After the orthodontist appointment, I was able to squeeze in a quick session. When I got to the casino, they started a new game so I sat.
Seats 1,3, and 6 were OMC. Seats 5 and 9 were middle aged Asians. Seats 2 and 4 were Mexicans in their late 20's/early 30's. Seat 7 looked Samoan. I sat in seat 8.

from MP. Made multiple min raises to $6 regardless of position, number of limpers, etc.
Hero (~$95) has not played a hand in almost 2 orbits. A couple people recognized me from yesterday.
V opens for $6 UTG1. Seats 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 call. Hero has Q
8
in BB. Hero shoves.
With $42 in dead money (in my head, at least), I thought it was worth the gamble. Even if I'm called, I had solid equity vs. most of the calling range, i.e., 22+, AT+, broadways. I felt if I could get through V, all would just fold their marginal holdings. V calls. I flush. EZ game.
HH2
V BB (Seat 6 OMC ~$140) He had just stacked off lightly pre a couple hands prior to the current hand. Won gii with a FD OTT the previous hand.
H UTG2 (~$210) Has been snug since the hand above.
H has K
Q
and makes it $15. V defends.

His lead OTF meant business. He was never folding, exuding such strength. I gave him AJ, AT, TT, JJ most of the time. But only combo I am worried about is K
Q
. Well, not really. My hand holds.
HH3
This hand involved some thinking.
V UTG (Seat 2, ~$160) He probably played 40/20ish, raising half the times he came into the pot. He bet folded several times to raises on later streets in the hand.
H BTN (~$340) Not really active. Being selective. It hasn't been too long (maybe 1 hr 15 mins?) since my Q8s shove pre, so I was on good behavior.
V limps UTG. Seats 5, 6 and 7 limp. Hero makes it $23 with J
J
. Seat 1 defends BB, V calls, and Seat 5 calls.
Flop ($100-$5) K
T
2
It gets checked around.
Turn ($95) 8
V now has his shades on. He immediately looks at his chips. Grabs about 5 chips without moving them out of his stack, but elects to check. To me, that indicated a desire to vb thin, but couldn't pull the trigger. I give him weak K or a T. Seat 5 wants to muck his hand, as does Seat 1. The turn also gets checked around.
River ($95-$1) 7
Seat 1 checks. V pretty quickly bets $25. Seat 5 folds. Time for me to tank. His action/inaction on the turn showed some strength, but not much. I certainly had SD equity. But how often is he betting a T otr on a flushing and straightening board? (Although it's very difficult to put me on J9 or 96.) I decide that he has a weak K here a lot of the times. Sure, he might have had K
X
and backed into a flush. (Consistent with his turn action) However, I felt strong that A
K
, K
Q
, K
J
and for sure K
T
would have spoken sooner. I decide to fold out K's in his range and turn my hand into a bluff. I raise it to $90. Seat 1 folds. Seat 2 thinks about a min and folds. I know I am repping thin, backdoored spades, 777 and maybe KQ, KJ vbing thin. But I felt he was weak enough to find a fold with a weak K. What do you think?
Seat 1 folds. V thinks a minute and reluctantly folds. I later ask whether he folded a king. He refused to answer.
Well, that's it for now. Thanks for reading.
