I'am just a poker newbie with the dream of becoming good enough to make a living out of it.
I like to learn new things and I also feel the need to find out more about life.
This, I feel, requires total freedom which I don't get in a job.
Poker seems like a pretty good fit:

1. I get to learn new stuff, I like that
2. it's challenging so it keeps me sharp and helps in my endeavor to learn about myself and life
3. freedom and flexibility with time (huge!)
4. possible to make a living playing it (???)

So that's my little dream, I don't know how realistically it is. Who cares???
I have a brain and in my view that's the only requirement!

Little update without any hands because I didn't record hands (got PT4 trial just now).

Ok so I played a bunch a games starting at 10€, climbing up to the 20€s and eventually battling it out with regs at €50s. I gained quite a lot of confidence during this period. At one point I was thinking I would make them afraid of me and I thought that soon they would stop playing me. But then I lost a bunch of games in a row and my account balance quickly declined to a point where I couldn't battle with them anymore.

BR: 3.13€

It's strange that I actually felt that the games got easier the higher the stakes I played. The players were more straightforward, made less random moves and I was finding it easier to figure out what they were doing.
Given that I'm now this low I'll just have to live with the fact that I will have play the lowest limits possible for a while and grow the bankroll from there. I'm not sure how many buyins I should aim for to take shots but I'm thinking 10 seems like a nice number to aim for when taking shots at a higher stake.

I now need a period of reflection and study to work on my game. Then I will get back to action and hopefully start posting some hands from the games.

don't play with 50€ regs with your current experience.
your line seems suicidal to me, you most likely have no clue about what was going on

yep, complete suicidal. play the lowest stake possible, you have to start climbing from the bottom, not from 3/4 of the mountain. and of course you have to study, be more humble and take it from there,. you seem to think that you are very intelligent person, it's probably true. but guess what? it doesnt matter how smart you are you wont beat 50e stakes nowadays without serious study and experience
