coming FIRST

I don't have a lot of money at the moment (Australia is expensive) so will be starting with a very small roll of $100. I also have a part-time job so reloading won't be an issue, although I will do my best to not reload. To start with I will limit myself to $5 MTT's (still high chance of busto I know) and work from there.

Here are my previous results across a number of sites.

Plus on stars I am ~1300 games (a lot from when I first started) and approx $250 profit

Due to Uni commitments I don't put in a heap of volume but I will keep you all updated.
So far today I am entered in the big 2.20 and 4.40 1.5k gtd.

Will post spots soon. Wish me luck!

Haha. Yeah i bought PT for PLO but still on copilot for tourneys.
I don't mind it, it runs quite smoothly and gives me all the information I need (no need for in depth stats when playing 20bb deep)

Update:

Went on a bit of a heater at the HU turbo SNG's and won 6 in a row I believe (ranging from 3$-30$) which was very nice.

Starting bankroll: 104
End: 202 + still in the $11 7.5k gtd 50/250

If you are in Uni, I highly suggest you check out cash games. When I was a Freshman I grinded SnGs for a decent profit but the hours are fixed and once I start I can't stop for 1-1.5 hours. With cash game now, I can start and stop whenever I want to, and don't have to miss out on some event just because I have a deep run in a tourney, definitely something to consider. I believe the hourly is better as well.

Only left in the 2.20 6-max
    Currently 33/49

This hand happened not long ago. Villain is 33/6/0 which scares the hell outta me on the flop but can I really find a fold. I've been playing 45/35/12 but he probably hasn't noticed.

His sizing is so big that I shipped it blah I don't know. Thoughts please?

          Thanks for the reply

Considered 3b pre but I just feel like I get in too many awkward spots OOP (stack size wise) post against fish who just don't fold. I guess that isn't a reason not to 3b pre though.

After thinking about the hand after, I think the only hand he may play this way that I beat is QJ, and I actually think he is checking that back some % of the time.

Unfortunately I cannot continue to deposit. Maybe once I begin working again in a few weeks. I am beyond tilted with this game. I am truly experiencing the brutal variance of MTT's. Not just running under EV, but AA VS AK BTN VS SB again and again.
I have always ran under EV even when winning but it really feels like it can't get any worse.

Just when you think you can't run any worse..you do.
