So many Stars regs in this thread it's not even funny ...

I didn't mean to imply that. Let's just say I haven't played significant volume for 10 years now and I do get tilted if I flop top set on a super drawy board and villain flats in position, turn card brings in the straight, river brings in the flush and it goes check-check ... Way back in the day when I actually won at PLO50, even regs would yada yada yada.

You know, I could lose $10,000 per week, but I still wouldn't have to see your face if I look into the mirror. I take solace in that. Just to reiterate, you make Paisting look like a reasonable person.

Dont cry fish - haha.
You are not losing 10000 per week because you play microstakes...

And yep - you will not see my face in the mirror, but probably you see your wet eyes crying when losing again at NL0,02.....

Keep cool and stop crying - love you and always funny to see your posts.... you make my day ><>

Paisting why not try using preflop charts, or just standard raise sizes?

Mental game is real, he's like a fomo/revenge trader. He might know the correct strategy most of the time, and even be able to execute it for a small period with charts. But a missed opportunity/bad trade/desire to hop on the train of a market that has already moved too much, then enter a spiral of random executions and depositing while losing everything mid action. If real, that is Paistings.

Maybe every time he starts his sessions he plays somewhat normal and perhaps even up to a breakeven/small winning player level, he is somewhat aware of strategy, not much, but enough to not lose massively. Then, something bad happens. He loses as a favorite, he takes offense to someone raising him often, or some other minor inconvenience. He then goes crazy. Starts playing horribly and jams everything all in as a form of revenge and believing that he truly will win, completely losing any semblance of strategy but somehow thinking its correct in his mind. This kind of play is also so horrible in fact, it will turn a massive winner into a loser.

If an absolute crusher went on Paistings level of tilt for a few minutes during a session, and ran like the sun, they would still turn into massive losers. Paistings can't comprehend that though. Someone could run the best in online poker history in terms of ev bb, and still.. they would be losing with Paistings spew periods.

But he has to adjust to all those whales out there, how is he supposed to win all their money with default charts and standard raises?

He already has a standard strategy which he learned 10 years ago. He considers himself an expert and isn't willing to learn more about cash games. His strategy is taken from old Harrington books and Blackrain's website which gives advice like "raise 4x pre" and "never bet less than half pot post-flop". He thinks this is the way poker should be played in 2020, so when he sees people doing stuff like min raising, opening very wide on the button, floating flops with backdoors he takes it as a personal insult like "WOW these guys play so badly I need to punish them". Problem is, he actually had no clue how to adjust so he just gets tilted after he loses to seemingly such bad players and starts shoving ATC pre.
