I played a little bit during the day and to be honest I can't tell the difference in players between playing at noon on Wednesday or Friday and Saturday nights

Plenty of bad play to go around at all times

Fwiw i was listening to a pro on a podcast the other day and he was talking about how the vegas games arent as good as they used to be. Casinos are everywhere and there are now good games all over the country. U dont have to just go to vegas anymore to gamble

In the afternoon The other day a player limped jj. Got 5 callers and was shocked when he got allin on the flop and was behind. Well duh what do u expect??

I dont know about u guys but when i play w crazy/bad players it can often b hi crazy variance. I call more trying to bust em and can make mistakes.

Now im not sayin crazy players r bad, but maybe i just need to get better at playing w them

Sometimes maybe its easier to just play a bad reg.

Bec of this thread I tried the 2-3-300 for a few hours today and was bored out of my skull. It only costs $5/orbit in blinds and the pots in my game were very small for the most part. I will give it a few more tries but, for the life of me, I don't see why it's popular. I understand the excitement of winning a huge hand but how often do they come up? Maybe I'll come back w/ a more appreciative of the game post if I hit it big but I'm going to need a caffeine drip just to stay awake.

ETA: A new post by you or a reply from a reader DOES bump the thread to the top but this is a busy forum and mildly active threads get on the later pages pretty fast.

But yeah it is alot of folding, but i personally dont go all hoodie and headphones. Try to focus and pay attention to every hand and put players on a hand. C what there limping and what there raising. Try to figure out whos the best and whos the worst.

And always pay attentiin to stack sizes. People call 20 dillar razes, when the villian only has 100 behind. Just cant do that

It seems like about 1 time an hour. U flop a set, get aces or turn a flush or u bluff the river and ur heart starts pumping

Anyhow, having a job and a family i dont get to play near enough poker.

But awhile back i told the kiddos if i got to 2000 (10 buyins) bux that i would take em to dinner and toys r us.

Well tonight i cashed out and my br is currently at 1985 and thats close enough.

The kiddos are so excited and so is my wife.

Im averaging 38 dollars an hour at 2/3 and 1/2. Im waiting to get smacked back to reality but it hasnt happened yet. But i know it will. 20 bux an hr at 1/2 is good so im due for a reality check

With that being said, ive gotten lucky in some spots but i dont think u can grind from 0 to 2000 without having a pretty good idea what ur doing. Even as inexperienced as i am playing live im usually the best player at the table.

Im very patient and disciplined. Im playing boring abc poker. value towning and people keep paying me off.

I rarely limp, usually raise or fold and people dont pay attention to stack sizes. So many of the players are just awful. Fn online was so aggro. Nobody 3 bets light in live cash games.

When building a br from scratch, hitting 10 buyins was a major milestone

We'll I'm quite certain I'm goona run this up without going broke.

My bankroll is now upto 2,315 bux and the players are so bad that if I lost it all back I'd prolly b so crushed I'd never play again. So anyway, I'm at almost 12 buyins so I'm getting there

The problem is I just don't have 30-40 hrs a week to grind

In fact I'm only upto 65 total hours. I am averaging 38 bux an hour. Lol

Still shocks me how bad some of these live idiots are. I know it's only 1/2 but still

Well im still doing quite well. Im just short of 100 hrs and ive ran my br to over 3200 bux.

Im averaging 34 bux an hr, but still a very small sample size. I imagine it will drop

The villians are usually awful. Not bragging but im almost always the best player at the table. (But thats not sayin much)

Well i finally got over 100 hrs a couple weeks ago. Im just goona have to be patient. The reality is im only able to play about 10 hrs per week right now.

I had my most crushing day last week. I lost 500 bux. 2.5 buyins i know its not the end of the world but it still sux. I got aces cracked twice in the same night. Ugggh

Now im down to 26 dollars per hr

Ill post later when i can get more hrs in. Right now its too early. But having been a winner online, building a bankroll from scratch and simply sitting down and seeing everybodies bad play, i have no doubt that ill beat the lower levels for at least a decent hrly
