Been away from poker for an year and now looking to get back.
I had played poker for 3 years from 2016 to 2018, as can be seen in my old thread here. When I first joined 2plus2 during those times, I was a losing 2NL player and improved from there to be a decent tournament player at low stakes and live cash games.

I moved to a different city with no live games and with a new job didnt have the time to play tourneys. I now look to become better in online cash games.
This thread is dedicated to that journey.

We have not decided on the stakes to play but I will be playing on mostly Indian sites for the time being. Lets see where we can go.

We opened up the old poker sites and found about 12 dollars in SpartanPoker and 42 dollars in ********** so we start from there. I am thinking of dabbling a few hands in NL2, NL6 and NL10(Not exact amounts as in India games are in INR). NL10 in India is about 14 dollars buyin.
Right now the idea is to find a stake where I feel comfortable.

I played 2 tables of NL1 and 2 tables of NL2 and was a small losing session of $0.17.
The currency is in INR and not USD as the image shows.


It was good fun playing after so long. I feel rusty for sure.

Played a few more stakes so now i had tables at NL2, NL4, NL6 and NL10.
The sessions haven't yet been profitable despite me running good over EV.



I will probably add another site to the mix next month.

Had my first winning session today playing mostly 1-2 tables of NL10.
I think i need to play 1 or 2 tables for a few days as I am not yet in the zone to multitable higher.

I have played another couple of sessions since my last post and had decent sessions.

Having played a few limits and tried out, i feel it is better to start with low limits and have a bit more cushion in terms of buyins. Will be aggressive with shot taking though.

Goals for November:
Play - 10k hands
Limit - NL2, NL4

A solid session in NL2



Tables are a problem though. I am looking comfortable at 3 tables and beginning to look at 4 tables. Finding more than 5-6 tables on my current sites will be hard though.

Weekdays have not played much as I have a day job.

Hmmm looks like a cooler I guess. Doing well so far, can't win em all so don't sweat it. Good luck OP. Also NL2 is $.01/$.02 blinds. 2$ big blind is NL200. Does the site you play on use USD or rupees or something else?? Where do you live? I'm guessing somewhere in India?

Yes I live in India and the sites use Rupees as its denomination. The converters just puts $ in place of Rupees.
NL2 in India is INR 1/INR 2

Played a decent volume this weekend and had a nice little run. I tried to play a few hands at NL4 giving myself a buyin to have a feel for it. That didn't do too well though but with only 182 hands played at NL4 at -15bb/100 the shot is still on.

Current Bankroll - $82

Played 3 sessions this week and about 1500 hands. Took a coaching session and got a few great points to work over. Also on Coach's recommendation moved up to NL4 even though my bankroll doesn't allow it as NL2 in India is mostly short buyin tables.
I was very comfortable at NL2 but NL4 definitely is a step up.

I have started to play 3 tables now, mixing in 4 at times.

Been quite some time since my last update.
My trial for drive hud has ended and I lost hands played in last week of November. Was travelling for the first 2 weeks for December and could not play. Back again since 17th of December.

I managed to get Hand2Note running so hopefully it will be possible to have a hud for free. I am using only the basic stuff of VPIP and PFR so a simple hud suffices for now. Having said that H2N's default hud seems to have a ton of info in the popup but I am not yet using them till I get the basics down first.
