Hello all,
I haven't been putting in nearly the volume I would like recently and thought the best way to restart would be to keep a log! I am currently 23 and set to graduate in May of this year. I quit my job about 13 months ago to play poker full time and planned on doing so up until graduation. Things were going well until about 4 months ago I felt super burned out. My volume for the past 4 months has been about 10 hours a month. Spent most of my BR on a car, golfing, vacations, etc assuming I would just enjoy myself until graduation and getting a "real" job. However, with graduation in sight there are still many things I would like to do before entering the work force. I was born and raised in CA and would love to do some traveling before immediately getting a job. Hence, why I am rebooting my BR to hopefully by myself some more time until I decide what I truly want to do with my life . Currently live at home so my expense aren't really to high which allowed me to go on my hiatus. My bankroll is now only allowing me to play 1/3 (down from 5/5).

Poker Goal: Log 100+ hrs/month
Other Goals: Get to 170 lb.'s by June (Currently 182, was 202 3 months ago), read ~250 pages per month, Sleep no more than 7 hours per day. By the end of 2015 travel outside of CA and its bordering states.

Writing down your goals is a key to success and I hope this log will propel me forward

Longest session I've had in a while. Pretty standard session for the first 9 hours, then a huge whale sat down and was live 30 etc which made for a great last 4 hours. When the game gets semi-tight I've been experimenting with a few things and loosening up a little. When there is 3 plus limpers instead of mucking hands like Q10o,k10o,j9o, (hands of that nature) I've just been raising putting in a healthy raise and c-betting. I'm thinking this will def have a higher EV than just mucking or calling when the game is reg filled with some of the more fit or fold players. Still limping suited Ax and other butter drawing hands. Happy with my stamina but obv it was because the day went ok, hope it stays well when thats not that case

Played the morning game and it started slow with a table of mostly nits or fit or fold players. If there was another table open this morning I definitely would have swapped. One interesting hand early on:

UTG-OMC, plays tag but will occasionally over limp small pocket pairs suited Ax etc.

Hero - Has semi-loose image compared to the table, but in reality is playing relatively tight. Lots of raising pre and continuation betting on missed boards then giving up on pots. Is in the game for 600.

Effective stacks 300

1/3 NL
UTG- V1 limps
folds around
CO- AQo Hero raises to 13
UTG-calls

Flop (25)
9 7 3

V1-checks
Hero- Bets 20
V1- calls

Turn (65)
8

V1-checks
Hero-checks

River (65)
2

V1-checks
Hero-bets 40
V1-Calls and shows 44

My line is very bluffy here but was 99% sure this V folds here

Something I can improve on is taking into consideration how the day is going and really focus on that individual day becoming my image more so than history.

Pretty standard day as far as hands were concerned. Weekday morning game before class so once again it was a pretty tight table. Card dead most of the day. Equal mix of squeezing some pots pre and c-betting flops, but also got called down a couple times. Loose decent reg showed up for last hour which made for a slightly better game. One spot I could improve on is recognizing different situations pre flop with higher SC (QJ,JTs,T9s) as I generally raise about 99% of the time when limped to me. I think there is a larger portion of the time when I should just call behind and gain some EV with hands that have RIO against these type of hands.
