I'm interested in hearing more about this bet. $15k at $2/5 is one hell of a month. If he was grinding 60 hrs/week (240 hrs/month), he would need to be beating the game at $62.50/hour. Basically, the guy's a machine.

I do have a few interesting hands but still don't know how to manually write HH in the forum. If anyone could help with this it would be much appreciated! As for the bet, it isn't a significant amount of money but it does still serve the motivational purpose I was looking for.

And thank you! Maybe I am being a bit greedy in saying I'm upset with how last month went... Things could be a lot worse.

As far as the value MTT goes... I took a look at the tourneys in June in the Baltimore area. What do you think about the Live 500? I know the buy-in may be a little higher than what you'd like, but (1) it has a $50K guarantee, and (2) they are running a bunch of $80 satellites.

https://www.marylandlivecasino.com/a...e-500-June.pdf

There are obviously some decent MTTs on WPN and Bovada this month, but I assumed you were referring to a live MTT.

I tried getting sharemypair DLed on my phone but I have no memory left... I may run and get another SD card soon. As far as MTTs, I was referring to live tourneys but is there a couple series going on online atm? I haven't logged on to Bovada or BCP for a few weeks...

As for the Live! 500, it's a bounty and I feel like with the money taken out of the prizepool it isn't worth the time. For some reason, MDL has a love affair with bounty tournaments. Every one of their series is ~80% bounty MTTs...

More on the bet:

It's only a $500 bet. Guy I'm betting against actually had a 17k month and was running at $96.00/hr but that included all stakes up to 5/T as well as PLO up to 5/5. This bet is 100% Holdem up to 2/5. They guy has another job and doesn't play full time but is obv very competent. We have very different playing styles so it's up in the air now as to who is the favorite.

Got to Horseshoe Baltimore about an hour ago. Came here tn bc of a promo that I assumed would bring more players. There are still only two 2/5 games running but the action looks promising atm. Will update later!

There aren't any online series going on this month, unfortunately. I guess they knew better with the WSOP going on. A typical online Sunday, atm, looks a little something like this:

ACR/BCP/True
$200 $115K GTD - Sunday Special
$200 $50K GTD ($100K on the 2nd Sunday of the month)
$22 $25K GTD
$109 $25K GTD

Bovada
$162 $100K GTD
$215 $50K GTD
$55 $30K GTD

If you don't feel like playing live on a Sunday, or you're out-of-town, then you could do a Sunday grind, but I just think you'd be better off playing a live MTT. I wanted to mention to you that WPN added a $100 + $9 R/A WSOP Main Event satellite on Wednesday nights. If you wanted to take a shot at a ME satellite (like we've talked about before), this is your best bet. Compared to the $55 Beast satellites they run on Sundays that get 600 runners, you have a much higher shot at winning a ME package.

I saw that about the bounty. Sometimes you just gotta roll with it. Fortunately they are putting a decent guarantee on the tournament, so you could have a decent return on your investment.

I've been seeing Twitter posts and what not with people using ShareMyPair -- seems to work well/efficiently.

Whats up guys! Figured it was time for a decent update! Things have been going great this month poker wise and life wise. I did hurt my back and haven't been able to go to the gym but other than that, no complaints.

Sessions this month have been pretty eventful and I also just have my biggest session ever! I've been experimenting with opening my game up recently. I know this will come with bigger swings but I have been carefully choosing which tables will allow me to run them over. If I'm at a tight/loose passive table, there's no telling what hands I'm opening with. I just believe that players are x/f and folding to double barrels way too often and I've been looking for spots to take advantage of that!

Sessions this month so far:

*61 hours*
+$545
+267
-$60
-$485
-$1540
+3505
+250
+285
+930
+990
(All sessions are 2/5 and were at MDL except for the +3505, which was at Horseshoe)

After finishing off the first week of the month I was up by 2k on my profit bet. Just an example of the guys play... He was up 4.2k after the first 2 days of the month and finished 1st week +700. He's really good but has a swingy style. Still early in the month but I'm getting a lot of hours in and have been for the most part playing solid.

Promised an update, so here goes nothing!

First off, this month has so far has probably been the swingiest since I turned "pro". I think this was due to me trying to open up my ranges a bit. I was ISOing lighter, squeezing way lighter, etc. I think being able to adjust this way in certain situations can be more profitable but I've come to realize that playing a solid TAG style suits me best at my current stakes. With that said, I've still been looking for spots to take advantage of weak plays. I've been more involved at the table after folding which has helped improve my game a ton. For the most part, I no longer text or surf social media while at the table.

The profit bet is going ok. After week 3, I was ahead by nearly 2 BIs. Obviously it's not a big lead at all but I've locked up a couple decent wins since so I believe I'm still ahead atm. Next month we have talked about maybe a team profit bet which should be fun. These kinds of things (especially profit bets) are not very smart in the short term but it brings back the competitive nature I had when I was playing sports so it helps to keep me motivated.

As far as my fitness goals, I've done decent. I was finally able to get back in the gym since hurting my back and have been pushing myself pretty hard. Still trying to get my diet in order which is normally the toughest part of it for me. More on this later...

Plans for next month:

My current lease is up at the end of July so I'll be looking for a new place closer to Live! with my roommate in the next week or two. Really excited to get out of Baltimore, I really can't stand it here... Poker wise, I'm debating on going to Cherokee, NC for the WSOPc National Championship July 23nd-Aug 3rd! I'm going home to visit NC for the first couple weeks of August so it makes since to make the trip. I have already found a place on Airbnb that looks promising so pretty sure those are my plans for the end of the month. Until then, Live! is running a pretty sick promo next month which should bring in tons of action! Goal is to play atleast 140 hours from the 1st to the 23rd before I leave for Cherokee!

Hand histories!!!!

I'm hoping this format works. Going to attempt using ShareMyPair links for HH. Please lmk if you like this format or not, thanks!

(6 on flop was a club, error in the video, pfr is a semi competent reg who never has a 5 after opening pre and calling two streets behind me. Player in between us is a fish and before he calls 125 otr, he legitimately complained about the river card. Pretty easy raise, imo. Obv my 7 is no good here)

Btw, I have also been playing a little online cash at Bovada. Just playing 100nl 6max but should provide some decent hands to review! Most likely will try getting in 10 hours/week of online cash and will play a little more while home on vacation! Well until next time, good luck at the tables!

Will be providing a June review in the next couple days. Won the prop bet and it turned out to be a great month! Currently apartment hunting and was wondering if any other pros have had issues with proof of income when applying? This is my first year as a full time pro and am running into issues with this. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Congrats on a big month, and winning your prop bet. Not a full time player, but there is some discussion of providing proof of income for leases in the "True Life: I am a professional poker player" thread over in LLSNL.

A few months of rent up front or bank statements can be persuasive.

Thanks a lot bro and appreciate the thread reference! Just decided it made sense to just move in with the girlfriend so that's the plan!

Whats up guys! First off, I realize I've been slacking here but I'm proud of myself for keeping it going this long. I'm going to attempt on being more consistent with my updates in the future. Poker wise, this month has been very lazy. I've had other things on my mind and haven't really felt like playing much. Now that I've decided where I'm moving, I'm sure the rest of the month will be a little smoother.

The direction of this update is mainly to give a half year update to show where I finished after the first 6 months of 2015. I also want to outline my goals for the next 6 months! I have very little hours below 2/5 so I didn't feel that I should provide separate data for those games. I just complied total hours, locations, and my monthly profits as a whole. Here we go!

Total Hours:

Maryland Live (1/2-2/5 NL, and 2/2 PLO):

Horseshoe (1/3-2/5 NL):

Month to Month:

***Those are my stats for the first half of the year. Note that I didn't move to MD until the 2nd week of February and also took 2 weeks off in April to visit NC***

I'm really excited for the last half of the year and I'm setting some lofty goals for myself! First off, I plan on taking some of @JMiclett advice and plan to play a few tournaments. This is starting tomorrow. I'm leaving today to play the 500k at the Borgata Summer Open. I received 4 consecutive comped nights at the Harrahs in AC so it makes sense. I'll also be playing the 100k gtd at horseshoe this month, and an event or two at each of the following; WSOPc stop at Horseshoe Baltimore at the end of August, PPC at MDL end of August, and WPT at MDL end of September. I'll update more when I decide on what specific events I'll be playing. As far as cash games. I'll be sticking to the usual 2/5 games. I really plan to put myself into the position to be playing 5/T by years end. I have a pretty low overhead atm and there's not reason this shouldn't work out. I really need to do a better job at limiting my day to day expenses.

I've always been pretty family oriented so I do try to make frequent trips home to visit. With that said, the plan is to visit first 2 weeks of August, a weekend in September for the bros bday, and possible Thanksgiving and/or Chirstmas (probably decide to see my family for one and the GFs family for one). Other than those dates, it's GRIND TIME BABY! My fitness goals are somewhat coming together. I moved here in February weighing in at 274 lbs. I'm currently around 258 lbs. My effort has been sub par at best so I really need to focus more on this over the next few months!

I realize that I'm not the greatest writer in the world and most of my posts are kind of all over the place but I hope they are somewhat tolerable. Gonna get to the gym and hang out with the girl for a couple hours before heading up to AC! Btw, twitter is (cenos90_) if anyone would like for follow me for tourney updates! Thanks for reading!
