Hello fellow Two Plus Two users!

My username is keychain and the poker world is new to me. I started playing a few weeks ago and then found this forum.
I decided to create a thread because I believe it will help me become a better player. I will be posting my progress at the tables and other poker related things here. Hopefully you will share some insight with me and I'll try to help you aswell (or at least amuse you).

My current bankroll is 91$ and I play NLH 6 max cash games (NL2).

Goals until the end of the summer:

- Improve my english: writing, vocabulary, etc;

- Learn about poker: play at least 25 hours per week and study at least 4;

- Acquire emotional endurance;

- Grow my bankroll to 222,90$.

simple huh?

If you have any questions or suggestions don't hesitate.

See you soon.

That's very precise. What's the significance?

Mission accomplished

Hi folks!

After playing regularly during the past few weeks, I've reached the 222,9$ mark. However I didn't manage to do it by just grinding up NLH 6 max cash games (NL2). In fact, I managed to "only" make around 20$ after 3 weeks of playing NL2.

How did I increase my bankroll then?

Long story short, I received a 3€ freeroll and then decided to play a tournament. I hadn't played that much tournaments before, so I knew it would be a challenge. Somehow I managed to finish runner-up and reached my goal for the summer.

Now I've been questioning myself If I should move or not move up to NL5. After a quick chat with a poker buddy he advised me to pretend that this big score didn't happen and just keep grinding NL2 for a few more weeks.

That being said I have aquestion for you guys.
How do you know when you're ready to move up stakes?

Take care and see you soon!

Hello! I didn't mean to be that precise. 222,9$ equals around 200€, or at least used to, before the recent drop of exchange rates.
