Going to do this. Daily Updates. I am a Vegas local. I am a waiter on the Las Vegas strip and part time uber driver, so I'll occasionally pop an entry into a MTT $125 on the Aria or The Orleans, or maybe some of the Venetian Deepstacks. Definitely the Rio Deepstacks come summer.
Anywho, until then I am grinding it from 2NL.
I am on ACR (lmaorotflololol), Once my bankroll can sustain it, I will do some moderate MTT entries to (Only when I have 100+ buy ins for that pricepoint). However, it is nothing but cash games until then. Typically going to be doing some 6max with some full ring peppered in there as well.
I'm okay at this game, but once I hit a certain point, I plan on doing some CFP program (Probably once I hit 25NL) just to keep my mind right.
I have had discipline issues in the past, but for the past month, I have cut down on the drinking (Its an easy environment to get a part of if you're in the culinary scene here). I have worked on my diet and have been eating very well in the past few months, lost some poundage (I'm not fat, but heavier than I have been in a while) and will be continuing my attendance at the gym. I will also be doing some meditation to keep my level headed while grinding it out.
My goal is 15k hands per week. Grinding a few hours at a time, and only when I am at a peak mental state. I hope to do some VLOGs at some point as well, especially when I am doing some live MTT action. Will do some posts on my workout regime and eating habits as well.
Although 5k is a small sample size, I think running at 30/21 is already a little to spewy. Maybe on the border, but I think I can tighten it up at least a little bit for the time being. Looking be around 28/24. I did have a heater session where I won 10 BI in 1k hands, but even then I was running 23/16. I need to close my VPIP/PFR gap, which I will definitely be working on.
Bankroll Goals
Current - $50
5NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $100
10NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $210
25NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $500
50NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $1000
100NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $2100
200NL - Take a 6BI Shot at $3400
ACR doesn't really get too much more intense than that so I think 200NL will be a solid way to grind it out until I can find another place that has higher volume at higher levels.
Anywho, here are my biggest winning and losing hands for the day:
Preflop: Hero is CO with Q Q
MP1 folds, MP2 raises to $0.06, MP3 raises to $0.18, Hero calls $0.18, BTN calls $0.18, SB calls $0.17, BB calls $0.16, MP2 raises to $1.20, MP3 folds, Hero raises to $3.84, BTN folds, SB calls $1.55 and is all-in, BB folds, MP2 calls $1.22 and is all-in
Flop: ($7.11) 2 Q 3 (3 players, 2 are all-in) Turn: ($7.11) 6 (3 players, 2 are all-in) River: ($7.11) 3 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $7.11 pot ($0.35 rake)
Final Board: 2 Q 3 6 3
SB showed 3 A and lost (-$1.73 net)
MP2 showed 5 7 and lost (-$2.42 net)
Hero showed Q Q and won $6.76 ($4.34 net)
^I had just joined the table, and figured flatting a 3b IP wouldn't bring in every caller behind me. It did. Once the 4b was in, I figured if I'm getting coolered with KK AA I'm getting coolered. That table ended up being 6 BI to my 11BI win session.
Preflop: Hero is SB with A A
UTG+1 raises to $0.06, UTG+2 calls $0.06, 2 folds, MP3 calls $0.06, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.22, 2 folds, UTG+2 calls $0.16, MP3 calls $0.16
Flop: ($0.74) 6 T Q (3 players)
Hero bets $0.47, UTG+2 raises to $2.93, MP3 folds, Hero calls $2.46
Turn: ($6.60) 3 (2 players) River: ($6.60) T (2 players)
Spoiler:
Results: $6.60 pot ($0.33 rake)
Final Board: 6 T Q 3 T
UTG+2 showed T T and won $6.27 ($3.12 net)
MP3 mucked and lost (-$0.22 net)
Hero showed A A and lost (-$3.15 net)

First, and good luck.
It seems that everyone is following my lead on the pokerplayer/uberdriver thing.
I’m not doing Uber anymore as I’m self sustaining with poker alone, but I want to help you out as much as I can.
Firstly, what car do you have? You most def. need a hybrid if you want to be in the black. If you haven’t figured it out already, gas, wear and tear on the car, mileage, higher insurance premium, and higher risk all together will make the endeavor not worth it long term. It’s a good tool for networking (either professionally/leisure/dating, I've gotten some sweet, sweet Los Angeles poon from driving for Lyft) or to get yourself some cash to get you on your feet. Especially since, they’re rolling out the self driving uber cars very soon. I write about some of my uber experiences briefly
Second, there’s no money in online poker. Everybody knows this. I simply don’t understand how you have two jobs, and you’re still grinding 2NL. Blah blah blah, its for the experience. A preschooler with tooth fairy money could afford to play 2NL. When I was just starting off, I just dove right into playing $200 NL at the local casino. I’m assuming you’re a grown man, so play a grown man game. YOU’RE IN LAS VEGAS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE. Everyone there know’s the Encore Game is the softest in town.
You’ll probably fall off the map like everyone else does, but I sincerely wish you the best.
As far as uber goes; Its a super part time thing for me. Like 2-3 days a week if that. My waiting job on the strip pays for the everything, but I don't like to be bored. I'm not worried about the wear and tear on the car (My parents won a sweepstakes, some one and a million shot to win a car, so they gave me their old car, which is a 2012 Honda Accord) It does what I need it to and its decent looking. My end goal is to move to NYC where I don't need a car because I hate cars.
As far as 2NL goes. In cash games, I have a history of tilting. I know I am in Vegas so I have all the unlimited poker ever. I am also playing WAY under my stakes online. However, I have massive discipline issues, so this is a personal challenge of mine. I will be popping an entry into either the Daily $125 @ Aria, the Sunday 25k @ Wynn, Venetian Deepstacks, and Rio Deepstacks when they come around. My MTT history is profitable. Barely profitable, but profitable, and I have spent some time studying MTT theory and received some coaching from great online players. I have never really developed any consistency in the cash game department, and thats what I want to do.
TLDR; I am an undisciplined degenerate at cashgames. Solid, but way tilty. This challenge is to teach myself discipline.
That being said I may drop the bar for taking shots at 5NL 10NL and 25NL

Turn: ($0.65) 7 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.32, UTG+1 raises to $0.88, MP1 raises to $1.61 and is all-in, Hero raises to $1.79 and is all-in, UTG+1 calls $0.91
River: ($5.84) 8 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $5.84 pot ($0.27 rake)
Final Board: 9 5 A 7 8
Hero showed A 2 and won $5.57 ($3.57 net)
UTG+1 showed 9 A and lost (-$2 net)
MP1 showed 5 5 and lost (-$1.82 net)
good luck! I hope you succeed. Its gunna take a long time, but if you have the motivation you will reach it in no time!
Thanks I was reading yours as well. Idk if you did the omaha8 at The Orleans, but that game is pretty easy. I played that game a few times earlier this week.
Another 941 hands in the books another $5 into the bankroll.
Currently 9-tabling to 12-tabling so that does a good job keeping me focused as well as taking my mind off the fact im only doing 2NL.
At 12.3k hands still winning at 16.5bb/100. I am also getting rake back bonuses at a pretty good rate.
BR - 61/10000
Once at 80 i will fire 4 bullets into 5NL.
My method has currently been multitabling for around an hour to 90 minutes at a time. If I am feeling good at that point, I take a 20 minute break to grab a drink, review the hands i lost all my money on, and start fresh. If I am tired, I go do something else. My goal is to do 4-6 hours a day so that should keep up my goal of 15k hands/week. Probably more towards 20k.

Another ~4k hands in. Sitting at 16.2k hands right now. First 3300 hands I was down $9 and made it all up in my last 45 minute session.
I think I'm going to cap my multitabling at 12 tables. I tried 15 and after going over my HH, i didn't seem spewy, but it was overall a session where I lost 4BI, and I know I was missing some spots there. Once I'm in an upswing I'll try to increase the amount of tables.
Small session today. Had work, so only played until I started feeling a little fatigued. Been off a bit recently due to it being the slow season on the strip. Plenty of time to hit the grind tomorrow, wednesday, and in all honesty, most of this week. Hopefully vacation time means plenty of fish to fill the online rooms in the upcoming week!
Anywho, I got another 1600 hands in another 2 hour session. Stuck to 8 or 9 tables. I felt like I could do more, but I felt really focused so I didn't want to screw things up. Made some nice hero calls. Would've been a great session, but I ended up running QQ into AA a couple times.
Question for anyone reading...
Is there anyway to get out of a QQ AA AIPF if the villains stats are pretty aggro? Send me your arguments on folding QQ here or if this is just another bullet I have to keep biting.
I didnt receive any action on any of my KK/AA today(And I'm a LAG reg, which sucks), so I ended up slow playing QQ one time, and ended up winning my biggest hand of the day as I flopped top set and ended up getting an all in hero call with 22.
I'm feeling confident that something big is going to happen in the next few days. Either massive cooler or massive heater. Not sure where its going but it should be nice looking at a shift in my graph in the next few days as I have currently hovered at +$40 Profit for about the past 10k hands. All I can do is stay focused and keep playing my game.
Bankroll - 64/10000
I'm very confident that with my h/hr and workrate, I can get an additional $40 in rake alone.
Once I climb the stakes, I'm going to look to get myself into The Beast tournament. But can't focus on that just yet!
Going to grab a drink with the GF, go to bed, wake up tomorrow, eat, gym, grind!
I can't tell you how much value there is in winning an entry into the beast every week. There's usually a field of 350-400 and less than 150 actually show up to play so it's pretty easy to get a huge stack by the time you hit the middle of the tournament. First time I got in I won a seat into the cage. At 15k hands/week you might be able to do it once you're playing 10nl. Subbed and good luck

Cheers! The way im looking at it now, if i keep up with my level of motivation, 100k + hands/month seems pretty doable ( Had a couple of 4 to 5k hand days and all went well) If there are any good reload promotions going on i would probably do it as long as i continue to play solid at my current stakes. However i also feel if I were doing 10NL at the clip im doing now id have a shot at the beast. Very comfortable in MTTs too so that is definitely a short term goal of mine.
Session was only 90 minutes, I could've gone longer, but when my computer started freezing up when i was value betting the nuts on the river (I didn't get my bet out), I took it as a sign to take a break.
You can try to cut down on the amount of tables for better decisions = better value..still up to you though.
Good luck on the challenge. Im doing one myself but its more of a log entry type rather for the purpose of achieving this amount or that limit in this time frame or volume blah blah blah

Cheers! I currently like the volume I'm at. If I see a huge regression in my play I am definitely going to do the smart thing and cut down, but I've gotten so used to the speed that 9 tabling is no problem for me at the moment.
I have done up to 15. Currently doing anywhere between 9 and 12 depending on how the games are. Pretty comfortable playing at that rate.
Since I'm now going to do 5NL, I'm dropping it down to 8 (4 5NL 4 2NL ) so I can focus more on tougher spots.
Edit to your edit:
I play a mix of 6max and full ring as well. With 9-10 tables, I can hit around 6-700h/hr. With 12-15, Its more around 900h/hr.
It works in my favor because I can zone in for about 1-2 hours at a time, take a break, get stuff done, and do it again once or twice more, and still not seem like I'm playing all day, but I still put in decent volume.

Yeah, that seems like a good way of doing it. I definitely find it tough to play more than 2hrs straight when doing more than 3-4 tables. Then again, it seems to go by very fast since you are constantly making decisions. Do you use any software like stack and tile to help organize windows/hide inactive ones?
Here is my 6-max graph:
So I'm averaging almost 100 hands per day which isn't too bad since I only play 3-4 days per week. I have a little bit less hands at 2NL 9-max as well but so far just break even or down slightly.

Looks good. continue at that rate and youll be at higher stakes in no time.
and i do not. i have dabbled with the idea of tableninja but my laptop isnt the greatest.
i tile and usually they overlap. i have never multitabled any other than ACR but i like how they pop up the tables i need to make decisions on quickest. Other than that i just use the hotkeys and thanks to years of computer fps gaming i dont really misclick lol
