My name is Aaron and I play under the username abarone68 on PokerStars. After fantasizing about getting Supernova Elite for a few years, I finally made that dream a reality in 2014. Took me about 1600 hours and an undisclosed amount of sanity, but I got there. In 2015 I'm looking to do it again (Minus the part about losing my sanity) in a shorter amount of time and beat last year's profit total. My grind is 99% SNGs, mostly 9s/18s.



Only going for 1,000,000 VPPs. Thought about 1.25 or even 1.5, but I don't want to be grinding in November. Winrates appear to be almost non-existent during that homestretch and I'd rather be doing something other than button clicking. Like, oh, I dunno...

All made possible by finishing SNE in mid November. These past six weeks have been hands-down the best part of my year. Better than the upswings and better than the precious black stars. Even the satisfaction of redeeming my $20,000 bonus was nothing compared to how I felt surprising my friend at his birthday party. I'll get back to work on ~January 20th (Playa del Carmen) but until then I'm going to enjoy the rest of my poker sabbatical with friends, family, and felt-less experiences. Here's hoping for another fulfilling year on and off the tables.

You realize that pretty much every single 6m hyper player $60+ that loses pre RB is a much much better overall poker player than every turbo 9m/18m/F50 reg, right?

Not hating on OP at all, I'm sure he'll be fine in the future as before 2014 he never went for SNE and made good $s, but for someone who posts strong opinions so often in pg&c, you seem pretty clueless. Pre RB profit doesn't insta equate to being some super talent, and losing pre RB doesn't insta equate to being bad.

Games def aren't getting better, that's for sure. And with the sweeping changes predicted to hit SNE players, it could get a lot worse very quickly. Personally I don't think this is my last year although it could be my last year with this sort of profit expectations. Because of that I'm tempted to go for 2 Million but I think that's a knee-jerk reaction and the only way I'd be able to keep up that pace is by playing games outside my comfort zone and (likely) punting a bit of money.

Thanks for the answer. Its like 2015 will be a year when everyone just waiting and tries to make as much as they can. Must be a strange feeling when having it as a work. Well it is same as beeing an employee at a large company and sales getting lower and lower and just waiting for a stupid short term decision from management. Good luck this year crusher.
