What up!
So
For the past week I was playing in average 6 regular and deep ante tables nl 5 up to nl 16. The general idea was that my winrate would skyrocket focus on playing just against fishes. The zoom pool is kind tight so those loose calls oop that fish does on regular and especially deep tables should and would be more profitable. That idea was taking form but I faced some problems. On regular tables fishes does and plays extremally random stuffs and is kinda difficult put them on a range. So when you have you just go for it. But after a while I started question myself if I was overplaying my over pairs and tptk with 150bb deep.
I'm not gonna complain or whatever like that about hands but I will just tell some situation that occured that makes you wonder..."WTF???" ... I saw a hand betweein two fishes where one of them was a mixed of loose passive-calling station-fit or fold type... He called in MP a open raise from utg. Flop came QT8ss, he called a cbet and turn came a 5. That opened another flush draw. He called another bet on turn and the river came a 7. That didn't complete any flush. And in river comes the insteresting part. The other fish bets again on river, he reraises, the other fish raises again and he shoves all-in for 700bb pot with Q8 that he "slowplayed" and the other fish instacall him with QT.
I mean "WTFFFFF?????"
How can you tell??? Impossible!!! If I have set of queens I would spend all my timebank and make a crying call.
I wrote about that hand just to illustrate a lot of situation that I faced like that.
You barrel IP your value hands for value and protection and on the most blank river they check raise you with flop bottom 2 pair on the most wet board and you (??????) call....and your mouse flies across the tables...lol just kidding ...break a mouse is EV-
Another "problem" is that when you are playing few tables you can't just wait for spots. You have to create them by opening up your range and isolating fishes more often with marginal holdings. And then you miss the board 70% of the time, make a cbet and they call you oop with K2s and backdoor flush draw no flop T73.
After a while you already knows which tendencies the fish have, get it in good against him, get suckout on river and he leaves the tables or give "your" money in the next hand to another reg.
Those hands could be gone in my way. I ran bad and that's normal. I played between 10k and 15k hands and the variance can be and was brutal in that time. Last month I had a stretch of 18k hands on zoom nl5 where I broke even and after that I ended up the month with close 11bb/100. So I'm back to zoom nl10 because I can put a bigger volume and the downswing that could last weeks may last just days when it happens.
Let's see how will be from now on
