What's up 2+2
Call me J. Wanted to document progress and general thoughts somewhere to keep track of where I've been and where I'm headed. Optimistically, if this is successful I might make a website / start vlogs etc
Part I
I've never been one to keep track of hourly rates and winrates etc never really bothered using HUDs so I'll give a general overview. Historically, it started as a hobby. I dusted a good chunk of change on online MTTs (peanuts in reality but when you're a youngster working some crap part time job it amounts to a large %). Thankfully managed to graduate University during this time in my life so it wasn't a complete fail.
Instead of getting some steady job grinding the 9-5 with a wife and kids etc a series of fortunate and unfortunate events lead to poker as a career. Starting with 5k (binked some small local freezeout) at 50c/$1 PLO (before Jnandez ruined it for everyone) I was able to make enough $ to get by and start taking shots at $1/$2 while living with parents and ex girlfriend. Ran it up to 20k in a few months (incredibly fortunate in retrospect) and ex and I found a nice home to buy. She had a good career working for government and parents helped $-wise. Things were going better than I'd hoped sold a bunch of action to an old friend who had been with me from the beginning and all of a sudden we're shotting 2/4 PLO mixing NLH cash. I was grinding every single day to make ends meet, cover my share of the mortgage and provide financial security as the other 'investors' in the house were understandly ignorant/sceptical that poker could be a real job.
Will release part II if 20 people sub
GLHF at the tables
