So after a bad downswing the last three days have been good.

Man I wish I could play more on weekends. Some serious terrible players on tonight. Working Sat, Sun def makes it a bit tougher but on the other hand I think playing tougher comp mornings on week days is helping my game. Probably better long term for me.

Volume I'm running behind my goals. so far just under 14K hands so I have to pick it up. Been struggling to get up super early and feeling really tired post work so can't play my A game so I usually pass. Working a full week and playing 40K hands has been a challenge. My diet has fallen off the last few days as well. I think finding the right balance is key to my long term success. If I'm going to be getting up early to study and grind, then work etc. I need to eat pretty much perfectly and exercise and mediate every day. Otherwise my energy falters and it impacts my work and poker. Super interesting trying to figure it out though.

Thanks man and I agree I am but there is a reason other than being a bankroll nit, although I am. I binked a few tournaments so my roll allowed for me to play above my ability. I took a shot at 25NL at the end of last month and it went pretty bad. I just was not good enough and I knew it. Funny though I actually took a shot 1 tabling 25NL last night and I ended up saving my day. Won over a bi in around 400 hands. I feel a lot more confident now and although I still have huge improvements to make I think I'm going to take more shots at 25NL zoom.


Time to grind all.

It is worth mentioning that although I think I've been playing better, I've also been running well. I need to work on my flop and turn play still. I've been trying to find good spots to bluff and it's been working pretty well. Figuring out what board textures to bet and which to check. I still made some mistakes but at least I'm aware they were mistakes.

Oh I see u had some big tournament scores...AWESOME! Were u playing 5NL prior? Maybe build a decent sample at 10NL over 50k and then move up if ur winning to 25NL? I think 25NL from 10NL is a big jump not just in terms of money but also skillwise (what I’ve heard). But since u have the roll doesn’t hurt to take those shots and maybe u can just stay there altogether. GL

Yeah i actually started at 2nl then moved up to 5nl and then 10nl. I have a winning sample of 35k hands or so at 10nl now. Think ill try 1 table of 25nl zoom for the rest of the week if all goes well. Cheers!

Well played a short session and was just not into it. I have been pretty tired of late. I think im going to have to take a hard look at my scedule. Ive basically been working full time and playing poker every day as well. Think im in danger of getting a bit of burnout. Today is my day off and i have to urge to play. Think ill take the rest of today off and consider my options.

Dissapointing session today. Still sticking to 25NL, had a good start but that dwindled. Ran a bit bad as well. Gotta post the down days as well as the good.

Thanks brother, I appreciate the support. Coaching should start in the next two weeks. I will post about the sessions with Coach and my thoughts as we go. I have paid for 3 sessions in advance and we'll take it from there. Should be interesting, I have no clue if he can help me or not haha. He has his hands full.

I'm getting pretty frustrated, getting cold decked bad at 25NL.

Just sucks to play solid for hours, get up a bi and then this happens. I had a note on the guy that he was a fish that would not fold no matter what and to value town him.







Had to quit as I would have gone on tilt. So frustrated right now. I know it's part of the game, still tough but gotta keep fighting.

Bad session at 25NL again earlier and I'm back to 10NL. I need to keep in mind my original goal was to get to 25NL as a Reg by the end of the year. I'm ahead of where I thought I'd be. Release the pressure valve and take it one day at a time, one session at a time. Part of it is I've been a bit distracted as I'm taking some courses as well, non poker related and I'm also working on another project. I still want to improve and move up but I'm going to mentally take a step back and for next month I'm going to make some easier goals. I just have too much going on and trying to keep pace with what I set was not helping me. This is supposed to be fun after all haha.

Oh also booked a trip to vegas with the lady friend for mid April for a few nights. Not sure how much poker I'll get in, probably play a tournament and some cash. She can go shopping ;-)

Just finished 1000 hands at 10NL, battled back after losing some big pots and ended up a bit so that's good. I was down 3 bi at one point.
