A short delay in my update, as i can tell, i have already written quite a bit, but i did not save it when i restarted my browser, therefore a real real quick one right here, summarised the last couple of days:
Leipzig was 7/10, event was quite nice, the venue was amazing, but staying in a 8 story building on the last floor without elevator is everything but fun, when u usually sit in your studio in Malta, and literally never walk around ( yes i need to work more on my gym visits, but for now i had to many excuses that made me not go lol..)
Germany itself, well the journey towards Hamburg from Malta to Frankfurt and connection flight to Hamburg was a bit more rough than it should have been. For like 2 years when i fly with the plane, and the plane starts to decend toward the targeted airport, i have like a sticking pain in my upper forehead, basically right under my right eyebrows. It feels like someone is putting needles against my skin but from the inside lol, like hundreds of them, meanwhile the eyes start to have some tears as well, it is really not for the fun part of it.
Nevertheless i got "lucky" and on my flights back to Malta i had no pain when decending to any airport, so good stuff. Just yesterday i had an short first telephone interview for one of the bigger companies here in Malta for the position of: German VIP Manager with quite a reasonable salary, considering, that the malta tax percentage and overall percentages of the salary that is taken away (taxes, social security) is way lower here in Malta than anywhere else in europe. I remember years ago i was working in Germany, Frankfurt am Main in a Hostel as checkpoint agent, i signed the contract for €1500 gross but in the end had like 900-1k net, then sick expenses as well, and remember, it was in germany, so i paid around 400€ rent for a room in a private penthouse 1h outside of the city, and had issues to come to work in time as well as my connections were not the best using DB - Deutsche Bahn
so there i had to pay around 180€ for a monthly bahn card + up to 120€ in transportation using taxi when i did not make the connection to get home. so yeah quick maths, 900-400-120-180 well i had €200 left for food, lucky i could eat breakfast every day in the hostel lol. That was my life like, after school when i finished with my volunteering internship in a seal station.
And there i knew, i will be traveling alone or with someone, and in that place in frankfurt i met my now wife, who would have known how all will turn out for me to the positive.
Well alright i can just tell, before i started traveling and living in other countries, my life was quite a desaster, nothing seemed to work out well for me. Then i started traveling and it was like something or someone wanted me to achieve all my steps, my small goals i had and with every year i had a better job, higher salary and of course, a bit higher savings.
Alrigh alright, it will happen sometimes, that i just fly in my thoughts and write different topics hidden in 5 other topics, so please apologise that, it is just my way of thinking.
Nonetheless next week probably regular interview for new highest paid position that i have every interviewed for and i feel definetly like i will crush it. Same goes for my wife actually, she has one interview as well, just quick, we work both in iGaming, it is THE industry here on the Island of Malta. When landlords ask you where u make your money, and you just say igaming, they dont ask anything else, but ok, the rents here at least are not the lowest that needs to be told for sure as well. We once paid 900 excl bills for a 1 bedroom apt that was as big as my garden shed at my mums house
But when u look for a place at the right time ( like now in the beginning - winter of the year) then the prices have dropped at least by 20%. Usually a good 2 bedroom apt with some views in malta costs around €1400. A good 3 bedroom u get for already €1700. Penthouses start good at €1.900. And a good 1 bedroom apt (without view) will cost you €1.000.
So you can probably imagine, a €900 or €1500 net salary is not helping on this island, u should at least, when u live life alone make around €2.000 net to have an acceptable living, as the costs of food are way higher than rest of europe, cheapest food is in germany and croatia. My wife and I can live good with €4600 net p. month but investing each 2.000 hours a year, i mean yeah u can do the math, and this is where i see me crushing at Smart Spin, not only to get to higher stakes, but to make a living to start building up a real estate portfolio, i will tell more on a later stage, so far yeah, that was it, i have applied for my promotion to the €5 Limit and with some luck i might get it as well.
So far i played
1500 Games on $0,25 limit
1000 Games on €1 Limit
5500 Games on €2 Limit.
Hope u enjoyed the not so quick read, have a good one everybody, may the cards be with you lol.
