Lets call me Mr All In Mindset(AIM), I am living in sunny asia and spent most of my time in macau as a pro playing up to 200/400 HKD. Took 2017 off and now i am back. However, this time i am gonna focus on china poker apps mainly.

2017 Recap

Took a year off for random business ventures which all failed eventually. Did have a revelation about life. So i have made enough money to be financially secured for the next 5-10years. But what is a deeper meaning? To do business for a better future and better image socially? Or ultimately it is just up to oneself to have the "****you" money and be financially secured for retirement?

I think that all the fancy businesses are just for a facade because if you truly want it you will make it happen. Thus i chose poker because i am lazy in general and i think that i can make to the "****you" money status given all my successes through the years playing poker.

Grinded a short session today as i spent like 2hrs in the gym and had pretty bad sleep.

Just for brags: Macau is pretty much dead nowadays. the last time when i was there was late 2016. for the 100/200 hkd tables about 12/24 usd stakes, its like a camp festival. so it will be like 8 regs sitting with 1 empty seat that will wait for 1 VIP to come and play.

So the regs have to battle till a "fish" comes along. So i sat there and waiting it out and battling the regs. for like two hours. So finally someone came and sat, some old dude dude with decent dressing.

Now comes the joke, hes like super nit. worse ever. this is what is always happening in macau. regs battling for hours on end waiting for a fish to comes.

good thing when the true big fish comes. they have the ability to drop like 100-200k. other than that its a regfest and regwar.

So I like to hear stories about the "infamous" live scene there. I have also heard it has dried up, and the glory days are gone. Would like to know more about games and stories there. Are the regs mostly westerners? Europe, americans or what? thanks and good luck

No i am just travelling in thailand. I stay in southeast asia though!

"infamous" live scene? to be frank the games at 25/50 hkd are really tight passive. it is really not worth playing those games and the waitlist is insane for those usually and the price of poker is increasing the pokerrooms mainly only want to open tables of 50/100 or higher

most of the regs are pretty tight passive tbh with a good mix of tourists from time to time mainly at 50/100. this is my bread and butter mostly. because the regs are on the weaker side and most of the recreational china man or westerners tourists play this game. most affordable i guess

for games that are 100/200 and higher, its usually a regfest 8 regs sitting with 1 empty seat waiting for fish. some of this western regs are prodigy so they would just battle non stop since they play higher stakes usually but sometimes there isnt a bigger game running. this fish will be determined by the staff managing the poker room. so the fish will have instant seat without needing to wait. but i would say more than half the times, the fish isnt so bad anymore. tho from time to time theres fish that drops more than 5-10buyin in 1 game at 100/200. it is pretty much the same for 200/400 n 300/600 or higher. though i only palyed 200/400 at my peak.

for the 200/400 game that i played, there was an indian business guy who dropped close to 400k. 1 reg ended up winning close to 300k. kinda brutal to see him keep scooping


i guess theres lots of westerners nowdays, i guess 60% asian regs and 40% westerners. its pretty even.
