Big edge, low variance. No month under $1000 profit

Everyone sets goals in terms of ''Getting in x amount of volume and playing optimally". I know it does't make any sense to set goals in terms of monthly profit in high variance poker games, but in the end we do use money to pay bills and landlords do not respect variance.
I've grinded turbo husngs at $20 level for a decent sample and $30 for a smaller sample. Do any of you play these for a living ?Assuming that you live in a low cost nation where $1000/month makes a living.
I quit grinding 2 years ago, while I was traveling around the world. I realize there are many awesome countries (many in South East Asia, but also in South America) where you can live like a boss making $1000/month, but I'm not quite sure at what stake level this can become a reality, taking variance into account.
I've given up on husngs 2 years ago, grinding 8 hours per day but losing touch with my social circle and being isolated in a room. Tilting regularly and not being happy grinding so long.
Now I realize that employment in Latin America is underpaid, I wonder if it is wise to get back into husngs.
Do you think it's easier to make $1000 or more (on avg) multitabling 6max cash at low stakes compared to 1 tabling husngs? I wonder how variance compares in both
I also question whether grinding husngs as a job is sustainable throughout the years (decades) for most people. I think not.
The most gifted husng grinder of my country spamz0r, retired a few years ago. I imagine that the grinding lifestyle no longer suited him.
Surely I feel more balanced and happy away from the online world, but bills have to be paid
