End of
day 4 (and im going to do a weekly graph after each sunday, so end of
week 1)
today went well. i was down to about $15 after a couple of bad days. Started off only playing 10c 360s / 25c 45+90s and had a couple of nice scores to top up the bankroll.
I then started taking shots at 0.55c mtts and $1 time tournaments (these are great and low variance imo). I managed to get a $20 score in one of the time tournaments and outright won a 55cent 500cap MTT for $25ish.
Rest of my session I loaded up $1 mtts and under aswell as 50c 360s and 180s. Had some positive variance in the 180s with a couple of final tables.
Week 1 graph:
Was an interesting couple of days and it's definitely a different game down here. There are very few regulars (not sure if they are regulars or just really nitty fish sometimes) who seem to all have similar strategys of playing around 10% of hands regardless of position/blind level/stack size and then only continue after the flop if they hit strong.
I think that these players do not value information enough, and are focussed only on their wholecards. There are limitless sources of information on players that need to be used throughout a tournament/each hand, and the regulars at this level are struggling to use the majority of these information sources. They also struggle with bet sizing both post and preflop and do not value bet enough of the time and definitely need to work on shortstack shove/calling ranges.
The fish are just crazy in general, ranging from stats such as 90/10, 80/60, 50/25, anything really. They will never fold a pair or any kind of straight/flush draw, and often call 90% of their stack on the turn and then check fold rivers. These are the extreme majority of the playerbase.
bankrolls:
$67.31 USD
52.72 FPPs
Going to be an interesting week, plan to play $0.11c-$1 mtts and $3 and under time tournaments tomorrow aswell as mixing in a range of $1.50 and under SNGs.
