Hallo its me

I didnt manage to start the challenge as I was very busy with my appartment. I had three people working ten hours every day in order to finish their project. I couldnt grind at all and I had to stay at my appartment during their working hours

Before:

It took 18 days to get the job done. The specific appartment was a mess. I am quite happy with the transformation as I will own it from 2017. I am waiting to get the furniture until February 5th

I will post the after photo when I get all my stuff

The last two weeks were a waste of my life. I didnt make any progress towards my goals and I wasnt even capable to pursue them

The challenge will remain the same but I will push everything two weeks later.Actually I will add one important part. The............

Bankroll Builder Challenge

Goal: Unlock 1 000$ sngs until September
Starting Roll: 30 000$
Rules: I should have 200 buy ins of the maximum stake I can unlock

Bankrolls:

30 000$ will be the starting bankroll and I can load up to 200$. In order to unlock the next level
60 000$ bankroll is required to load maximum 300$ sngs
100 000$ bankroll is required to load maximum 500$ sngs
200 000$ bankroll is required to load maximum 1 000$ sngs

The other goals remain the same

January Goals:

I will not set any poker goals due to unstable volume and in real life errants I have to run in order to finish my appartment

- Work out 10 times at gym
- 4 meals of junk food
- 8 glasses of alcohol
- Read 2 books

Weekly Goals starting on Monday 18th:

- Work out 5 times
- 2/4 meals/glasses
- Read 1 book

Starting at 93.5kgs

Gl in 2016!!!

Some people informed me some other people said i didnt pay for coaching i received. I would like to let the public know what was going on, be aware the whole truth and learn to protect themselves from my experience

XXX was paid on 26th October. From that date onwards i didnt receive any coaching so from my point of view i didnt owe any money to him. Even if i was under contract there are some crucial counterpoints

In the beginning of the contract XXX said he will take 2-4 students which was the main reason I signed with him as i wouldnt be comfortable to share my 6 max hyper discussions if he already had a stable

Secondly the contract was for 150 hrs per year for two years. I received 28hrs in 6 months while he said he prefers to start with more hours early in the agreement. He was the main reason why we were proceeding so slow as he travelled in first and third month of our agreement. In October-November either he was running visas or he was ill while i saw him playing and i have screenshots of everything. You can read a previous post to learn all the details

Then he kept lying and stalling about giving coaching, would you ever trust a person, if you take into consideration the above to comfortably discuss about strategy? Are you going to trust this person that he isnt going to share strategy you discussed with his stable?

His inadequate communication and lack of professionalism lead me to not honor our ''contract'' as he didnt either. Again i didnt receive any further coaching since the last payment

By the time i decided to not honor our contract i should have received around 75hrs of coaching and i didnt receive even half of them(28). Obviously you can imagine my fear that the quality of the coaching would have dropped when he would give 4.35x more coaching than he originally did when he clearly said he prefers to do more hours in the beginning

I was trying to be more than fair to everyone and even though i wasnt happy with what was going on i never treated bad towards anyone. Neither him or his friend that he suggested i should take up coaching hours from this person

My questions are:

- Would you ever trust this person to not share your strategy?
- Would you ever trust him at all when he was lying constantly about illness when you saw him playing?
- Do you think a person who delivered 28hrs of coaching in (near) 6 months would be capable to deliver same quality of coaching in the same period if he has to coach 122 hours? Especially when you take into consideration he will have more students because the stable is running and asking for applicants
- Do you think is a clear cut situation of stalling and angleshooting in order to force the student dropping?

I am very careful when i am about to name people but if i ever learn that he misinformed anyone again, i will have to put his name out there

Learn from my experience

Regarding my challenge. I hit the gym 2 times this week, i have 300 pages to complete my first book of the year, unfortunately i ate 3 junk food meals already but i drunk only half glass of wine. I didnt play any poker as i am still busy renovating my appartment but i plan to start playing soon

Stay tuned

Ps Any advice/opinion/discussion is appreciated

Damn sounds like a ****ty situation, from someone who has no experience in coaching contracts and situations and completely unbiased. It sounds like your position is very fair.

I would't trust that coach and I'd says that he is the one that broke the contract by not coaching you like he said. Gl with that and the appartment, alot of job to do.à

Epic thread overall, very inspiring goal for 2016. I didn't even know it was possible for a human being to reach this lvl of awesomeness.

The 1st week

Not the best start in my challenge. I am still busy with my appartment. I ordered light fixtures, paintings and fireplaces this week. Enough excuses though

-Pros

a) I hit the gym 3 times. My goal is to workout around 5 times per week. It is an improvement but I need to motivate myself more

b) I expected to put 0 hours of grinding. I managed to play 5.1 hours

c) I finished one book. I was reading the same book 2-3 months ago but I didnt finish it

Some really nice quotes:

''If we live, God will live with us. If we refuse to take risks, HE will return to heaven and he will stay there as a concept of philosophical discussion''

''He walked through the abyss which seperates the human being from his dreams. Now, he couldnt even return back''

''The realisation of death enhance human beings to live longer''

My rate: 8/10

d) I drunk only 1.5 (3*0.5) glass of wine which is a huge improvement from drinking 5-7+ glasses of alcohol every week

-Cons

a) I ate non healthy meals every day. I need to change this as fast as possible in order to observe a huge improvement. Most of them were homemade pop corn meals and not purely junk food but it is a leak nonetheless. I was 93.5kg when I started. The weight will be updated every Monday when I wake up

b) I should have put more grinding hours. I was very busy but I had enough time to play another 5 hours, minimum

c) 0 extra cardio which is unacceptable ( i did around 3*40minutes in gym but it doesnt count as ''extra'')

I watched 3 movies this week

-Steve Jobs It was quite entertaining movie. It shows that no matter how hard you will be kicked, you can be successful if you are passionate and crazy enough

-Spotlight Another interesting movie. It shows power can corrupt even the most key members of a society. Moreover it shows that people are naive and they are afraid to dig deeper. Knowledge is a very dangerous weapon. Most people prefer to take the path of unknowledge. All you need is dragging out one piece and the pyramid will fall

-Revenant I really enjoyed the movie. Most people think it is overrated. I think it will win at least 30% of the oscar awards. Amazing performance from Leonardo Dicaprio. I do feel the movie focused to promote on how good Dicaprio can perform. Very good story, amazing pictures and outstanding performance (again) from Leonardo Dicaprio

My bets are on

Best Movie: Big Short
Best Actor: Leonardo Dicaprio
Best Actress: Brie Larson
Best Director: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu
Second Best Actor: Christian Bale
Best Picture: Revenant
Best Editing: Mad Max

I am thinking to buy this product because I am really curious about the presentation

but I wasnt really impressed by the introduction

My next book will be

I dont have anything against him but i advise everyone i know to stay away from him. He is a very shady person and a very bad business persona. What are you going to do is up to you but i dont consider him as enemy

Unfortunately it takes around two hours. This is why most of the time I stop writing but i will try to keep this thread alive. I am on pace for half of my goals. I would be ahead if i didnt have appartment preparations, but i dont like excuses. I could have slept less or i could have optimized my time in order to grind and work out more

HOW TO SET UP YOUR ENVIRONMENT: THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT NON-POKER AREAS THAT YOU NEED TO FIX!

1. ARE YOU BEING DISTURBED WHILE PLAYING (BY PARTNER, CHILDREN, NEIGHBORS)?
Having your own space is super important.

We have had students who did everything “perfectly” but only succeeded after we eliminated the biggest form of distraction – the NOISE of the family.

You need to be absolutely crazily demanding here. Make sure that everybody around you respects this rule 1000%. Any time they don’t obey your rule you have to react in a very strict way – NO MATTER WHAT!

I have personally kicked out my girlfriend from our shared apartment for 3 days because she “wanted to ask me a quick thing”. People usually don’t mean no harm, but sometimes you have to be an *******.

Rest assured, I was never disturbed again when the door in my home office was closed.

If you’re too weak to do this, then don’t complain when people disrespect your time and rules. Also – don’t complain if your progress is slower.

2. ARE YOUR BASIC BIOLOGICAL NEEDS TAKEN CARE OF?
No, I’m not talking about “making love”.

I’m talking about food and shelter. Do you have your meals planned-out and your refrigerator filled?

One reason why many players tilt is because they have bad eating habits.I’m not talking about eating fast food (that’s another story), but about food in general.

Many players play for 6 hours, then don’t find anything to eat at home at 11pm, eat some chips and cookies and then wonder why they are on monkey tilt at 3am.

By good eating habits, I simply mean:

Eating regularly: have your meals roughly planned
Always have a snack available that is READY TO EAT in case you have a longer session and need to eat NOW
The famous pee-bottle. You don’t want to quit a good session or fishy opponent because, well, you know what!

3. IS YOUR FAMILY/PARTNER/FRIEND SUPPORTIVE?
We have had a VERY talented player, one of the most talented ever.

He was “perfect” in most aspects, but his partner did not support him playing poker.

He did play, but constantly had to fight battles outside of the poker tables. This made him weaker at the table and ultimately resulted in him quitting poker.

It is YOUR life and you live only once. Don’t let weaklings tell you to “find a compromise”. People will try to manipulate you by saying you are very “egotistical”, when in reality THEY are – why else would they want to influence what YOU are doing?!

Here is the good type of compromise. Rovar, one of our successful students and BPC heroes, has a very supportive wife.

She supported him when he started CFP in every way possible. She did not complain about “poker”. Rovar made sure to take her regularly on “dates” like dancing and other stuff she enjoyed.

At the end of the day, if your partner/family does not support you 100%, why are you wasting your time with them?

Do you really want to be with a person who has a problem with you playing a game? Do you have no self-respect? The irony is that you will be LESS respected if you don’t follow your own dreams!

We do what we teach. BPC even offers poker players the chance to live together and support each other.

Our infamous Maribor poker house out-competed the rest of the group by a lot!

If you are young and independent and want to succeed at poker, we highly recommend you to move into a poker house. The changes in your results will be nothing short of phenomenal.
