I've seen this a lot over the years, people putting in WAAAY too much volume without having great fundamentals.

My advice would be to 2 table zoom for a couple of weeks, sitout frequently to review hands, watch more videos, study more etc...

If you double your winrate and play 1/2 the volume you will be making the same amount that month but then be making more in the future when your game is sharper and you can re-ramp your volume.

I can't agree more with you man, I watched a video now of a friend of mine who is crushing 25z to see how he approaches this stake and it's completely different from what I'm doing. He is way more on the exploitive site while I try to somehow figure out what pio does and obviously fail horribly with that. So I will just adjust my strategy towards exploitative and collect all these small pots that I usually let slide. First session with that style went pretty well

Gonna try to keep that style up and never let my focus slide because it really requires my full attention even though I'm playing only 2 tables. Hopefully I won't start bleeding redline again. Obviously I have to figure out when to punt it in and when not to, but that will come with experience

Grunching the whole thread, I just read that you're from Germany and all I could think about is, what's the deal with all the 'scheizer' videos? That's about all I know about Germany.

Anyway good luck going pro. I recommend getting some other more satisfying line of work. Poker sucks buddy. But don't listen to me, I'm just bad at poker and have late onset Down Syndrome.

Google translator won't tell me what "Grunching" means but I just guess that you've read the whole thread and therefore I appreciate it a lot that you took the time to do that. Don't know what you mean by "scheizer" videos but you probably mean "scheiße" which is probably the most famous german word there is . Thanks for wishing me luck to go pro. And yeah I know that it can suck to run bad and not having the feeling to accomplishing something, but for me it's pure joy to just trust the process and show up every day and knowing that eventually I'll make it if I don't quit. I partly agree with "poker sucks". Poker can crush souls, I think we can all agree with that but it can be very rewarding too. Anyway, thanks for reading man

I think we can call it a month at this point and I want to take a look back and see what my results/progress has been so far, starting with march:

Had the time to just grind out some volume and see where I'm at and it was pretty obvious where I was at. Breakeven/slightly losing. Redline far under -10bb/100 and that result and realisation that I was too bad for 25z had me feeling a bit motivated but I grinded it out in the lab.
April:

Got rid of some leaks that I wasn't aware of and started talking more to other regulars and had some pretty helpful insights in their game and what exploits they are using. Started a bit more with studying PIO and RIO, also got snowie as another studying tool. Results weren't satisfying but at least I saw light at the end of the tunel and my redline was a bit better than -10bb/100 which was another accomplishment for me.
May:

This month felt like I pushed through 25z and I finally know how to win at these games (obviously i'm not delusional and I take into consideration that I still might be a losing player there because maybe I just ran well). But we will see next month when I got more time to grind volume and see if I really am a winning player in this game.

Gonna update again when next month starts and see what are reasonable goals that I can accomplish. Thanks for reading guys and have a nice day

This month we will up the pace because now I actually got more time to 100% focus on that thing:

We started the month with a little 50z shot and I was suprised that there wasn't a real difference compared to 25z. Those guys have some other strategies developed for example do they x/r more as preflop aggressor IMO. I guess over time I could adapt to stuff like that and I definitely felt my inability to pull off big bluffs or do big calldowns which hurt my EV. Anyways, shot failed so back to 25z we go.

For this month I got some goals prepared and I wanna see if I can accomplish them and hopefully they help me with my progress in poker. I actually got a pretty detailed plan on how my day should look like. I usually struggle with strict plans when there is nobody controlling if i stick to them, but I guess I just have to do it and push myself as hard as I can. Otherwise I'll probabaly won't make it as a pro. So here are the goals/tasks

[ ] 2 RIO videos right after breakfast and make Notes per day
[ ] sticking to presession routine: 2h piosolver, meditation, taking a walk outside in the forrest
[ ] Shower cold, I did this occasionally and I've heard it helps to develop discipline (which I'm lacking) so lets give it a try
[ ] 1h of preflop handrange study per day
[ ] reviewing the session by the end of the day and analyse mistakes/leaks with snowie and pio and also I want to make notes while playing for post session review
[ ] maintain my sleep schedule (very important, otherwise my whole structure crumbles)
[ ] Have a big big fat breakfast in the morning (because Jordan Peterson said so and who am I to doubt him)
[ ]Workout 3 times a week with like 30min cardio and some simple weight lifting

Will post on Sunday again and tell you guys if I stick to that insane plan or if I once again couldn't stick to it. Have a wonderful week guys and GLGL at the tables
