When you lead the KQ6r flop from BB into 3 opps what kind of hands are in your semi-bluffing range? I presume you squeeze with QQ pre, do you lead KQ as well?

And I really like "The more I learn, the more nihilistic I become. Two states are hard to find: inspiration, and motivation. You feel the futility of action; the best course becomes to sleep all day. How does one handle the paradox?

The release of an absolute purpose; the fervorous pursuit of whatever the f**k you feel like. Values and objectives must be defined. You build yourself, rise to excellence in your own way, and nothing else matters."

I've reached the same conclusions. More simply put, the purpose of life is whatever you pretend it to be.

Mediocre. I play a few times a year with my dad, and used to play my roommates in college after going out drinking and failing to pull girls. Planning on getting decent, it's cool playing a game of complete information and one of incomplete information. Poker models life better while chess exercises pure logic/thinking. Ecgrinder1 in chesstime if anyone wants a match.

That protects you from potentially making a bad b/f if he spazzes on the river with AQ when you lead, and you're not missing any value.

If you think he's nitty enough to check back his Q's on the river then I like a b/f.
This was my line of thought in the hand. It's pretty close but probably a ch/call

Pretty much never lead semi-bluffing that flop. I'm used to taking lines like this in 2/5 where I expect AA KQ and AK to spazz and build a huge pot. After talking to my friends about it I prefer taking a different line when playing deep in the bigger games/vs better opponents.

Glad you liked my philosophical rant! It's a pretty crazy/dangerous conclusion

I think if you have a made hand leading range you need to also have a semi-bluff range to balance it. I think ATs and AJs with back door flush draws would fit well since you're unlikely to make 10x his cbet if you c/c and hit your gut shot. I don't think a typical 2/5 tag is gonna raise AK or AA there as they've all at least read Super System and that part about Brunson leading his small sets.

Ep open 20 I think...fish villain calls in hj...you raise to 80 I think in the co...both flat.

Flop 985 one heart. Fish donks, fish in hj flats, you raise 200+. First guy fold and second fish calls.

4 of hearts turn. Check check.

River ace of heart, fish bets 300+ you call quickly. Fish shows queen high flush.

Wed night you were the young guy blonde hair, wearing a hoodie, shorts, backpack and Nike sneakers. Asian to your right and two Asians to your left. The big pot was against the Asian fish to your right. I think you thought he show rolled you.

Didn't realize it was you till your last update.

Good Borgata trip yesterday. Had a slow day playing $5/$T in which I didn't get into any big pots or any challenging situations. Card dead, mostly. Had an excellent sushi and wine dinner at Izakaya. It's always nice playing in the Borgata, and they have the sexiest purple chips of all time. However, the cocktail waitresses do not compare to Parx.

For sure, we'll be here until Thursday and I'll be in Vegas June 1- July 15.

Many beers today, long session and some T/T tomorrow as long as the games are good. I'm way behind in volume this trip but my game is improving. Lots of non showdown spots, intentionally bluffing people off top pair way more than I used to, more value from marginal hands, hand reading better, and more hours playing in the bigger games.

$1,000 max 2/5 is much better than $500 cap 2/5 in terms of both possible winrate and development as a player. I've gone from never straddling to often trying to get a round of straddles going and encouraging anyone who wants to buy in for over the max. The deeper they are, the more I'll crush the egotistical fake pros.

"Fake Pro" - Often seen wearing ****ty beats headphones and toting an ipad at the table. Backpacks are common, especially of the drawstring variety. Lack of the ability to dress well. These players win marginally in LLSNL games by preflop hand selection and knowledge of very basic poker strategy that they have read in online articles and forums. They do not think deeply about the game, and are not good at poker. They do not contribute to the game, lack social skill, will not straddle, gamble, smile, etc. The fake pro is liable to berate rec players and talk about hand ranges, lines, general poker strategy at the table. In summation, the fake pro takes up a seat, makes the game less comfortable for rec players, and is generally bad for the games.
