MMA or UFC specifically has became the 2nd most popular sport in Canada in recent years behind Hockey which also includes a lot of fighting. I think It's mostly because Canadians just love to fight and MMA is the closest you are going to get to a real street fight. Not all of Canada is like this but it's not that uncommon for a Canadian to come out of the womb swinging. It does keeps Canada's murder rate down. We are only permitted to own hunting rifles but we are still a bunch of savages so we handle arguments with our fist instead. Fighting is just a part of our culture.

Conor is actually a really nice guy and a family man. His trash talk is his way of promoting himself and the sport a sport in which fighters are really underpaid. The UFC is worth billions but most fighters get paid very little. Part of what Conor is trying to accomplish is to make himself bigger than the sport itself in order to combat the monopoly that is the UFC. They have no choice now but to pay him because he is their biggest star and everyone who gets to fight him gets the payday of their lifetime.

onmybike, it has recently come to many people's attention in NVG that the high stakes players in NLHE and PLO have been using advanced GTO solving programs to assist their play for quite some time now. Are you ever concerned about such a thing in your games? Do you use any special software yourself?

Hey man.. interesting blog. Or at least it was interesting and then got quickly derailed by a lot of hate/envy. I hope you can focus a bit more on posting hands a little bit of strategy talk. As a NLH player its often hard for me to understand the combinatoric and math behind PLO esp H/L. I could see a chance of trying this game but i dont even have an understanding of basic preflop hand selection. Maybe you could break down some basic concepts when posting a hand.. that would be great content for me.

yes it definitly a problem but not so big in 08. I could be in few years wrong i did not go this way instead i do not use any software at all anymore. maybe because of lazyness but it helped me in some way getting better to i think.
i am not that afraid short term for this becasue the programs for hi/lo are so difficult to make GTO wise i think. And it not that lucratif and players who could have ability to help them during play are not good enough in o8 to be veryyy nerves about that.

But yes poker does not last that long anymore and already programs with bit human help can crush highest stakes i think in some games.

thanks did not get that much positive feedback from giving some strats with hand but i will do it more and say basic stuff about it (not going to dicsuss stuff anymore with people on this forum)

i should have FE on river but guy snap cals and i was overrunning him already whole time so probabaly bit tilted and he tought if he have it whatever instead of thinking.

I did read situation that i did not see him having a lot of the hands he rapping (fullhouses) and he has 400+ left so have 8 blocker and normally vs a polerizing bet like that on river i either blufcatch or fold. I could make a spew or he just play the hand bad and is just lucky with random btn clicking.
