Sure that whales overbluff, but when overbets start getting a bit large (like 10x pot) they basically have 0 bluffs in their range and I can't see a whale valuebetting worse in there, even with a flush he wouldn't just pile it in 900bb in the pot like that no matter how bad it is.

Just because someone is a whale that overbluffs it doesn't mean they overbluff in every spot, in fact there will be some spots where they will underbluff.

sure, the spots are different, but you only have so much time/focus available to you on the table (especially when you 8 table like ankhes). So when you've already seen villain blast off 10x pot with a random bluff and you hold a pretty strong hand, its not that easy of a laydown imo.

I mean I get what you’re saying, but if ever there was evidence that you probably shouldn’t be playing 8 tables of 200/500z in a time where rakeback isn’t a thing (like we needed it), it’s probably losing an 18 buy in pot to a fish, when there are 7.5bb in the pot on the river, because you don’t have tome to think it through.

Agree on that, never understood why people would still 8 table in current environment, working their asses off for 2bb winrates, if even that.

18 buyin is a bit of a stretch, you cant say with certainity this guy wouldnt do this with worse flushes, 6x or some random spazz.
