Punishment for yesterday's mess, enjoy motherf*ckers. It's in Spanish, don't mind what I say, just "dah it's spicy, damn, help, bla bla ~".

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

~~ CHALLENGE COMPLETED ~~

It’s been a long and tough way, full of punishments and bad runs, but we made it!, tho it hasn’t gone as good as it could’ve I’m proud of staying true to what I said I’d do and keep my word. Thanks to all who’ve been reading me until now and for cheering me up, I really appreciate it.

However, lets talk about a few topics, so sit down (because you obviously read my blog while standing lol xD) and get yourself comfortable because it’s going to be a long entry. I’ll structure the content in sections starting with a self-made question, weird right? Haha.

~~ Today’s Graph? ~~

First things first, there you go!

~~ We need to know if you’re going to have to shave, where’s the global August’s graph? ~~

Eeeh, is it really necessary?, I don’t like my face :/… however haha, I won’t add the last 3 days I’ve played in 10s (different DB), tho they would increase the cEV by just a little bit I think it’s not relevant for the final result, whatever, I’ll upload a mini-vid shaving about tomorrow or so…

~~ Impressions about the challenge? ~~

At first a lot of stress, I was just starting to organize my schedule in a more strict way, sleeping 8 hours, going for a jog in the morning to wake up, prepare the punishment videos, grind with rests inbetween sessions, a lot of stuff at once, but as the challenge moved on I felt more comfortable with it so all cool.

~~ Are you satisfied with the results? ~~

Yes, in fact I didnt expect that starting this challenge would have had sucha good impact in my dialy life, and in consequence, in my game. I didn’t just have fun, but I notice that I improved my game a lot. It’s not only because of the challenge, but because of it I had to organize myself, and that being a need, not a choice, improved my day overall.

~~ What will you do now that you finished the challenge? ~~

Without doubt, starting a new one, but not just yet, I want the next one to be funnier and more interactive, of course with reasonable goals and trying to bead them seriously, which is the purpose of the challenge, I’ll write about how I want to approach the blog from now on in the next entry.

~~ What news have you brought to us? ~~

Uhh, quite a few, lets start with Abi, my GF and I decided to adopt a kitty and a few days ago we brought her home. Those who follow me on Twitter might have heard of her already, the truth is that she’s a god damn nightmare hahah, I’m JK she’s wonderful, my GF is wonderful as well, and just wanted to point out that I’m not writing this because Alba is pinching my nipples or anything, I just believe so and that’s why I wrote it, period.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5uzUbOrbBY

Also I wanted to talk about something I haven’t talked as much before, but in Spin Legends the students that work the most are rewarded with a private mentor (small group of players supervised by a tutor), the thing is that I was on one of those mentoring groups, but the mentor we had left the program because of private stuff and I was left out without tutor. After a while an angel came down from the skies and reached me out to invite me to his mentoring group. I will not say names just yet but he’s an incredible player and I’m honored to learn under his wing, I won the lotto.

~~ What music do you hear when you grind? ~~

Uuuuh, so you want to know my secret playlist of fire 666 huh?, aight but you have to use it at your own risk, it increases your chances of hitting a royal straight preflop by 69%, and also makes you put stupid punishment options in your polls a 420noscope% more, so take care. The main theme of the playlist is electronic music, but it has a lot of other music styles so check it out!.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...NRg6sQNDjU_TWW

~~ Any final words? ~~

Again thank you guys for the support, even if you don’t always support me publicly, thanks for voting the most f*cked up options in the punishment polls. Bastards.

Stay tuned, I’ll be writting a new entry about the future of the blog soon.

Cheers!

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

Sup' guys!

I'm not dead, but I'm still meditating about how the next challenge is going to be, however I didn't come empty handed, I've got news about who my new mentor is going to be, 100% confirmed, he's a very talented player, top amongst the best students of the school and the whole field in 50s, he's Skon!, you might not know him (probably not) but I'm very lucky to be part of his private study group.

Also I've won an entry to a 50€ buy-in that's gonna be played in just a few hours, wish me luck!.

May the variance be with ME this time, haha.

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

Yo! guys, how you doing?, I know it's been a while since I'm not doing anything relevant related with Poker, but I'm not dead (yet), next monday it's gonna be big, exciting stuff happening early next week.

RELAX MODE

I've been chilling a few days, resting from the previous challenge, next monday I get back to work with a new challenge between hands, I'll tell you more about it soon. About 10s, I tested the level a bit more, I still believe it's doable, good vibes about it, you can see the graph of my sessions so far below.

MENTORING WIHT SKON

Another cool thing it's happening on Monday is that I'll start working with the new study group, very pumped about it. Let's see how far I can get with his help!.

NEW CHALLENGE ON MONDAY

Stay tuned guys, next monday I'll be talking about the new challenge so keep an eye to see what's coming up, I think you're gonna like it :P

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

1. Factors that influence my success:
- Monthly EV
- Dialy volume
- Dialy study (Weekly exams)

2. Factors that infuence my motivation:
- Weekly exams with either punishment or reward (depending on results)
- Challenge final punishment // Challenge final giveaway (depending on results)

3. Objectives of the challenge:
- Move up to 20s in 30 days or less (counting rest days)

4. Structure:

- 30 days challenge, starting on Monday, September 11th, until October 11th (deadline).
- Dialy blog entry with each day's graph showing EV and volume (EV is not relevant to whether I have to be punished that day or not, volume is.
- Weekly blog entry with the results of that week's exam, made and corrected for my mentor.
- Monthly blog entry with the month's graph, proof of the punishment (if I failed) OR winner of the giveaway (if I succeeded), final toughts, and stuff like that.

5. Details:
- I'll point it out again, the dialy EV will NOT trigger any punishment!, only the volume will, and that's not likely.
- Every week I'll be making an exam about an specific subject, which will be related with a position (for example BB HU), I'll have to study and prepare myself because at the end of the week my mentor will examine and evaluate me, and if I fail the exam I'll be punished. To fail the exam I have to fail 3/10 questions. If I pass the exam there will be a reward as well!.
- The final punishment is that I'll have to SHAVE MY HEAD!.
- On the other side, if I succeed, I'll be making a giveaway for all those who read me and cheer me up!.

______

I'll be talking about further details on the run, like what's the prize of my giveaway, the exam's format, the weekly subject (position) to study, and so on.

Well that's all guys, I appreciate any comments and all the support you send me! <3

May the variance be with y'all

Cheers!

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 1

We're back on track guys!, is there a better way to start the challenge than with a yummy breakfast?, probably yes, but it tasted good and is healthy as well!

It is time to man up and be serious about the "get in shape and healthy" thing, too much trash food, and well this is a good start. Tell me in the comments if you want to know more about my weight loss and I'll update how I'm doing now and then.

Well let's get to the point already.

STUDY SUBJECT (11/09 - 17/09)

The study subject of this week is BB HU, I'll take the first exam on September 18th.

TODAY'S GRAPH

Oh I almost forgot, tomorrow I'll be announcing what price I'm going to give away if I succeed and I'll be making a gleam.io giveaway thingy so you can join and maybe get lucky so stay tuned!.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 3

Today's meal was yummy yummy, a good beef tenderloin, I couldn't put any sauce on it, or on the rice, but it was pretty good anyway.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 4

There's a time to eat meat, and there's a time to eat salad, and today was salad day, meh, tasty but meh haha

Spinach salad with cherry tomato, turkey ham (or however it's called in english), and boiled eggs

Well well, today it's been a good day overall, I studied a lot and marked like 30 hands, I don't know if I'm happy of marking a lot of close decissions, or sad because I have too many doubts, haha I guess It's fine as long as I clarify the doubt with my coach afterwards.

Whatever here's the graph, c'ya tomorrow guys!.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 5

Today I wanted to eat something more complex, so I tried to cook something different, and it ended up tasting pretty decent. Now I can do something else than just frying an egg haha.

Sautéed green asparagus, onion, and chicken with boiled potatoes, and an egg xD

About the sessions, I started pretty bad, like -100 cEV first 2 sessions, but then somehow I managed to make an epic comeback to +130 cEV in like 15 games or so... fishing with net haha!

However, after being so full of myself variance punched me in the face to remind me who's the boss and this happened

Yet no matter what, I kept pushing myself, being faithfull, and trusting my skill (hoping for a good run lol haha) and I made another comeback to close the day at over 90 cEV @100 games mark, hell yeah!... I had to replace some study hours for playing hours but I think it was worth it!... we'll see how true that is next monday when I have to take my coach's test, god help me.

TODAY'S GRAPH

OVERALL GRAPH SO FAR

BTW did I mention the giveaway?, I think I didn't. Guys there's a nice prize for the lucky winner that wants to take the chance. It's very simple to join, just a few clicks and you could own a Copag Poker Set valued at $100, just in case you haven't joined yet here's the LINK. BEST OF LUCK!

Well that's all for today.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 6

Delight yourselves with my special dish, white rice with sautéed vegies, I'm a broccoli fan 100%, love the taste.

Rice with sautéed vegies (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Mushrooms and Carrot)

Well, today I had to pull off an epic comeback (AGAIN!). I think this time I had something to do with it, played in auto-pilot the first 2-3 sessions and that combined with an kinda unlucky run messed up my whole day.
When I play focused I hit 12-14 games / hour but when I play in auto-pilot I tend to think less and play faster, resulting in an increase of the games per sesh, and today the first sessions had an average of 16-18 games / hour, so I kinda know that it was like 80% my fault today... Luckily I managed to focus and fix it.

Tomorrow it'll be my first free day off since I started the new challenge and I won't be playing (obviously) haha, however I'll post here talking about a few topics off-poker, such as my weight losing plan (I'm kinda fat so yeah, one of the reasons I'm eating healthy recently), future goals (personal), how I organize those goals (which app I use), etc, so stay tuned!

BINK!

We made a deal at the HU because we both had 100BB+ and over 6 hours of play. We agreed to ICM split and after that shove all hands to raffle the bounty.

I know today was my free day but couldn't help playing a few MTTs before going to sleep. This took 6 hours tho xD.

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

@Nicaindio: Thanks bro!, really appreciate it.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 8

Dinner with my favorite girl it is!, I've never been in this restaurant before but it didn't disappoint at all, could be my top 1 choice to go eat some good meat 10/10.

No, what you see in my plate is not mayonnaise, it's a sugar free yogurth cream, and the jar you see at the right is definitely not beer... about the bread on the left, that's not mine, someone put it there to incriminate me.

Whatever haha, I've taken the test today, and I won't spoil anithing until the vid is up tomorrow, tho if you follow me on Twitter you probably already know the results haha, however, you'll have the vid uploaded on my YTB channel early tomorrow, I'll post the link here when I write tomorrow's entry as well.

About this challenge, I've been thinking about the next one, because I'm probably going to move up to 20s this week, I'm running at 106 cEV in 800 games and that's pretty much enough, so in the following days I might be writing the challenge finish post.
About the next challenge, I don't want to keep focusing in moving up stakes, I think that's eventually gonna happen if I work, and you might be tired of the same thing over and over, so I tought it would be fun to make a bankroll challenge, not just to grow my bankroll, but to do something with the money, like buying a new car, planning a trip to Tomorrowland or Las Vegas, or something like that, you know cling~ cling~ going for the money haha.

Well tell me what you think about this idea in the comments and tell me if you have any better plan for my future challenges.

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 9

Ladies and gentlemen, what looked like an easy run from 10s to 20s has just become hell for me... variance forgives noone, this plus me playing in auto-pilot for the whole day almost screwed my 1K sample graph.

TODAY'S GRAPH

About the test video, I'll be uploading it tomorrow, I promise, I didn't have the time to do it today.

Well then guys, I'm going to sleep now because I'm demolished... wish me luck for the following days because this could be the week when I made it to 20s, or the whek when I almost did it, and I don't like the second option. Don't worry about my "mental status", I'm 100% fine, I know I can beat the level I just need a final push to make it.
Show me your love and support here because I'll need all the energy I can get!

Cheers!

AIMING FOR 20s - DAY 10

Damn I'm starting to feel the pain of the dowswing... I know I know I can't complain, I've runned pretty good first 800 games, I can't cry for just 200 bad games.

I still have 500 more games to go and hit the 1500 games mark, no worries.

Plus I've been lazy this week, and my game is suffering that lazyness, I had very good habits that I'm not continuing with this week, like doing exercise right when I wake up, eat breakfast with eggs on it (instead of just milk with cereals cuz' I'm lazy), do 5 mins exercise between sessions to stay energyzed all day, etc... I have to keep doing this things becase I know it impacts a lot in my game...

Let's go guys, we have to take the hit and keep working!

GRÁFICO DE HOY
