Decided to cook up a meat sauce. Sauce keeps a lot longer than needles so I usually cook up a bunch of sauce and then cook noodles as needed.
Start by browning some sausages. Youre mostly just getting a crisp on the outside, making it easier to dice up. Itll cook in the sauce so it can be underdone.
Diced up some veggies. Thought carrots were weird first time i heard about putting them in meat sauce, but they really make it. Stay somewhat crisp and add some sweetness. Diced those up with some onions and garlic.
Coat the pot with a healthy dose of olive oils and saute the veggies. After a minute or two pour in some red wine and add salt and pepper.
That that simmer for a few minutes then add the meat. Cook together for a few more minutes then add in your sauce. Went with 3 bottles of store bought Prego. Mix that up, throw in some green onions, then add some more wine.
Stir it up, add any more seasonings you like, then cover and bring to a boil. Once it's boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for an hour or so.
Finished product.
Also made some chicken fried rice and diced up a pineapple. Also picked up a few sandwiches and salads, and have a girl coming over tomorrow to cook lunch for my and jdawg. Along with the food i prepped, should have everything i need for a marathon weekend session.
Time to pass out. Hopefully Aaron has a late night at the gay club and I can get off to an early lead.
