Re: 500z till Busto...

Ah yes, the old 124x pot bluff jam. Very difficult spot indeed.

It's also my first time I played reg tables, I made it to the level where the tables are not snap filling up when I sit down.

Also want to share this HH what Ankes sended me

very ugly spot vs the super whale from the J4s
If you're feeling like that, just take a break for a week and study pio! It's better ro recover and not tilt again.

And btw, not sure who is the bigger whale, that guy just made a lifetime of EV ankes would make vs him by making him level himself into a call there.

Sure that whales overbluff, but when overbets start getting a bit large (like 10x pot) they basically have 0 bluffs in their range and I can't see a whale valuebetting worse in there, even with a flush he wouldn't just pile it in 900bb in the pot like that no matter how bad it is.

Just because someone is a whale that overbluffs it doesn't mean they overbluff in every spot, in fact there will be some spots where they will underbluff.

At first I thought ankhes’ call was awful, but since the fish is the same as in the J4s hand I cant really blame him for calling.

Haha I missed that J4 hand.

I will say that I think the two spots are very different, but that definitely makes calling at least a consideration

This. Sure that J4s is ugly, but 100x pot plays way different than 10x pot. Can't snap fold vs that obv

sure, the spots are different, but you only have so much time/focus available to you on the table (especially when you 8 table like ankhes). So when you've already seen villain blast off 10x pot with a random bluff and you hold a pretty strong hand, its not that easy of a laydown imo.

Re: 500z till Busto...

I mean I get what you’re saying, but if ever there was evidence that you probably shouldn’t be playing 8 tables of 200/500z in a time where rakeback isn’t a thing (like we needed it), it’s probably losing an 18 buy in pot to a fish, when there are 7.5bb in the pot on the river, because you don’t have tome to think it through.

Re: 500z till Busto...

Agree on that, never understood why people would still 8 table in current environment, working their asses off for 2bb winrates, if even that.

18 buyin is a bit of a stretch, you cant say with certainity this guy wouldnt do this with worse flushes, 6x or some random spazz. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely agree its a fold and one Id make pretty fast, but I just dont blame Ankhes for leveling himself here (we all make ridiculous calls every now and then right?).

Yeah how long will it take to grind those 900bb back while sharing the pool with 70-150 other players.
Also a chance the fish quits after a massive pot.

if the fish is dumb/tilted/explosive enough to jam 10 buyins, one could think he's really rich irl and/or very tilted. "the spew factor" is not to be taken lightly here.

Yeah, guy is playing too many tables, why bothering with a 1000bb bet OTR? Haha
Std auto-pilot play, really hard to pay attention to everything going on

He blocks the only weaker flush that could do this (if he is doing it with flushes which is quite unlikely imo)
