Went up and down the stakes today. Played 2NL for 4 hours straight on 5 tables and invested winnings into 5NL. Played that on 3 tables for a while then went to 10NL with the winnings in a final showdown. It worked, for now.

Bankroll: $83

Profit: ~$50

Going to do the same and go up and down until I'm comfortable. I will post some hands as well from now on to get some constructive and sharp feedback (no fatboy54 and likes though).

Nah, it doesn't work. Even though I'm confident in beating 5NL and 10NL my bankroll just can't handle it yet.

I moved down to 2NL where I belong and I'll play on the safer side.

Bankroll was around $35 a couple days ago (yes, -$50 lol), now I'm at $59 playing 2NL exclusively on 6 tables. I'll keep doing this until I can move up to 5NL comfortably. No ****ing around now and experimenting, it just doesn't work.

Went really slow for a while, every table was tight. Then I played a session now and people just went all-in like crazy. Made $10 in 20 minutes, lol. Maybe mornings are filled with tight regs and afternoons with crazy people? These stakes are so weird.

That JJ vs QQ was a tilting one :P

I've found this to be true on MTT SnG. At mornings and early in the afternoons I find a lot more regs than later.

Will keep reading!

Played around ~1k hands and lost around 2 BI today but this was the first time I didn't make it worse by tilting, so I'm really happy.

One of the hands (didn't copy the history so just the outlines):

I had AJ (BTN), raised, got called.

Flop: JJA (****, I have the nuts, wat i do)
Villain raises, I call.
Turn: 3
Villain raises, I re-raise, he calls.
River: K
Villain all-in. (im thinking the idiot has Kx, Q10 or AK, instacall)

Villain shows: KK

The second BI was fighting a flush with a straight which was kind of my fault but meh. Was a good session anyhow, let's hope tomorrow I get luckier.

Played ~2k hands today. FR was so sloooooooow and today was sooo tight that I had to play 500 hands of 6-max to wake up which accounted for about 90% of today's tiny $1 profit. The faster pace and looser players seem more promising so I might play 6-max a bit more, not sure. I just want to get out of 2NL already, losing motivation.

Yeah well I got what I asked for, fast pace all-in fest, lol. I'm not that angry though, it's a learning curve. I won't blame it all on bad beats but I got my fair share of them. Will continue playing but should I lose 4 more BIs I'll go back to FR.

Withdrew $20, it will go towards buying Pokertracker or a similar software. Not sure which one I will buy yet.

Back to $50.

Thank you! If I remember correctly Pokertracker is around $40 and HM is $100? Not sure I haven't looked around much yet. Why do you recommend HM?

Feeling really comfortable in 2NL but I wish I had a tracking software, everything would be a lot easier. I actually downloaded Pokertracker to try the trial version but I can't launch it because of an error. "The PostgreSQL installer did not complete successfully". I found a solution but meh it all seems messy... ...aaand I'm not even sure my netbook with 2gb ram will be able to handle it. I'll try and fix the trial version and come what may.

Edit: okay fixed it in 2 minutes lol. lets see what this thing does

It's pretty nice. The HUD is way too small and distracting for me as of yet but everything else works fine.

i looked around and from 6k hands I managed to lose $8 from the sb position at 2nl, not sure if that's normal. i also play twice as many hands in mp positions than in btn which is weird but it's a small sample so we'll see

Nice and steady. 7bb/100 right now but I need some volume, I'm hoping for at least 5bb/100 after 50k hands. It's not the usual "haha im 5000bb/100 at 2nl wher u at u miserable ****" but I'm trying .

This is like the 5th time I'm flopping quads, stop rigging ps pls.

Yeah it was a $0.27 MTT, it's fun to play these once in a while.

I was also invited to play solo guitar in one of my friend's newly formed band, I'm happy.

I switched to a looser style, opening with a much wider range if the table allows it. I'm also trying not to bleed that much money from SB. I'm happy with my progress, feeling very comfortable. I'll post a graph around 20k hands.

PT full (for all stakes) is $100 just as HM2. My coach had HM2, and I learnt how to use it whit him. It's been a great inverstment.

Very swingy now, a mixture of bad beats and a bit of tilt. People play hands weird like limping with AA and not betting at all, then later going all-in with junk. It's very hard to read the game but I'm still doing good despite some coolers.

All my recent sessions have been losing sessions, just a bunch of coolers and bad play draining my balance. I could go on and on about how unlucky I've been but there's no point, it's just poker. AA vs KK and running into quads with a full don't matter but there are hands I could've played a lot better so I'll make sure to post those when I have time.

Let's learn and recover.

A swingy ride for sure, but it's definitely going in the right direction. I changed my ways a lot recently and it's paying off really well.

I haven't posted in a while, I went down to $45 a week ago which I found really frustrating so I stopped with nitty multi-tabling; progress is so slow and it takes only a couple of bad sessions and plays to lose it all, so I changed a lot of things.

New strategy

2nl cash is filled with nitty regs in the mornings so I simply stopped playing it. It's fold, fold, fold and no matter how I'm giving the dude 10:1 odds with my monster he still folds. I just couldn't get a grip. If and when I play in the mornings, I always go for $0.5 9-man SNGs. It's very soft no matter when I decide to play.

I start playing 6-max 2nl cash at peak times or late afternoons and it's really easy to find loose maniacs. I do table selection now and I play only 4-6 at once. My winrate increased by 5 times in ~10,000 hands and my ROI is at 25%. I can only hope this isn't just a hot streak but me improving.

P.S. I thought buying a ticket from the VIP store and then unregistering from a tournament gives me Tmoney, but it doesn't, only if I win the ticket from a satellite. I wasted 700 FPPs or whatever it is for the Big $11, finished around 14,000th. lol..
