Hello,

Someone on the poker vlogging thread gave me the idea to post up my 500 hour in 1 month challenge in the PG&C! I will be posting up my results from all my games, hourly, tip rates, every detail for the 500 hours of play from Jan 5th to Feb 5th 7:00 pm.

I will be playing approx 300 hours of 3/5 NL and try to find 200 hours between the 5/10/20 NL and 10/20 PLO.

If no games run, I will be playing the 1/2 NL, which I have 4 hours logged from a Tuesday 5am.

Others have said, ~350 is the highest they've seen, many have posted up hours far less and failed. Hopefully I can complete this challenge without having the hourly suffer too much.

Hope you guys enjoy the journey!

Session results from last 5 days. Forgot to include the 5/10/20 NL session. Didn't really have a big impact. Just logged hours, but swung down 2k and back up 2k to break even.

However there was another small session within that day where I played another 10/20 NL and won like $1.5k but didnt add it to the challenge due to tiredness and forgot to input. Too much table hopping around/

Forgot to mention.

Chipstacks and chipporn will be updated every couple hours by IG live feed on the story time line. And also how I feel each day. Though we only finished day 5, im already feeling light headed for the last day.

This can verify I do my hours as well.

Heading in right now for the 5/5/10 PLO. If games good it'll be 10/20 plo.

Today I called it quits, too frustrated to play more. Gonna go to bed at 2:30 am, head back out there at 6:30 am to complete the hours for the day that I need.

Played 1.5 hours at 3/5 NL, won $1500.

Played 6.5 hours at 5/5/10/20+ PLO (we were forcing $100 blind bomb pots from everyone for orbits at a time).
@czhecraisecharles (i didnt spell that right), our lucky shirts appear to not have worked their magic this time.

The spot took over $6500-7000 from me. I basically only lost to him in 2 pots for $3k+ each. AAKQ vs 369R, made it $2k pre.

And 66RR (hero) vs Q658 on Q6234 (i had to call off river with $300 left when the pot was like $5K entering the river).

Cant go back to playing 3/5 right after this. Need a reset.

Spoiler:
Ending the day up, $30

Day 7. 23 hour session at 3/5 NL 500 CAP game.

Cashed out $1518 profit, after bleeding back like $1K in several annoying spots.

Avg Hourly: $44.80
Total Hours: 104 hours (excluding 4 hours from 1/2 NL)

Heavily weighed down by 5/10/20+ PLO with orbits of dead $100 straddles.

Am approx 5 hours behind schedule.

Thanks man!

Just finished eating dinner (or w/e you call this meal). Sleeping from 6:15 pm to 10:00pm.

Gonna get back to the casino by 10:30 pm and grind for another 8-10 hours into the early Sunday morning.

Catch the drunk sat night crowd hopefully.

Sounds like an interesting challenge, but make sure you are keeping yourself healthy.

Plenty of poker to be played over the coming months and years...

Careful you might get heart failure from dehydration and exhaustion. I still think it would be better to make a qualitative poker challenge. Like going to the casino on "fish days" promo days where the fish flood the poker room. Finding whales to play against getting invited to super soft and profitable home games etc. Think where the prey might be and show up.This is just quantitative and possible dangerous.

Or spend your entire bankroll on the largest guaranteed tournaments you can find see if you can hit it big. What is the point of this challenge?

Jesus christ, some basic math shows that you can sleep just under 8 hours a night, and then every other second must be on poker.

Good luck

I'm def stacking up on my health insurance this year around and getting the premium packages. Sometimes I feel things about my body (like you prob shouldnt feel it) from time to time... Makes me ponder.

I do frequent checks (for most people) to the docs though.

The "fish idea" is kinda good. Perhaps for my next series. Like for 1 month, I'll analyze all the friday+saturday games and see how I run in that.

The point of this challenge is to force me to get volume. I honestly slacked off hard and barely put in hours after 2-3 months after WSOP (so for the last quarter of the year) I did zero pretty much.

This 500 will more than cover the hours I missed and set me straight for 2018.

I honestly am sometimes scared what I'm doing to my health

On the nights I do 23 hours. I get to sleep in a little more since I built a reserve from before.

Entering day 8, week 2. Only estimated 5 hours behind schedule I believe, haven't done the math after the +23. A little weird because entering today, now I"m like 6 hours behind the normal schedule.

Just completed 22 hour session.

Up $266.

The last 6-7 hours of my session, my stack barely moved $300 up or down. I had a guy folding AK pre. TWO GUYS actually.

Actually felt like crying at the table. No joke. sometimes up with my body. Like i feel like i cant breathe or just suffocating while playing.

One of the best 3/5 whales in the game sat on my right for hours!

After 13 hours of play, I came up $65.....

This guy is blind-donk-shoving $100 every other hand. And I can barely win this session. Every time I isolate him, I get re-iso'ed by a nit. Long story short, everyone made money off him but me really.

Someone decided to play a 3bet pot with 2-7 against my AA. That was $1K costly on a 2-2-6-9-R board... with FD missing

Update on Entire 500 Hour Challenge:

Total Hours: 149.5 (80% of these hours are 3/5)
Total Earned Across all stakes: $5101
Total Hourly: $34

Days left in challenge: 21

These last two days, I played approx 35 hours and earned only $300...

My main initial reason was to get my ass motivated to get back on the grind because I did nothing for 3-4 months after WSOP & LA. I figured a ridiculous challenge like 500 hours would spark the flames in me.

To encourage me from not giving up, I made bets on the line. I estimate if I win, it'll be close to $6500-$7000 after I collect a few more dinner bets at top notch restaurants. If I lose, it'll be around $1300?

Today's Session:
12.5 hours done at 3/5 NL
Lost $89
Tipped $18

Most stuck: $1600 in for $2000 w/ fourth $500 bullet
High point: up $300

Body and mind felt kinda okay today. Encouraged by people at my casino to keep it up. Must be because I'm playing gosh darn awful.

1/17/2018

Lost $273, 8.5 hours from 7:00 pm to 3:30 am, tipped $16

Today session wasn't all too bad in terms of buy-ins. I never really got stacked, only was in for $800 at my lowest point and always recovered to being up. Except every time I started to run my stack up. I would get sucked out.

Last hand of the night, before I quit the game annoyed. Rather get a good night rest so I can play the big PLO game tomorrow fresh.

Hero calls $35 after 4 people in LP with 5c4c

Flop ($175): 4h-Tc-8d
EP aggro bets $80
Folds around, hero calls HU

Turn ($335): 5h
EP checks. Hero bets $420
EP stacks off for less than $500

He gets there with Ah2h.

In the last 56 hours of play, I made -$31 from 3/5 NL
