For 2 months live poker was gone, so I played some online games MTTs and some cash, but its just not the same. So I am really happy, that my local card room is organising once a week, 1/2 NL Holdem game. I hope that soon restrictions will be much better and casinos will be allowed to work properly.

I am not profesional player, but I take poker seriously and Im not going to the casino to lose the money. So since January 1, I am monitoring my results, and I am writing them down in my book. Until corona crisis (beginning of march) I played 17 sessions what was 65 hours at the table. I know that is not a lot, but I also have a full time job (40 hours a week) and a family. I started the year with 700 euro bankroll, I busted it all and then lost more 560 euros. So that means until corona I was stuck 1260 euros.

Since two weeks, my local card room is organising the game again, I have played 2 sessions, 12 hours in total what brought me 1350 euros. So this year I am 90 euros up. So I hope this thread will push me in right direction, I will keep updating my results here as well.

Tonight I have 3rd session after Corona break, I am supper excited to keep pushing, but first I have to work 8 hours at my work and then at 8pm Im leaving for the event.

I was writing this yesterday until I realised I am about to be late for work, so I left this open on my computer and headed to the work. Now it its already tuesdays morning and session already happened. It went pretty bad already from the beginning. I buy in for 100 euros.

Very first hand:I got dealt QsQc and my position is MP2. And it is double straddled pot.
UTG2 calls 8e, MP1 folds, So I rise to 40e. Cutoff calls (he's really tight player, session before I saw him folding KK preflop where he was facing 500euro jam) then everybody folds until the guy who straddled he calls (very loose player, half drunk)

FLOP- AcKc4h I was like: *** my life
Lose goose checks, I check, Tight ass raises to 50
Lose goose calls, I am screwed from all ways so I fold.

I can't remember exactly turn and river cards but they weren't important, tight player put lose goose all in and he called. Show down was AcJc for the tight player and Ah5c for the lose player.

Further the session I bought 2 more times for 100 euros and busted them too. I was playing pretty tight, just couldn't realise my good hands. Later I had one more hand with the Loose goose. Where he open raised 15e I put him all in 110e. Action folded to him, where he was like aaaah what ever and calls. I had AckH he had 4s6h FLOP- 4d5s7s Turn- 10c River-Jc
After this hand I said: seat open.

Overall: My bankroll shrank to 760 euros and Iam 210 euros down this year.

p.s. I know that my hand is bit difficult to read, I will try to improve it in future.

Since this is a poker goal and challenge thread I'm going to set my poker goals for rest of the year. My time for poker is very limited, so I will set up realistic goals.

1. 5000 € live earnings (current situation -210 €)
2. Online MTT- bring this graph back to 0.

3. Start NL2 with 50$ bankroll (25 buy ins) and reach NL50 (25 buy ins) 1250$

4. Update my blog regularly.

5. Last but not least improve my game on daily basis 1 hour a day.

Last weekends grind didn't go as planed and I got sucked out with QQ and KK (set on flop) against bad players. I am not myself a very good but I have a guidelines and I stick to them. However after the session I had no will to write something, because I busted two 100bb buyins what was massive for my bankroll. So at the end it was -400 euro for the night.

-610 euros this year
Bankroll situation 360 euro

Anyway I went yesterday to the casino with my rest 360 euros and bought in for 200e and added 80e after couple hands. The session went up and down, but I managed to win 500e

Hand of the night:

Hand wich I was waiting for a while, because one player was giving money away easily. He was slightly drunk and played every hand.

Live straddle pot.
Hero raise(500e) 25e QdQs UTG1. drunk guy calls(400e) in MP1 . Everybody folds.

Flop: 10cKs8h. Im not happy to see King, but I was pretty sure he's playing with air anyway, but since he did some stunt moves before with air, I wanted to check call.

Turn: Qc. I am like, ok its time. I bet 55 e he snap calls.

River Kh I make it to 90e, most of the time he would just call with pair of tens or even eights. After 30 seconds he announced ALL IN. I snap call, and he asks dealer if it is no a showdown. Dealer confirms and he turns around Qh2h

After looking in to my book: this month after five Mondays, I have played 28 hours and made 1150 euros. I'm happy that I bounced back what I lost before the break.
but overall this year I'm -110 euros far far away from the goal (5000€)

I had terrible session after my last post almost two weeks ago. I played not very well but because of soft game I managed to lose only 70 euros. Overall 2020 situation was -180 euros.

Much better I did last monday, where I managed to make 600 euro profit. After that my yearly situation is much better +290 euros (5000e is the goal) still very far way, but atleast Im out of minuses.

Hand of the night:

Double straddle pot. I am on the blind.

LoJ calls, HiJ folds, Cutoff Calls, I raise to 37€ (Ac10d) SB folds, BB folds, UTG1 folds,
LoJ folds, HiJ Calls, Cutoff folds.

Action goes heads up, the player I am playing against is pretty lose, and is playing a lot of hands. I have 500e starting the hand, Villain got abit less then 380e

Flop: KsQs8d Flop was pretty much in favour of him, because he could have all of combinations KQ;KJ;K10; even QJ;Q10 where I could never get him away with a c bet.

Villain checks, Iam thinking about c-bet, but I certain that he's not going away I check back.

Turn: Jh

Villain bets 33, I think abit and knowing his patterns, I reraise to 133. Villain calls pretty fast.
River 3c. Guy checks immediately. I do some Hollywood and after 30 seconds announce ALL IN, guy was very upset but I know him that he's not going his king away. (If he has it)

He thinks abit and calls. I show immediately my hand, and he's not happy at all. He shows king of diamonds and the other card keeps mucked. Dealer turns the showed card back around. And one player says that he saw the other card too and everyone should see it as well. He says its king of diamonds (obviously he wasn't paying attention and thought that nobody have seen it) and dealer didn't know which card he showed so he shows other card which was 10 of clubs. The guy was like ohh crap, sorry man I meant the King LOL

My current grinding situation is pretty difficult, because of my work. So right now I am playing after work on Mondays. But I make sure that I put 7-8 hours as minimum. We start at 19:00 so I am done around 3:00 am. I go home sleep 2 hours and go to work, where I start at 6:00 am. I hope that casinos are going to be opened soon that I can play also on weekends.

I built my basic strategy from pokerstrategy, then I am reading books (last book I read was Dusty Schmit- Treat your poker like a business). The book put me on the right way. I also watch videos, my favourite is crushlivepoker with Bart Hanson, he's analysing hands and talking about interesting topics. Currently I am considering to buy upswing or raise youredge membership to bring my game in next level.

So last Mondays evening was pretty weird, overall I didn't play very good. I started with 100BB stack, (200euros) like in 20 mins after I join the game I get delt JdJc,(my stack 230euros) I open from UTG+2 12euros, everybody folds until guy in Cutoff position he 3bets me 33 euros. Folds until me, I take some time to decide if I should call or 4 bet ar push. Considering previous action I decide to push all in. He's thinking and being not very happy calls (214euros) I show immediately my hand he mucks until river.
Flop: Qs9s7d
Turn: 6d
River: 8s
He turns around Jc10h. I am like are you *** serious, and I tell my self ok just another bad beat, I can handle it. And I buy in for 300euros.
Next two hours happens almost nothing until I get debt JcJs (My stack 250euros) I open in early position again 12euros. MP1(150euros stack) and MP2 (500euros stack) Calls.
Flop: 2h3s6h I c-bet 21euro, MP1 folds MP2 re-reise to 52euro. I push all in, I put guy on flush draw, what was wrong. MP2 turns around 6c6s. No help for my jigidies and second buy in is gone.

Then I bought in for 200 euros and got dealt imedeatly 9h9d. It was double stradeled pot, and I im UTG+2 rise it to 32 euros, Button and BB calls.
Flop: Jh6d4s everybody checks
Turn: 3s BB checks, I check, Button rises to 74euros, Folds to me, (I put him on open-ended straight draw with 5 in his hands, he has done that before) So I push all in.
River: 6c I show my hand and he mucks. So my stack after this hand is around 450eur

with in next hour I managed to move up to comfortable 1300 euros. (I will be honest, I can't remember the hands)

But this particular hand I remember very well because I got dealt JdJh again in UTG+1 (1300euro stack) and its straddled pot, I make it to 18euros, MP1 Calls MP2 Calls 500euros stack) Button Calls (1100euros stack) and BB Calls(300euros). I didn't like that at all already at beginning but there we go.

Flop:9d8d2c I fire 52 euros folds to MP2 and he rises to 172 euros (that's the same guy I played 99 hand and couple after so he was on max tilt) Then suddenly Button Calls, he's very experienced reg, I didn't like that at all, I will be honest and I can say honestly that he has a edge over me. Folds to me, I reconsider if I want to be in this hand, and I come to conclusion to call.

Turn:Qc Im not a fan, because Buttons range improves with this card. I check,MP2rises to 120 euros Button rises to 350
Im thinking, and going here and there what he could have. I still had 950 euros stack so I fold. MP2 calls that's his all in.

River:10d Button shows 2s2h Mp mucks.

Looking back at this hand: what do you think about my turn play, should have I called ?
After this hand I didn't play very well and I lost some pots and ended my 10 hour session with -220. It was a quit rollercoaster. From -500 to +800 and then down again.

My yearly challenge, which goal is +5000 euros currently is in difficult situation, its almost 75% of year gone, and I am only 60 euros up. But I still have some time to realize it. Maybe if its gonna be clear that I can't make it at 1/2 game I will try some hits at 5/10 or 10/25 game in Chech republic. The biggest card room in Europe (Kings Casino) is only 3 hour drive from my home. However it is Monday and you know what time it is. But first I have to go to work cause vacation is over.
