Who i am :

Hello everyone I'm Ruben ,

I've been playing poker as far back as the moneymaker boom , i probably didn't start taking it very seriously until i joined the now defunct parttimepoker.com. I started selling action to $5 45 mans iirc and slowly worked my way up to play basically everything that was available on all sites until black friday happened. After black friday i moved to Spain (where i was born) to continue playing and wouldn't you know it legislation came knocking shortly after, i then joined a stable where i was able to play all mtt's i wanted and unfortunately found myself in a ton of makeup(an absurd almost fake number).

I almost got to clear that number after almost three years in makeup thanks to some really good coaching and help from a mental coach i'm sure you've all heard of. I was dropped about two months ago due to my backer leaving staking and also me going off on a regrettable rant (one of many).

yeah almost 400k makeup leaves you in a permanent state of hopelessness, you have to kind of just get it together mentally

i wish i would have gotten out only cleared about 75% or 80% i don't really remember the number

Can you tell the story? This seems insane to me.

I know in banking there is actually a clause where if the bank lends out to someone who obviously shouldn't take out the loan and they then default, in certain situations, it is 100% on the bank as they didn't do their due diligence.

Sure , I began playing for this stable about 5 years ago , I was just coming into my own pre black friday(midstakes wise), I had decent stats for a midstakes reg.
Once Black Friday happened I was playing on wpn/revolution/merge and doing well. I spoke to someone at the table we became friends and I joined stable, I thought I was good enough to play high stakes mtts and my backer/group agreed.

We were wrong , from the time Black Friday happened until I started playing .com again the euros had gotten so good. I will say I didn't run all that well
but looking back at it I was pretty terrible. There was a quote I read once " if you don't think 6 months ago you sucked , you're not getting better" I think it was Jason Koon who said it. I wouldn't say I was awful but definitely not good enough to beat the stakes I was playing. I was barely taking money off the table at the time bb/100 wise. I lost 150k straight during wcoop just blasting away and never recovered. The number got as high as 365k before someone was brought in to completely change game selection and coach us and I was also provided a mental coach because I was an absolute mess.

I was at the point that a 5bb flip would send me up a wall , I was constantly posting bad beats in skype chat , I would quit poker 5 times a month and I was just an overall ****ty human to be around. I was in a relationship at the time and it caused huge problems between us. I legit lived off my parents for three years and she had no idea, my parents were essentially paying for our relationship (dinners, gifts etc)

Then I got offered a deal to make money while in makeup and the coaching started to help and I cleared about 250k in a year (I think) and made some money(albeit not much) doing so

I'm a terrible writer I haven't needed to write something this long in forever so please excuse me

was down to around 1800$ after running sort of bad in the on demand sngs

but we're back, i might have to play more than just wpn to get the volume in , there just aren't enough tournaments in the $10-$20 range

i know ignition has some smaller stakes mtt's , i've heard betonline? im totally unfamiliar with that site

Yeah you could probably add quite a few in from ignition and probably that has slightly higher traffic than most? I do not know too much about betonlines mtt schedule so I am not too sure. I know they have some leaderboards where you can get bonuses too, but do not know if there is a decent MTT one.

BetOnline is definitely a decent option to add in another site. Some solid MTTs at all levels and the fields are generally quite soft.
