The goal?
£500,000

Time span?
12 months

Stakes/Game?
NLHE 600 upwards

Introduction:
I have been playing poker for around 6 years now, starting off at school, progressing to online. At the start I was losing at NL25, then gradually through rake back and learning the game I managed to build a roll. I have always had no real value for money and if I won big I would either be down the casino playing roulette after a big night out or booking holidays for 10+ friends to come to Vegas for a lads holiday. In this time I have come through University finally achieving a degree in Banking, Finance & Management this summer, despite never making any lectures. It was a four year course, the third year on placement. Everyday I would count the hours down on the clock until I got home to grind the tables and make money. Working the 9-5 office job was something I never wanted to do (and still, nothing has changed). I built a bankroll on there to a solid 6 figure one but over the space of 48 hours on online roulette and sports betting I went from £200,000 to £5,000. Since Jan 5th 2011 I have put in a fair number of hands (approx 200k) and worked it back from NL200 to now NL2K again, with shots at NL5-10K. Now with a bankroll of around £200,000 again, I am determined to achieve £500,000 profit in the next 12 months.

I have recently been beating the tables at a win rate of around 10bb/100 since Feb this year. Below is my graph (my computer got wiped completely about in April time so the graph only includes hands since then), and a report of the various stakes I have been playing with winnings etc.

I have wanted to start this goal for some years now, but being a student (my dad making me get the degree) I never really saw the need to take it serious until now.

I will be updating this thread regularly and will answer any questions you may have in here or via PM.

I will be trying to work on my showdown line in the graph also. The non-showdown I am happy with.

So here it is, GL me!

You seem to have a gambling problem. No responsible poker player should allow themselves to bet and gamble away their roll like that. Sort these issues out and you're much more likely to reach your goal.

And to those who commented on the roulette/sports losses - I assure you I won't make that mistake again

Your screenshots show limits from nl400 and up, but you said that you started from nl200 and got to nl2k in half a year, I assume you took some risky shots and used agg brm. Little story here maybe ?

Nah no story I'm afraid, i did play NL200, but as i mentioned in the Intro, my computer got wiped completely and I lost all my hands from Feb-April time. By April I was back to 400+ so thats why nl200 doesn't appear from screen shot which i took yesterday

Why fix the blue line if the red is so good? There is a correlation between the two lines as far as I am aware. Ill take a good green line any day.

Why? Green line and win rate is all that matters - red/blue line is simply style.

4-5BB/100 is pretty damn solid.

Looks great, I didn't even think it were possible to have those kind of winrates anymore. Do you have any tips for a breakeven 100NL, 200NL grinder?

True mate - It's just i've seen other graphs where both go upwards, i suppose my redline is alot more vertical than their's which compensates for the lack of increase in blue...
