Is the DREAM still alive?
Many attempts has happen lately with no success.. Is there anyone who can do this correctly? I love Doug Polk, but he made pretty questionable decisions BRM vise hes way through to $10k. Many congrats to him, he is a beast.

HERO: Akseli Hosia, hailing from Turku, Finland. 24 years- live to win.

I have been a gambler since getting to know the first slot machines in cruise ships back in early 2000's. Found poker very early also with no hard commitment at all to it before I turned 18. Worked as a croupier after turning 18 had no problem at all donating my salary to online sharks as a poker lesson. After a few years I started to know a little bit what I was doing and started to have some minor success only to blast my bank roll away in the higher stakes.

Last 3 years has been a hell of a ride. Up and Down. Too long story for it to write here, but quit my job to just to play and in the end decided that had enough of the 'poker only' lifestyle and go to school. Found school extremely boring to me (business logistics), I decided to move to Malta for iGaming.

The reason to start the challenge is to finally do it once in the correct way; from the scratch with bank roll management. I am currently 24, so I think it is my last days I have energy to start something like this with my history of Poker. I have never written any types of blogs and of course want to share my joy and pain with all the poker lovers here.

PLAN AND GOAL

The plan I have structured in the last days whilst playing is the following. 4x tables all the time.

LEVEL 1, 100-200 4x plo2.

LEVEL 2, 200-300 2x plo2 and plo5

300-600 4x plo5

LEVEL3, 600-800 2x plo5 and plo10

800-1500 4x plo10

LEVEL 4, 1500-2000 2x plo10 and plo25

2000-3500 4x plo25

LEVEL 5, 3500-4500 2x plo25 and plo50

4500-10k$ 4x plo50.

Downgrading back to the previous stakes occurs if whilst shot taking I drop 8-10 buy-ins of the new level from the start of shot bank roll for the next level. In shot-taking level I am going to Run It Twice and play more cautious to not to drop immediately back.

The goal for this is the following:

To learn more in depth Omaha and really crush the micro stakes by adjusting play styles in each level against different opponents. I feel like I have a ton to learn, especially how to not go full ape **** of punting my stack. My goal is finish this before I turn 25 (25th of March), but would absolutely love if I manage to pull this off this year.

I plan to play 40- 50 hours each week and write couple of times a week here of my progress (and huge punts). I have already played one week and have suffered from the absolute madness that PokerStars can offer in the lowest stakes possible. I have plenty of 1000bb pots that will share later (sadly lost most of them). I managed to get to shot at plo5 very early, but came back very fast to PLO2 again! Here is the graph.

Till next time!

Time for a little update, sick grinds weekend! Had insane motivation to make this happen for some reason, felt happy and pumped all weekend! Thanks guys!

Time to conclude day 10 with a little summary:

BANKROLL: $339 rakeback included. Have received $18 in rakebacks, raked $249 in total. Stars is a bigger winner at the moment god damit!
Please PLO GODS, no more plo2, I played 51400 hands there and do NOT want to go back there. I know there is a decent chance for it, since plo5 zoom is swingy as hell. /: I think in the end of PLO2 I learned how to deal with the absolute beginners properly and not to blast stack against people who just calls anyways for learning purposes. Beat this level for 14.27bb/100, which for ZOOM I guess it is OK. I raked $148.71 at this level, so PokerStars beat me in PLO2 Okay EV still $171, so maybe maybe!

PLO5 is a totally different playground. People actually fold to my barrels and some robot regulars bluff time to time also. I love it. I feel like I really take advantage of some regulars just putting a lot of pressure deep stacked, some play pretty face up. A lot less fishes around that just are calling stations, these guys like to just LOTTO around and I have just pray my AA or double suited trash holds up. Need to play +3h session this level, since the edge of deep stacks are just so much higher here.

It is going to be really interesting next week.. Lets see if I am at PLO10 after next weekend, fingers crossed!

It has not been the most easiest ride ever.. Last week was brutal, came down 20 buy-ins from the last update, and now the bank roll is at $205 including $35 rake back received from Stars.
After a major downswing I suddenly realized that rake is killing my loose preflop game and tightened a little bit, but mostly just facing the brutal variance of PLO. I have been twice in the danger zone to fall back to plo2, but managed to get up. Lets see what happens next. Of course a little bit disappointed on my luck, but it should change at some point, right?

I would also love some better chests.. $35 from $490 raked in total with the challenge is not really the optimal rakeback ):

But enough of whining! I am in no mood of quitting, still fighting hard! Looking at my stats vs regulars are okay, beating most of them so far. But if I ever wish to beat plo5, I have to beat them. I am currently playing more solid and try to avoid preflop flipping due to the high rake, but sometimes I just cannot help my self but to 4-bet, since the spot is just too juicy!

Shoutouts to the handsome Britts who are cheering for me in the PLO streets !

Here is the biggest pot I have won so far in PLO5, a bit of battling with this gentleman just hands before, so I decided to rep the bullets hardcore

I already feel like this is going to be the most difficult thing ever for me, since I am battling with heavy feelings about the success so far; runbad continues the 2nd week also, almost knocking out me to plo2.

BANKROLL: $174,84 including Rakeback of $48.50. Raked total $650.

I have couple of buy-in afford to shot in the plo5 streets now, lets just hope the rungood would start. In total I have had 2 days totally off from the challenge, having few days with fewer hours. In total of game play 137 hours. I am 57 buy-ins under expected value in PLO5. That really is not the easiest way to start the challenge.

Will post some hands after the Sesh!
