I am new to the forum and new to poker as well. I started playing on zynga poker on facebook, fell in love with the game and decided to quit my job to pursue poker full time. I recently deposited $100 on America's card room and hope to grind and move up the stakes. I am starting at 2nl and am using this thread to track my progress. Poker seems like a fairly easy game but I know i have to put in the hours. Advice is appreciated and I look forward one day to crushing 200nl.

Here are my current results at NL2 on ACR:

If any serious players can comment and tell me what I could possibly do better I'd appreciate the feedback, Also was thinking of moving up to 5nl and switching sites to Bovada. I don't enjoy the ACR updates.

Looks like a solid win rate. Maybe you should try NL5 soon. I don't think there will be much difference in the field strength.

Don't get mislead by your results especially when it's such a tiny sample. You should always be aware of the possibilty that you can still be a losing player in the field if you look at poker variance calculator. Take it easy and grind some more hands on NL2 and see where you're at. And when you got 40-50buyins for NL5 and crush NL2 for sure than you can take a shot. Remember it's a very slow progress so always practice good bankrollmanagement and don't get mislead by short sample results. For the start u can use run it once for studying and pokersnowie for hand analysis. And it's always good to reach out to people and talk strategy with other regulars

Poker can be very frustrating, and it’s close to certainty you’ll hit a few walls from 5nl onwards. Don’t get discouraged, don’t ever neglect studying, and no matter what happens, do not stop playing out of frustration. From my own experience, even one month off is enough to lose 6 months of hard work.
