Hello! So as the title states, i am starting from 2NL and obviously gonna try to win more than i lose, but the expectations are not sky high ITT, hehe.

Some background - i played around on micro stakes during like 2014-2016, then i pretty much didn't play any games until last Spring, when you-know-what happened. Since i worked as a line chef, i obv lost my job, and actually twice last year, when the second wave hit. I had more time on my hands and found poker again. I do have other sources of income, but yeah, the pandemic sucks anyway.

I come from Eastern Europe and as we all know, we are the microstakes masstabler nits, who inhabit 10NL and lower. However, i am not going to do that, for me it is more appealing to think on spots and move up the stakes, rather than make that 3$/hour.

I will start at 2NL, mainly 2 or 3-tabling Zoom, might mix in some regular tables and might play some MTTs once a week later on. I still got 22$ blowout ticket though, will play one of them in the coming weeks.

I will start with 100$, shot 5NL at 125$, then take a shot at 10NL on 260$, and consider further, if/when i get there and manage to grind enough to endure the inevitable downswing

For studying purposes i will just continue with some free stuff and when i get to 10NL, i will buy some subscription or a course, i guess RIO or Upswing, i have bought the Upswing Postflop thing for 7$ in December and suppose it is pretty basic, but was worth the dollars obv. Volume will be moderate, i don't think i will play more than 1k hands per day.

Poker goals:
-Progress to 10NL and evaluate.
-Never tilt, am pretty good with this, but still need some work.
-Only look at the BR once a week - on Monday, i am fish at this.
-Stick to solid BRM, i am fish at this too.
-Read "Grinders Manual" by March, should be doable.
-20k hands per month.

Life goals:
-Reduce alcohol intake to minimum, i drink too much.
-Workout at least 4x per week, be it only 20 min workout, but should be done.
-Read one book a month(poker related doesn't count).
-Enter a bootcamp/internship at an IT company until 2022.

Ok, this should be enough, LFG!

Some lolgraph, these are the only hands i have since last Spring, past hands are lost.

GL will be following! **** news about losing your job twice! Good to see some RL goals thrown in. What specifically in IT are you interested in pursuing as a career?

Hey!
I started with some web development tutorials and courses, but now am thinking more about cloud engineering or devops, but will see, where my steps take me.
Anyway, i am interested in Tech as a whole, so hard to say yet, where i will land. I'm exploring the field, so to say. For example, i find AI and machine learning appealing, but lack in math background, so i doubt i would advance much there.

Yeah it is a massive field so sure you will find something you like! Good luck at the tables, will be interested to know your win rate after you get a decent sample size for zoom.

Sooo, i started my grind, put in about 1.3k hands on Sunday after nice weekend with my family. Made a few mistakes and made some disciplined folds as well, overall, i think i won some buy-ins. Hard to break the habit and not look at them results
So on this pace i am off to a nice start to 20k hand month.
I will review and post some hands tomorrow!

This is Monday(actually already Tuesday 1:40AM here, but it's Monday) and i get to look at the results.
Hence the graph. Made a hero call, which is displayed on the graph with red arrow. Kept my composure to not tilt or w/e and kept on grinding.

Had a lot on my schedule, so didn't do any reviews so no hands yet here.
5 more BI to go for that 5NL shot, LFG!!!

Time for an update i guess, never thought this was even remotely possible, to lose 10BI @ 2NL, but here i am, hehe. So i am either a huge sucker or it was just like 2k hands of "nice" runouts, but who knows. Some if it is like KK<AA pre and flopping J44 to lose with QJ to KJ, so i guess it is ok, but no time for review yet. Now let's stop the bleeding and only way is up!!! I guess BR was at one point probably at like 120$(so close to 5NL shot), but now standing at 107$, won like 2BI, but also got some cents from Cardex.

On other news, played some 2PLO on GG and was sunrunning for 1,3k hands after which i stopped

Have a lot on my schedule, so i will have time for more serious study and play approach at the end of January/beginning of February.

Also hope i will post some hands here one day

Concerning life goals - i am good with my alcohol intake, i only drink a beer here or there, also doing some workouts, but need to pick a book and read it.
