Because I didn't play it poorly. I have years of history with the villain - I saw him jam shove on bluffs 100s of times.

You obviously don't understand the concept of playing the player, not the cards. NOW PISS OFF! lol

Oh and I explained my thought process a few posts ago. So go and cry to your mama because you don't know how to:

1) 3bet light
2) read an opponent correctly
3) make amazing hero calls like me

no reason to get aggressive at OP because of any line he takes

i liked the reasoning and the hero call, but in general its a pf fold, and definetly a fold on turn

Hey thanks... Yeah I mean, it was in 2NL for crying out loud..... I'm allowed to make jerky moves if I like....

And for all those hating on me saying how "ooohhhh if you play like that you're a loser... blah blah blah.. I make my money off players like you blah blah blah.." well I mean.. how can you judge me just by me posting some of my stranger hands.... would you like me to post hands where I C-bet the flop, then take it down, winning $0.30? I mean.. come on....

Anyway.. maybe you guys will like how I ended my session at 5NL today:

Your attitude is awful and you limit yourself as a player by ignoring good advice, the 95o hand is spew.

Flatting 55 UTG+1 vs an UTG open 100bb deep in a 9 handed game is also spew.

You can do what you like, that's obvious. The advice lots of people try to give out is to help you get better. You don't do this by "jerky moves".

OK fair enough. I'll take that on board.

Can you explain why flatting for 3bbs with a low pocket pair in early position is spew? Am I supposed to fold it because their range is like 99+ and I'm way behind the majority of the time? Is that right?

There is that, although the fact people are likely to stack off w/overpairs on low boards etc means that isn't horrible, but we also are put in really tough spots when people squeeze and are offering better odds for the people left to act which means we end up playing multiway pots OOP w/ a crap hand.

That's before we factor in that we are really capped in a spot like this and easy to play against.

Obviously not all of those points apply against certain villains but I'd be amazed if anyone turned a profit by flatting 22-55 in that spot at any limit.

Hey thanks for the advice MMSS. You're right. I have come to terms now that my playing style hasn't/wasn't ideal/optimum.

I've took on-board the advice of playing junk hands. I realise now that even if getting a short term return on playing something badly... over the long term it is essentially incorrect and unprofitable.

I need to think in terms of "long term". I need to think before each action, "What is the long term best action to take?" "Is a raise in this spot profitable long term? Is a call here profitable long term?" I need to start thinking like this.

As for 95o calling the all in.. I see now, that although I called that one time and it was right, if I called it a further 9 times, they'd have me dominated.

I am a fish. Accepting that is my first step to succeeding in the long run.

        Just some helpful advice...
Stop playing trappy with your sets and other value hands just go
For fat value all the time at the micros... Bet bet bet

Dont expect vills to fold to your fps moves at the micros bc as shown with the 95 hand they dont even fold A high...

You can throw preflop rules out the window so to speak in certain sits... When you are good enough to beat the micros...

Use the micros to build up your fundamentals so that when u do move up you wont get picked apart by your old leaks...

        Be humble.. Gl

This, too many players love going trappy trappy with the nuts at these stakes. Always play your monster hands aggressively at these stakes especially against bad players. Think about it. No bad player will ever fold top pair or even medium pair if you bet with a monster at these stakes. By betting you get to build up the pot and extract maximum value from your monster hands.

                BR: $135.22

Still 4 tabling. Can't believe I used to waste my time single tabling.

Made a few goofy moves today... shoving all in with flush draws twice and not hitting...... must stop doing that. Otherwise I played fine.

Something like 3000 hands played and went to SD 60 times. Pretty nitty.

Also glad about the buyin restrictions I placed on myself, felt a bit of the, "Let's play 25NL to win back the 2 dollars I just lost really quick." monster come back.

Well mathematically you should hit ur flush 1/3 times so you didn't shove enough times, shove it once more!

How about excluding yourself from stakes you shouldn't be in, by setting those rules in Pokerstars software?

Gives you 24 hours before you can move up. Will save you a lot of "move-up-to-win-back-losses-but-go-busto" moves.
