I thought I’d start a PGC thread as a way of challenging myself to put in volume. I’ve always had issues putting in the required volume to succeed in poker. Hopefully the prospect of having a PGC thread and some form of accountability to post regular updates will help this. I play poker primarily because it’s bloody fun and I’m highly competitive.
A little about me…
I’m an Australian, I’ve graduated, worked at a firm, decided wasn't enjoying it, quit went traveling, learned (attempting to) another language and pursued hobbies till I figure out what to do.
Last year I moved to France (Paris) and lived there a year and found it a huge struggle to play online poker. Needed so much paperwork just to play online on super high rake regulated sites but it was fun.
So I didn’t play a lot of online poker in France, I played reasonably regularly in a pretty crazy live 2/2 uncapped game in Paris which was incredibly fun then it was unfortunately shutdown via a government raid. The game was also rather slow since floor was called probably once an hour on busy nights since the French seem to love a good spirited debate at the table.

Pokerwise I’m back in Australia and starting to play zoom for first time this month. I do enjoy a good troll at the tables if someone is getting lippy but that's pretty much exclusively reserved for regs . I hope to be able to establish myself at 200nl by end of the year.

I mostly start tables at regular 6max and enjoy playing HUNL. Currently playing zoom for first time. I started poker from a sng background and have been attempting ever since to control my aggression at cash tables. I started at deep ante and have branched out to 100bb poker.

Goals: Put in 30k volume minimum a month
Become an established reg at 200nl by end of year.

From around 2013 onwards. My old machine died but this is what I had so missing a few hands when I started 100nl HU at end of graph before leaving for France.


Played online for a few months in PS.FR. Found the rake really difficult.


Currently since starting zoom and a little 50nl/100nl regular 6max this year. Missing 1 a nice +500 day that I played at a mates that I don't have on my hud.

Feel free to critique, post tips and thoughts. I enjoy helping others and probably wouldn't still play poker if I had not met some really cool people on the way

Month so far has been spew spew and more spew. I think biggest adjustment I've found since moving from 100nl in ps.fr to 50nlz on ps.com is how nitttttty it is. So many bad villains on #teamnobuff. I've found just ridiculous overfolding when they have 0 bluffs and over jamming when they are super capped is going well.

Ugly F month. Yeah I won so shouldn't complain about running bad, last 20k hands just nothing but cooler after cooler setups and having to fold near nuts constantly river vs nobluffregs. The EV i won back was basically winning the odd preflop button vs blinds cooler. Few seriously B grade sessions playing tired/hungover.

Yeah take my manies Deep I like to float a lot in the spots and raise a lot of turns with semi bluffs/bluffs, so basically top of my range vs top of villains



Brainfade vs fish. Pretttty bad, thought he was vbetting AK when he jammed thought was random kx. Still just aweful. ah well.




Reg timebank jammed turn so I made sure to return the favor. Part of reason I like having a more balanced 3b range from these positions is to have exactly these type of hands on these boards.




Thoughts on river sizing. I was SNAP instant instant called. I was thinking ~$64 but settled on this. Not sure on best sizing in this entire hand, thoughts?

Flop bet is questionable then again i have 7 high in a 4b pot. Pretty good turn. Was figuring out how much to size turn to setup a jam most rivers.

Agro villain from 76s hand. I 5b as I'm assuming he's not jamming less than aakk. So pot likely will be a fold or flat from villain. If it's a flat I want to not always have some hideous decision on Axx flop with KK etc. I think villains also go bananas if checked to on Ax flops too here. PErhaps wrong.
