Hey guys, thought I would make a thread. After my bi yearly blowup I am in the worst position of my life.

I have been a profitable poker player for over a decade but depression and gambling addiction have pretty much ruined my life. Due to some family issues and personal ones I have used it as an excuse to blast off my bankroll many times and never hold myself accountable.

Right now I have about 145k in debt after my most recent spaz. Earlier today I got a call about someone I know going in for their third cancer surgery and it got me thinking about my life and how disappointed I would be with how my life turned out if a died tomorrow.

So with that said I am giving it one last shot before I quit poker and move on to something else.

My risk of ruin is extremely high with only 3 buy ins and I am okay with that. If it wasnt meant to be than I am going to move on to something else. Either way I want to be happy for once.

So last night was interesting, I came very close to busting. I have never actually had the plan to quit poker before and meant it until yesterday. I got in KK vs AK in my first orbit and A was window card. A few hands later I got in KK vs AA against the same player and lost that one as well.

Down to my last bullet was a very weird feeling, almost resigned to my fate and okay with it. Knowing a toss or set over set and my poker career is over. The table talk at 1/2 kills me, its mind numbing but you have ton do what you have to do.

A few hours later after being down as low as 135 dollars I had around a 340 dollar stack while being in for 690.

UTG raises to 15 and MP calls. I have AA on the button and raise to 65 initial raise calls and MP folds effective stacks 340.

Flop 246 with two diamonds and I have the Ad. UTG has been relatively active but appears to limp small pairs, he also has been opening to 12 mostly so I am pretty sure he has 99 to JJ or AK AQ...def no sets and even though I am blocking his A high hands I think he has AK a lot of the time based on the sizing and call pre.

Pot 145 and I have 280 behind.

He checks to me and I down bet 40 dollars. This guy had been playing super slow all night and just basically insta calls.

Turn off suit 3 and he thinks for a while and bets 100. Not really worried at all about this card. Think for a bit and call to keep his bluffs in. Riv 4 no flush and he puts me all in after some thought. I snap and he says I win, I decide not to be an ass and just roll my aces. As he is folding I see the Ah in his hand so I think my flop sizing got him to spaz with no pair.

People ar 1 2 are so scared of getting their aces cracked they are just bombing flops.

Anywho I chased out 701 dollars and made 11 bucks for the night. Total bankroll now 708 dollars.

Obviously none of you know me and I have left details bit vague but I am going to be the best player in pretty much every game I sit in at these low levels. I hope variance lets me win a few all ins tonight.

Playing a low variance style compared to my usual LAG is also very boring, hope I can get to 2k instead so I have wiggle room and play a more fun style while making a better hourly.

Back at it on a few hours with a high risk of bust once again!

gl bro. Hope you rally hardcore and get back to a fighting roll. 3 bullets is cutting it pretty close...but you know that. If your going to make a last stand go down swinging. Hope you dont quit the game tho, no matter what.

I do. This seems to be standard language, along with “size down.”
