Hi there,

My name is Mrp00ks on twitch and I will be playing 6-max zoom on pokerstars.

The goal is to reach $1000 dollars with just 6-max zoom cashgames and I will start on NL5 with $100. when I have played 10k hands on a level (NL5) and it ends up in a profit, then I am allowed to move up no matter what the bankroll is.

Come and check me out on the stream and say hi!

Long time no see guys. I picked up on my challenge!

I started with $50 instead of $100 (because I am broke) and play on 888 poker. I play NL5 and snap poker (this is the zoom version of 888 poker).
I don't play on twitch anymore, I like poker better so will be focusing on that part alone.

I started my journey on 4-2-19, and now is my first report of how I am doing:
- hands played: 9040
- sessions: 40
- bb/100: 9,86
amount won: $44,55
+ $6 won (free ticket to 20.000 guarenteed tournament on 888 poker.)
+ $ 0,30 won (free ticket to 3.000 guarenteed tournament on 888 poker.)
Total: $50, 85

I am very happy with the result! I think its my best result in 9k hands ever on NL5. I reached a bankroll of $100 and moved up to NL10.

Stay tuned for my next update (I hope faster than my last one).
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

In this post I will tell a little bit about myself and what my experience is with poker.

I was born at Aruba and moved to the Netherlands when I was just under 1 year old. My parents are Dutch and worked at Aruba for 3 years. I was raised in a small town and moved to the main capital of the Northern part when I was 19 years old and still live there now.

My first experience with poker was at school where my friends ask me to join them in a cashgame, I joined in and the first signs of a huge fish where showing. I remember one of my friends saying “why do you bet so much?! Hahaha because I was a big fish my friend. After that day I was sold. I started to play online, first on Everest where you could play free tournaments and win like $0,05 when you would win, I loved it so much. After a while I got more confident and tried pokerstars and started to make some deposits (and again and again). Ofcourse I would lose, but I still loved the game and bought my first poker books (Dan Harrington). Eventually I was a break-even player on the micro cashgame stakes 2NL and made some very small profits with MTT’s.

About 2 years ago I worked part-time and was playing 2 full days of poker (MTT’s) on the side. I played 50 tournaments a day on different sites with a buy-in of $5 on average and had my best year ever. I played around 5.000 tournaments and made $4.000 that year. It gave me a boost and signed up with BPC (best poker coaching) for the ZOOM 6-max cash game course (I didn’t go for MTT’s because I wanted a better daily structure, 5 min breaks every hour is killing). I learned a lot at BPC, I got a lot of coaching and am thankful for everything they thought me. I didn’t finished my course sadly enough, because I had to go work fulltime and didn’t had enough time to make it work.

I never ever played above the micro stakes and that’s the goal for me personally. Lets GO!

I hope I gave you guys a little bit of an idea of where I come from and what my experiences are with poker.

Next Update NL10

I moved up to NL10 from NL5 when I had $100 dollar. I found that this level is pretty much the same, didn't expect that. It went very well!
- hands played: 6.996
- sessions: 20
- bb/100: 11,01
amount won: $77,01
+ $16 won (free ticket to 20.000 guarenteed tournament on 888 poker.)
+ $ 1,20 won (free ticket to 3.000 guarenteed tournament on 888 poker.)
and some small cashes from free tournaments on 888 poker
Totalwin: $93,10

Bankrol $193,10

Again I am pleased! NL10 is my highest level I normally play and to do so well is above my own expectation. I also don't use a HUD because its not possible in snap 6-max cashgame and I actually like it. People need to put more effort in hand-reading without it.

One negative point that I had was a big tilt session of -$47,00. My biggest issue with Tilt is that I think to much about my bankroll and want to make up for my losses. It affects in play by calling to much OTR when I know Villain probably has a better hand and I should fold but just can't in that state of mind.
But they say when you have a big losing sessions it makes you think about yourself and your plays. It made me think and aware that bankroll is not that important... I mean if you have a bankroll of $150 or $270 it shouldn't matter what you do on the poker table right?

I will post my graph in about 2 days.

update NL10

It was a rough week for me. I started very well on the challenge but the heavy-storm has hit me and I started playing bad. I called way to much all-in and with a lose range. and maybe they started to notice I was playing pretty aggressive. But enough of the excuses here are the stats:
hands played: 5609
sessions: 13
bb/100 -2,81
Bankroll: $123,12

So for next week my goal is to fold more mediocre hands OTR and try to focus on the small pots.

Update

I am going up and down on 888poker lately. My highest bankroll was $207 but I dropped to $133 and my attempt on NL10 has failed for me personally. I started to miss the HUD ability so I fired up pokerstars again and still had $1,47 on my account and jumped in on NL2 with it and it now stands on $9,50.

I will be playing on both site's from now on. On pokerstars I will be playing NL2 and on 888 I will be dropping down to NL5 again. The target will be trying to get back to the $200 dollar bankroll!

Update

allright! my bankroll from stars went from $1,47 to $50,36 (also included starcoins and promotions), my bankroll on 888 is $127 so the total is now $177. I really like stars again and missed my hud very much. I am going to play NL5 on stars as well now. I will be playing only 1 table because I picked up twitch again.

I am going to do my best on NL5 and I will let you guys know how it went!

I will post a graph of NL2 6-max zoom on stars up till this point.
