Yea Sunday was not fun. The large majority of my frustration stems from the lack of integrity from Party Poker. For those of who that don't know. The network was constantly being disconnected for a large percentage of players, while other players were disconnect free. I was personally disconnected for 15ish minutes while playing 4 GSSS events. Including the $1k buy in and the $500 buy in. Here's a little quip I posted on pocketfives about my current feelings on the network.

"I was in the middle of 4 GSSS including the $1k buy in and the $500 buy in when I was disconnected for 15ish minutes. Not only did it drastically affect my chip stack, but the tilt level it induces is quite significant. Top this off with Jeffrey Haas (director of poker at Party Poker) lying to my face about the re entry issues on the sister sites.. I seriously question the integrity of the network and the actually integrity of the poker being played. Yes I will occasionally bash on WSOP, but I have never question the integrity of the poker being played on the site. Unfortunately, it would be hard to grind tournaments full time and simply not play on PP, which they must realize and continue to not care about their product. However, I am certainly taking a break from the site and will probably come back with a much reduced schedule of play on the network."

This leaves me in a tough spot. It would be nearly impossible to complete my goal in this thread without playing on PartyPoker. But damn do I never want to play there again. I 100% believe the integrity of the game is compromised. It is simply not a fair game. Openly allowing some people to re enter in freeze outs and only have some people being disconnected in a tournament. Its absurdly disgusting.

That is beyond unacceptable. Hope they get their act together, there are lots of people watching over how online poker pans out in Jersey, Nevada, & Deleware and issues like site integrity are just more reasons for politics of other states to use against online Poker.

Also sorry to hear that these issues happened when you had so much invested. Have you emailed them requesting action be taken?

I have not emailed them because I really don't believe anything will come of it. Other people have emailed who have very similar situations on Sunday and they got nothing. Customer service for PP is horrible and is pretty much a waste of time. I've dealt with them a few times in the past and it just gave me a headache.

Some good news is pokerdb updated their 2015 stats. The bad news is I have not made any sort of mark on the leader boards, but I am not too far off. Considering this was my worst month of poker ever I am fairly happy with my results. I'm going to look deeper into the standings later and post an update in my monthly poker review.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been focused more on my twitch, which I hope you guys are checking out. I know a few guys who follow this thread also follow me on twitch and I appreciate it.

My January was awful. It was by far my biggest losing month ever in poker. With a few days to reflect I can pin point reasons why. First off, there's a lot of variance in MTTs and I ran horrible. There's no way I can ignore the fact that I played good enough to win, but could not get a big score. However, I did not play my best. MTT grinding can play tricks with your mind and sometimes you loose your own game. I was playing way too loose. For example, I was playing too many suited connectors, suited one gapers, and small pocket pairs. I decided to cut them out almost completely the past few days and I've noticed big improvements.

Still I feel I was playing maybe my B- game and if I ran good I could of had my biggest month ever. I had a lot more buy ins than I usually do in an average month, but it worked against me. Another problem I had last month was playing too many tournaments. I stopped looking for good value tournaments and was just playing everything. Some of these tournaments I think have a low ROI and a lot of variance. So in hindsight I have to ask myself, Why did I play those tournaments?

To end my recap of last month I just want to mention that I ran horrible in cash games, as well. Well below all in ev. But to make matters even worse I probably was playing my C game in cash. I lost a nice chunk of money grinding cash and it was really just a bad month.

Although last month sucked, there were a few highlights. I had 1 score that will still be on my high stakes leader board at the end of the year. Also, 2 scores on the mid stakes and micro stakes level. So, all was not lost last month.

Towards the end of January I started to realize that I needed to make some changes in my game and I did that. Immediately I had some nice scores and I was able to carry that through to this month. I was able to already turn my profits out of the red and into the black on 888 tournaments. My goal for the month is to try to break even on the year by the end of February. It will be a lofty goal, but it would be amazing to get there and have 10 months ahead of me to make some money.

Lesson of the Day
When you're running bad it tends to affect your play and you start to play worse. Never let that happen and you'll be out of your downswing in no time. Grind through the pain, but make sure you're playing well.

Fun stream last night with 5 deep runs and 2 final tables. Unfortunately I can't get wins as of late. But I'm playing real solid and I just have a gut feeling that I'm about to go on a massive heater.

I have 14 final table cashes so far this month with 1 win. So come check me out tonight and watch some final table action.

I guess you caught the end of my stream the other night. The tournament play is the real stream and the cash game is basically an overtime stream.

Multiple reasons why, but main reason is because its hard to transition from 6 hours of tournament poker to 100 bb cash game poker. So I'll often buy in for 50 bigs. I'm winning at 9bb/100 since deciding to do this.

Thanks puregenius, i've been wondering where you've been. So far this month is going pretty mediocre. I'm up but I'm not on pace to wipe away my January loses. But I'll be streaming again today at 8:30.

Yea still following. In China now for business though, so not much posting and no twitch streaming as the wifi here stinks. Be back next week, I expect you'll ship a big before I'm back.

This is my first time signing onto 2+2 in awhile, but thanks fast11375. It was fun talking with you last year.

Reading this thread makes me want to start another one, but I don't have any goals or challenges in mind. Any ideas?
