So, I guess this is fairly normal around here. Last month I started w/ 150$, and decided instead of getting a summer job, I'll work on my poker game. I've been around on this site for a while, but never put in the time/effort to really make my game shine. Since then, I ran it up to a peak of $930.

A little about me:
I am a 21 (soon to be 22) year old university student. I am a wrestler by sport, at school on a scholarship until I dislocated my tib-fib. I went through a little rough patch after this, and realized manual labour jobs are out for the summer.

I live in my own apartment, 800km away from my home and parents. There is no real chance to "run home" and call it quits, and I'm not willing to give up.

My plan:
I plan to do this goal at either 50NL or 100NL. Currently, over a really small sample of 18k hands @ 25nl ZOOM FR, I'm running at 7.6 ptbb/100, and over 45k hands, 5.65 ptbb/100 over 5nl-25nl.

I would assume that I can translate this into a 2-2.5ptbb/100 WR @ 50NL FR. This is on the high side, but I know I can put in the work to do this.

4 tabling ZOOM leads to ~1150 hands an hour for me. So, if all went according to plan, I'd make:

2ptbb/100 * 1150 hands/hour = 46bb/hour = $23.00/hour

I will put in a minimum of 100k hands a month, 25k a week, or 5k a day. According to http://www.pokerstars.com/vip/calculator/, that equivilates to $7,929 a year in RB, or ~875/month for the last months.

Living expenses:
Rent - 600$
Food - 250$
Phone/Internet - 200$
Misc - 150$
Saving - 400$
=$1600 a month

How I will do this:
I will try to keep a daily update of this, and post hands I run into problems.

To start it off, my graph:

Running at 14.6/11.9 @ 25nl FR ZOOM.

2nd hand fold.

3rd hand i would say c/c, give missed draws a chance to stab, plus i think he would try and value bet 2p, lower sets, AJ??? maybe.

Thanks String. Hope I can find a way to make this thread worth it to read for others as well.

Bing, Out of curiosity, why do you fold the second hand? My line of thought, was that he was bad, flatting a 4b, even though he had position. I figured his range for shoving this flop is basically TT+, T9-AhKh. The only hands I'm beating in that range is QQ and AK. Is my x/f too weak?

Hand 3, are you happy with calling a shove by villian? Does he ever shove anything worse? What about turning your hand into a bluff-shove?

Just broke 20k hands. Looks like I'm on a downswing, can't seem to get any hand to hold up.

Put in another 2125 hands for a total of $-103.62.

Current BR: $752.25
VPP this month: 826.33

Currently,
3304 hands, $-180.06
Worst day I've had so far, bound to happen. I'm going to take a break, I'm also an assistant coach for the provincial wrestling team, so I'm hoping that may clear my head. I'll put in another hour or 2 after practice tonight, with hopefully better results.

Going to go through my hands sometime soon, maybe tonight/tomorrow. I'm losing w/ JJ TT overall, curious why, probably will find a fairly big leak that's just pronounced by these hands.
