$6.97- $100,000 Challenge (1 Year) 2021

I am going to be showing the poker world that you can still grind a small bankroll ($6.97) into $100,000 in 1 year or less. Started this challenge technically on January 3rd, but since I will be moving in two months I have been busy and have only been able to grind a bit. My bankroll is already at $55 without any rake back bonus.

I will be posting updates a few times a week and I will also be starting a vlog on Youtube to document my journey.

The biggest challenge of this challenge is that I will be moving in two months and will have to withdraw first and last which will be around $3500. This will set me back quite a bit and I might have to drop back down to 25NL.

Goals and issues:

1. I am currently playing at around 40% efficiency, and would like to get up to 80% efficiency by March.
2. Volume is key for this challenge.
3. Casinos are closed for me in Canada due to Covid, but by the summer I am hoping to be able to either play locally or travel to Montreal once a month to play live cash games. I can make a decent amount playing $2/$5 live. (My last live session I turned $200 into $5500 playing 1/3 over 24 hour session)
4. I want to get off of caffeine sooner rather than later
5. The place I am living at now is terrible. I hate it. The people I live with bother me all day long, constantly just walking into my room, yelling, they are dirty, they don't clean up and they steal my ****.
6. Goal is to get my own place by March/April and not have roommates
7. I got out of a 8 year relationship where I lived with my ex , and I am looking to rebuild and relocate and hopefully meet that special girl again.
8. I am not able to cook at the place I currently live with due to cleanliness and the issue of them stealing my food, when I move I'm looking to cook daily , maybe bulk meals and I will have the luxury of having my own freezer and fridge.
9. By June/ July I'm looking to have $10,000 bankroll on two websites and hopefully live roll aswell separate.

Party Poker gave me a $25 credit this week so I'm going to include it in the challenge. Today I am either going to go broke on Party Poker or get the balance all the way up to $100 playing 5NL Zoom.

Wish me luck !

Bankroll update is $88.02. I haven't played many hands. Going to put in tons of volume today to see if I can get this to around $150. Would love to start playing 10NLZ sooner than later for this challenge.

First big downswing today, was up to over $90 bankroll, then all the way down to $56, going to have to grind really hard today to try to get to $150 which is my goal.

Bankroll Update " $115.02" , unfortunately had 5 deep runs 15th-50th place all for $2000-$4000 for 1st. Didn't take one down. Going to try to win a tournament, and grind cash games to get to 1k goal end of month minimum.

How's the challenge going Stoic? Stick with it man, if you go broke just get a job (if you don't already have one) and make small deposits and grind in your free time. Good luck.

Oh that's good. So did you give up on the challenge then?

I'm pretty sure I can make more money playing poker than a real job so I'm going to stick with it for now but thanks for the suggestion.

Why do people who can't make it in poker always brag about their shitty job in an arrogant way on a poker forum? It seems like a trend

Rumours has it he works their as a software developer, head of accounting and he cleans the toilet. He cooks lunch during the breaks, doing data analyses and you can call him if you are experiencing trouble with the service Facebook provides.

In fact, you better be nice to him. You maybe talking to Mark Zuckerberg himself. Say anything he doesn't like and he end up buying 2+2 and gives you an IP ban for live!

(Haha all jokes OP, beside you being a little bit toxic here and there I'm happy to hear you are proud and happy with your job.)

Mark told me he sits under Marks desk the whole day for a couple dollars so he can try to beat 2nl, Mark tried to help him by giving him free Zynga poker chips to practice but he thought it was too ez for his high skill level
