Well it's that time of the year. Summer is ending(not in Japan, right now it's 38C and it's humid as hell) spend more than 35k$ in the last 10 months while living in Japan and right now being very careful with money and partying, i decided that i should get back my old bankroll that i,of course, already spent on maid caffe's and random stuff. So right now i have all the time in the world and going to put at least 6 hours everyday in poker(dunno about the weekends). Anyway...

Prologue

Last October i packed all my stuff, withdraw all my money and went to Japan. My main goal was to study japanese(which i'm still doing), make youtube videos and try my luck in Twitch by streaming some video game and of course play poker... but instead i didn't do any of that Even if i had a great time here and met awesome people, still was feeling like ****, because i forgot why the hell i came here in the first place... But what's done is done, still have five months to change something, so that's why i made this blog.

About Japan:

To be honest, there's so much to say about Japan, that i don't even now where to start It's a place where everyone should come at least once and experience everything by themselves, it a mixture of crazy and normal and it will be hard to find a similar place. So if someone has any question about Japan i'll be happy to answer

Poker

Been playing poker for almost 8 years, but i was a break even player for a long time, till i got coached by some very good players and slowly started to find my own game but i always had problems with tilt and getting depressed when variance started to hit hard but somehow i got over it, but it took a loooong time But it's been 10 months when i last played poker and it will take some time to get back the old game i had but i hope to beat NL25 and give my best at NL50 at the end of this year but we'll see how it goes, maybe'll get crushed by regs, who now's :f_o:
Anyway, poker meta has changed so much in recent years that now everyone who want's to earn some money need's to put a lot of effort in it and i know that i'll have to spend many hours off the tables to get back and beat NL25. So let's see how it will go...

Also recently i started to make youtube videos for latvian community and i never thought that it's going to be so fun, so i'm going to make video's in english too, but as english isn't my native language and my accent is quite strong dunno if it's good idea, but i will make at least few of them and i'll ask you guys to decide, if i should continue or not

Also i'm going to stream poker on Twitch, so whenever i'm going to start playing, i will put a link here so that people can see me struggling and who know's maybe it will be fun

Anyway, i have 32$ in the account and i'm going to play NL2 6max Zoom for now, and if i'll get bored than i'm going to play 0.25$ 45man and 0.50$ 180/360s
till i'll have at least 100BR and from there i'll go higher and when i'll have 200$ i will start playing Spin and Go and see how it will go from there.

Uhhh, just had my first 3 hour stream and it was fun even had 10 viewers at one point and some people helped me out by telling where i was making mistakes and where i should be more aggressive, damn to be honest i didn't expect that, so i'm really happy that they did

Anyway, i wanted to write here that i'm streaming but today i just wanted to see how my laptop performs and if there's going to be some lags on stream etc. But everything went well Sure i had some lags but there were minor so it wasn't a big of deal, so starting from tomorrow i'm going to stream for 6 hours, so when i'll start i will post here, of course don't forget to say hi

Anyway the 3 hour session was nice, had a nice upswing and right now i'm 10$ up, met new people, had a new follow, so i can say today was perfect

Tomorrow i'm going to post graph and i think also going to play 45man because i really need to get to 150$ as fast as possible...

Not a bad idea, but are 100bi enough for 50c 45man ?

If you don't 30 table, yes. since you can move down accordingly (to the 25c 45man reg and 10c 360man). If you start with 100 BI and enter like 20 games, then you have only 80 BI left and basically have to move down before you even know if you win at the 20 first games or not.



50c still has a lot of awful players so a positive ROI in terms of ev is standard. Only variance may kill us.

So let's say with a ROI of 15%:

after 100 (50$) games, probability of loss (= -0.01$ or worse) : 30%
99.7% confidence intervall -30$ - 56$ - so it is not possible to lose 100% of your roll, but possible to be break-even or worse. Worst case would be sitting on 20$ instead of 50$ after 100 games.

200 games (100$) POL: 24% - still 1/4 cases where you don't make money
99.7% CI: -48$ -72$ - worst case would be from 100$ to 52$.

Let's say you really run horrible, you can still move down.

Well, i haven't played 45man in a very long time, so saying 15% ROI would be a little ambitious But yeah, it doesn't sound that bad and it's not like at 50c there're going to be a lot good regs
Ok than well i'll have 50$ i will open 20 tables and see how it goes, because i need to be a little agrresive otherwise i will be in micros for a long time, especially if i'm only going to play zoom cash...

Damn you poker, had very good run, was up like 10bi or something and thought that i'll move up quicker than i thought, but nooooo, after winning those 10bi i started to run like ****, even if i made two mistakes that cost me like 1bi, just couldn't win anything, people started to catch gut shots on river, everyone always had higher kickers and this **** continued for a very long time, so in the end i'm break-even...ehhhhhh.......

But that's poker, there's nothing i can do, today i went through some losing hands, made some adjusments and overall i'm happy with my game, so i will man up, eat a ice-scream and will try to get back all my winnings, well i hope... Anyway

Even if i wanted to stream 6 hours everyday i somehow ended only streaming 3h but even than it's not bad, cause i finally even if i'm feeling bad, or pissed i continued playing and not tilting(except that 1bi ) and i'm getting use to streaming, which is nice, also soon i'm going to upgrade my channel will make special banner for bankroll and other stuff, so that my channel looks a little more appealing Anyway in the last two days i got 2 new followers, my channel views went up from 104 to 170(i think) so i'm happy

Well, it's been a while Was busy with life and school but right now i'll get back at posting and streaming, i hope

Anyway, the last two/three weeks were fun and sad at the same time but at least i played poker a lot and soon i'll have enough BR to play NL5 and MTTs/SNGs.

Anyway, had a nice 2 day trip to Kyoto(well it was more like Kyoto prefecture and we were kinda deep in mountains), finally experienced japanese sea and damn the water is so damn salty anyway it was fun, except there was one girl that i wanted to ask out but it turned out that she liked some else(ouch!) yup, it hurts

If the things will continiue like this, i will have to order "forever alone" t-shirt and wear it for the rest of my life...

There were also some other parties but they weren't that fun and to be honest i start to lose any interest in clubbing and other "party" stuff, just want to sit at home, play poker, make some youtube videos and maybe in November go to Nara or Kobe by myself and enjoy autumn but even than, deep down i want to those trips with a girlfriend but i start to lose any hope in it, haha

Anyway, this week an old friend will visit Osaka, so will have to meet up with him and if he's going to be free on saturday or sunday than we will go and visit a Japanese family(old friends) but it's always fun there, and they always get us drunk and stuffed with food etc.

Unfortunatly next week i have final exams in school and even if i'm failing this term, still need to give my best, so i'll have to study more than 30min. like i do everyday... But after that i'll have 2 weeks off, so after friends birthday and anime party?(dunno, a friend said that there one big anime party coming in 20th september and said that we should go but i have no idea what that is...) i will have at least 10 days to play poker as much as i can, so can't wait.

I will also try to blog more and do some streams on twitch, so hope to write something here at least 3-4 times per week, also hope to finish video about Kyoto trip so i will post it later...

So i'm going to play poker a lot this month and really want to see how far i will get

Ok, it's been a while when i last wrote something...

I was super busy with school and all the parties and other stuff but right now i have 2 weeks of from school so i'm going to stream and play poker a lot. Yesterday had my first big poker session and it sucked At first i was 7bi up and than downswing/tilt hit in and lost everything so in the end in those 7 hours that i played i was break even... Anyway, i will go through my hands history and going to see what kind of mistakes i made and going to back my old game, so today i'm going to stream if someone is interested can check me out here: http://www.twitch.tv/caspygub

at the moment i'm down like 14$ so my bankroll at the moment is 141$ or something, so i'm still at NL2 but i'm going to take shots at NL5 but still i need at least 180$ to fully move to NL5, also i want to start playing 1$ 45man and .50$ 180/360man so i need to have at least 180$-200$ BR to do that unfortunately Anyway i have two weeks to do that, so going to grind a lot and hope that i will move up as fast as i can.

Well i need 300$ to but a coaching pack for Spin N go cause my push/fold skill is pretty lame so first i need to move to NL25 at cash so BR should be at least 1k$ and than i wanted to buy a coaching pack and start playing/learning Spin N Go at 3$ tables, but dunno how long will it take me to get there.

So, september is over, and i only managed to play a little bit cause was busy with school and other stuff but still managed to put a lot of hours in poker and streaming for the last 9 days, which is nice and all but the last 3 days really got me angry and somehow couldn't pass 330 mark but still i'm up, which is good, i guess.

Anyway for the last 5 days i was trying out new style in poker and it went well for start but than i hit the downswing(or just was playing bad) and just couldn't win anything after that was a small tilt and just couldn't beat NL5, to be honest i started to lose hope cause it was so damn hard to win at this limit but ehhh, what can i do... So anyway this new style im trying out at the moment is at least 4 times more profitable but it will take some time to get use to it, cause with this new style i can easly beat nl2 with 15bb-20bb/100 if i would play them for a long time and NL5 with 10bb/100 but as i said running bad, tilt and making a lot of stupid mistakes allows me only be with 3-5bb/100 at the moment... Anyway going to play a lot this month and hope to move to nl10 as soon as possible but first need to be NL5.

Also started to stream a lot for the last 10 days, well except yesterday cause i took a day off, was very tired but still it's awesome Already made new poker friends and my twitch community is slowly and steady growing and to be honest it's more fun that i thought at first so i'm going continue streaming till end of this year and if i will get 25-50 views on average whenever i'm online than definitely next year i'm going to take twitch serious and going to stream for whole year.

So yeah, playing poker and streaming almost everyday, trying to beat nl5 and playing spin&go's whenever i feel like it and let's see how October will go, hope to move to nl10 and maybe try out nl16 or maybe i'll get bored of cash and will fully move to sng or mtt's, so yeah, starting from now i'm going to update this blog more often, also will start to put down every week's graph about twich, how many hours i stream and how many followers i got etc. so yeah stay tuned, this month will be crazy :P
