~~ CHALLENGE DAY 17 ~~

Looks like there's still a bit of bad karma going for me and today I couldn't deliver. Fortunately I'm still motivated and feeling good about saving my beard by the end of this month, and of course moving up to 10s!

Well here's the shame-e-h I mean graph, enjoy!

PS: Tomorrow punishment, my GF says that the upper back of the leg hurts like sh*t, we'll see!

~~ CHALLENGE PAUSE ~~

Hi guys, it's been a while since I play nonstop without resting any day and I think I might be burning out, so I'm going to take a break for a few days then continue the challenge where I left it.

When I started this challenge I didn't consider the rest days and that's a bit of a mistake. I need to have a few days off-poker to play at my best level.

Cheers!

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

Hi guys, it's been a while since I started using those damn wax stripes and they're not as effective as before to make me win EV, so I need a new punishment and you can help me decide!

Click on the link below to support me and my EV and choose how to torture me.

Yo!, don't click on me, I'm a virus

You've got an "other" (otro) option as well to suggest me something different.

That's all for now, later I'll upload today's graph.

Cheers!

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

The results of the poll are out!

You're all good people yeah, voting the best option for me, 10/10 -.-

I tought that if I do always the same punishment it could become boring at the 4th or 5th time so I'm mixing the 2 most voted options 60-40, 60% of the time I'll be eating something REALLY spicy, and the other 40% I'll do silly stuff in front of the camera with helium (YAY!)

Well that's all for this entry, I've to keep grinding to pump that EV up!

Cheers!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 20 ~~

Aaaaaaaaaaand we HOLD! yet another day.

Also wanted to mention that this time the punishment is spicyally difficult for me (nice pun lol), I don't really like spicy things, I never did, my tongue is super sensitive to almost everything with some kind of acid (oranges, lemons, pineaple) or spice (mexican, curry) so failing would be /NH, glad I didn't fail today, 11 days to go!

Well that's all guys, here's the graph

Cheers!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 21 ~~

And finally, a good day comes giving me a good damn chunk of money and EV, it feels good when it happens!

As you already know, when I play good (run good xD) PokerStars gives me one of those "NO PUNISHMENT CARDS" that are so unique and exclusive, this cards free me from a punishment when I play under 90 cEV. Sorry guys, no spice for me in a while meheheheh.

Good day as well because I've beaten my EV record in 1 sesh (45min sesh), and that feels rewarding and motivating, tho Mr. EV comes and goes whenever he wants but jesus guys can I enjoy it when he's around? damn it you're such jealous people!

However haha, today's graph looks wonderful and I couldn't feel better about it after a few "meh" days and a very bad ending of the previous week (right after the rest weekend).

Cheers!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 23 ~~

I started pretty solid today, but a few badbeats around the 4th or 5th sesh lowered my focus and level of play, I have to work on that tilt and frustration when it hits.

Anyway, we beaten the day, not for a big margin but meh, enough is enough haha.

Re: Another poker tale: From zero to hero

Hey guys!

Today is my "free day" so I'm pausing the challenge at least once / week to avoid burning out like last week.

Anyway I wanted to post an entry and I tought that would be cool to share something a bit more personal with y'all, and it's what I do between sessions to relax and get my mind away from poker for a while. I haven't taken any lessons or anything, I'm just self taught (obvious lol), so sorry if I offend someone with how I play it or something, I just enjoy playing my favorite classic songs on this wonderful instrument.

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 24 ~~

Yo!

Well today is the last day I play the minimum of 65 games, starting tomorrow I'll be increasing the volume to 80 games which is more or less 2 extra sesions / day. I might play with 3 tables at the beggining of the day when I'm more awake and focused and only 2 tables last 1-2 sesions to avoid playing in auto-pilot.

About today's run, here's the graph.

And speaking of graphs, the monthly one is screwed, the bad run that lasted 2-3 days wrecked my global cEV, going from 85 the first 15 days (1k games~), to 70 by day 17 (1.2k games~), however, now I learned how important is to rest 3 days (or so) every 15 days to keep concentrated, motivated, and play to my highest level.

However, tho my monthly graph is doomed, and I'll have to shave like 90% sure, my last week's graph looks strong and I might move up to 10s soon, let's stay strong and f*cking do it already!

That's all for today, may the variance be with y'all.

Cheers!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 25 ~~

Sup' guys!

The time has come, I'll have to be punished, after a few days unbeaten the EV + the pressure of playing 3 tables at once made me fail. I'll go back down to 2 tables tomorrow until I feel more comfortable, I don't want to risk my EV and moving up to 10s for saving some play time.

However, here's the graph, enjoy!. I'll upload the spicy punishment tomorrow!

Cheers!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 26 ~~

Hey!

Good and bad news guys. The bad news are that I didn't have time to make the spicy video and upload it, playing 2 tables and hitting 80 games is really screwing my schedule, very time consuming. I promise I'll have it by tomorrow without fail!.

The good news are that today I've beaten the mark!, I guess it's good news just for me since you're all bad people and want to see me suffer hahah.

Well here's the graph.

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 27 ~~

Holding to the mark again, we made it yet another day, and now I want to make it everyday so bad due to the god damn spicy punishment that I can't even concentrate when playing just thinking about how painfull it will be if I ever fail.

However, we survive today and we'll worry about tomorrow when it comes to it.

Here's the graph!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 28 ~~

HELL YEAH!, we comeback from "nah, I'm not gonna make it" to "F*ck yeah I did it"... Now everyday is a fight between life and death, on the edge of dying after every sesh, I'm happy that I'm keeping it up despite increasing the volume, it could seem easy to handle but just 15 games more, which is more or less just 1 more session it's flexing my endurance muscles to the limit.

Well here's today's graph, now I can finally go to sleep, I'm exhausted!

Aw yeah I almost forgot, here's a short vid of a piano song I've been practicing, tell me if you can recognize where the song is from :')

*** GOAL ACCOMPLISHED ***

What a way to start the weekend, I've made it, I've finally made it to 10s, the sweat, the blood, the effort, it was all worth it, feels god damn good to strike a goal off the main list... hell yeah, let's keep working because it will get tougher from now on!

Quote:
GOALS (Chronologically)
Move up to 10s (€)
Right now I'm playing 5s, by the end of this month I want to be playing at 10s.
*DONE!
Move up to 20s (€)
And crush the level, I expect to make it to 20s by September, and crush it by October or so, hopefully.
Move up to 15s ($) at the .com domain and crush it
I hope to make it before christmas.
Move up to 30s ($) at the .com domain and crush it
It's a long shot, but if I could make it by early next year I'd be happy AF.
Here's the graph of the last few days (1k spins) and the main graph from 5s.

~~ CHALLENGE CHANGES ~~

Due to my recent success, I'll have to make some changes in the current challenge variables to make it fair, despite just being 3 days away from finishing it, the reasons are:

1. The 10s field is a bit tougher, the regs that play there are on average better and I'll need a period of adaptation of a few weeks, the current challenge is on the adaptation period, so I'll be lowering the cEV mark from 90 to 80, I think it's fair considering that I'm a fish.

2. Due to the tougher field, I'll need to change the relationship between hours of play and time of study, which is the same than saying that I'll need to study more, therefore I won't be able to play as much. I'll be decreasing the ammount of dialy games from 80 back to 65.

That's all!

Cheers!

After my rest day this week it's time to continue with the challenge and finish the last 3 days, hopefully over 80 cEV!

Let's go!

~~ CHALLENGE DAY 29 ~~

Demolishing, that's how I'd describe my first challenge day on 10s. Day full of coolers and bad beats that made me think about moving back down to 5s (JK LOL).

My first impressions about the level, at first glance, are that the field is rougher, average fishes fold way less to cbets and barrels, stealing pots is harder, which is where big part of my EV came from. Now it's time to work super hard on the later streets.

Despite today's graph, I feel good about the level, there're a ton of fishes and they still do stupid things, so with a bit more of study I'll be crushing 10s soon.

I've tought about starting a new challenge as soon as I finish this one, this time involving more things aside from EV and volume, maybe I'll find a different way to add variance to the challenge so I can somehow lose it, I'll think about it.

About the spicy punishment, damn it you're so annoying guys, It's fine I'll do it tomorrow!, stop pushing me!

Haha, whatever here's today's graph and a few hands that resume the main theme of the sesions today.

There're a few coolers, obviously I made some mistakes, that's for sure, but most of the first 50ish games had hands like the ones below.

And just in case that you think that I'm just picking hands from other days to trick you or something here's a pic showing dates.

Well that's all, cheers!
