Maximum 50/50??? does that means lots of players are on less than 50/50 while eating 100% make up?

Again I'd rather not speak about the pros and cons of staking. Ill treat this as a diary and post about the ups and downs and mental roller coaster of being a staker in the poker world. It's a goal and challenges blog rather than an nvg thread.

I think the fact that they have 70 full time horses who buy into the idea and a reasonably high retention rate, along with good profit, shows that they're doing something right.

If there is a player with little experience and low yearly ev then we will accept them into the development stable where we commit a bunch of extra time and pay for additional coaching from our top tier guys. I don't want to be mistrustful here but I imagine there's around 20 hours of additional content available within the development stable.

If the guys work hard and implement everything we give them, then they will move up to the main stable which happens with a lot of the guys.

As I said previously, Zolta moved up from dev stable to main stable and not is a mentor for the dev stable guys. We've had guys been in dev stable for less than a month before moving up.

In general they get very clear guidelines of the stuff they need to improve. Luckily we have what we believe is clear indications of what makes a winning poker player, it doesn't matter if they have good results or not as much as impressive stats will be a great indication that they're ready to move up.

We also have our highest rate of losing makeup in dev stable too, dropping guys in big makeup that we "took a gamble on" but didn't work out for whatever reasons.

If people post I'll reply because we don't have anything to hide etc but it was always intended to be more of a diary than a discussion around staking in general, although I realise it's now a pretty good place for all kind of discussions regarding staking, which is fine. Just to reiterate my intention was always supposed to be around this being more of a "diary"
Clearly this wasn't your intention when you went to the bother of setting up a NEW PG&C with the flamboyant marketing title "$5m Profit in 2017 - Best In the Business" . You really do expect people to be spoon fed these mistruths and listen to them, what you had before was a diary now you have somewhere to try promote your business, and that's fine by me but just say thing's how they are instead of glossing over all the negatives. If player x is making 100k per year by himself, and ye take him on and coach him he now needs to make double per year to even make 100k for himself, and your offering that you can even make him more than this?

I think you also need to consider the value of the resources that are made available to these players. They have access to some of the top MTT players in the world, experts from other fields to help them develop, all of these thing have a value.

Additionally, people don't join a stable to stagnate at the level they're at, they join to improve. If I felt I could increase my ROI and ABI by giving up 50% of my profits I would have to consider it. The money that I'm giving up is an investment in my ability as a poker player and the opportunity to work with people on the cutting edge of the game.

Who will join a stable if he is making 100k/Y?!
Most players will join such stables bc they struggle, so prob most make 20-30k/Y. That's why its way easier to get those players an income increase that both sides can benefit .

Might wanna use your real account now?
Which world we are right now, that people have to hide behind new Accounts to say something they want to say?
Nobody has to like this stable or him but at least show some respect and post under your real account when you have something to say. He is even responding to your posts nicely so no need to hide

I agree I think it is quite out of line to post so many derails without even being on your actual account. Seems like abject cowardice to me.

Speaking as someone who has been staked/coached and has staked/coached, I think when it works properly it's a mutually beneficial relationship. Don't think this is the thread to have the debate though.

Btw I think people massively underestimate how tough it is mentally to play for yourself and see your net worth fluctuating massively day in day out.

It was not long ago I had a $2-300k bankroll and had a mental weakness that there was no way I could play MTTs without being stakes. There was just different things and emotions that I couldn't handle when playing for myself which were perfectly fine when "it was somebody else's money"

I'm going to record some footage and around 2 hour video and post it on the thread. I'll make the video on Friday.

What's the best way for me to release it? Iirc YouTube took so long to process videos.

Also what would people like to see? Pick 10-20 hands from all different tournaments and go through them? Hand history review from a deep run? Analyse a hole cards up final table?

If I don't finish the video before Sunday then I add an extra $1k to the charity pool. If it isn't released by this time next week I'll add another $1000.

Will also be doing s bunch of forfeit to charity amounts.

I went for the first run on my fitness plan this morning. Jesus it was tough. I used to be a really good runner, people who know me probably will be surprised, I'm short and stocky but when I was 14-16 I was running very competitively cross country and long distance running and was probably top 20 in the country and definitely top 3 in north of England.

This morning I ran 7 minutes to a green, sprinted around the green, recovered half of the green, sprinted again a lap and jogged slowly home. I was absolutely ****ed. I took some pictures for "before" I won't release them right now out of shame but hopefully in 1-2 months after I work and train hard I'll feel ok posting before and after.

Meeting Demetri tomorrow and going to look around at his gym. Funny that Demetri is one of the biggest competitors in the business and he lives less than 5 minutes from my house.

Will start trying to add more pictures/colour to the thread too.

Hope this isn't an over sensitive topic, don't want to upset people but we had this discussion today in our general chat. One tangent to another, to another to this.

"You can go back to 48 hours before September 11 attacks. You live in Europe and you're 8 years old but you have all the knowledge you have now. How do you best try to stop the attack, gto wise"

Best answer gets $20 on stars.

do you think or know some of other stables that actually have the coaches help junior players in final table and whats your take on it, obviously its one of those things if some one does they will not anounce it ?

due to this one reason i think stables have the ability to ethically hurt recreational poker players ev as stable players end up winning and there are so many options tools already available to your guys as skype, team viewer, coaches, sessions that they can easily guide players even if they dont ghost it.

be honest and share your opinion

Hmm this is a tough one. I can come up with loads of ways to save a load of people but actually preventing the attack is trickier. I guess you could call the departure airport anonymously and give them the names of the hijackers and their intentions to ensure they never get on the plane?
m Profit in 2017 - Best In the Business Quote

I mean I think with being 8 years old it's going to be borderline impossible to be taken seriously enough in 48 hours to prevent it. Even being a full grown adult is going to have a tough time convincing people a) he is innocent and b) that he has detailed knowledge of an imminent terrorist attack - the first of its kind on American soil by an ethnic group that is quite common to be distrusted by all kinds of xenophobic folcs.

I guess the best way would be to know all relevant details of the plane hijackers and call New York embacy or local police asap and never stop until the issue is escalated to somebody who could promise to start doing surveillance but given u re 8 years old there s an overwhelming chance of c) it being laughed off and d) you getting snatched up by some secret service and thrown into some Guantanamo type bs in the aftermath of the attacks. Seems like there just isn't a way in that scenario that's realistic to save more than a couple lives by making personal warning calls in all the offices and getting people to leave the towers

Also it really depends on what we have at our disposal knowledge wise. You phrased it "everything you know today" which without using google is laughably little for somebody who hasn't studied the topic in detail. Let's say you somehow have eidetic memory and know EVERY name of the perps you could use it to call the relevant airports and get escalated there enough as to get the perps frisced as I believe they smuggled weapons on board of the planes in order to overpower the staff. If it's "knowledge u have and no other sources" this option goes out the window.

Actually maybe going to European embassy might yield a higher net EV and u should try there and if fails make said calls in the aftermath.

Simple answer has to be just call in a Bomb threat, no?

Like even before then all bomb threats had to be taken seriously so you could just call in a bomb threat on the Airports that the planes took off and we're going to land in an hour before departure time.
m Profit in 2017 - Best In the Business Quote

The bomb threat doesn't work because they will just delay the attack to another day. So even though you prevent 9/11 technically, the attack will likely still go through on another date.

I am still not sure what the best way should be, think it's just impossible to be taking seriously especially being 8 years old. And like blakman says, there's the chance to end up in guantanamo after because how could you know about it without being an accomplice? Just shrug it off and move on, invest in bitcoins and do some sportsbetting.

I get in touch with the perpetrators through social media(myspace ) and explain in detail their plans. They proceed to freak out. I tell them I am prophet Muhammad reborn and that I am proud af about them. I inform them that they cannot proceed fighting the good fight now, because I need them as my apostle bros when I come of age, else they be damned. Might have them go after Kim Jong-un or something, meh.

yeah but if you somehow manage to prevent the attack occurring they'll probably find something when they look into the attackers and see that the threat is legitimate. knowing they just avoided such a huge attack that slipped through their intelligence they'll scale up security in awareness of the threat

anonymously ringing airports/intelligence agencies has to be the only option, the 8 year old caveat is amazing
