Hands 2 is completely fine.
Hand 3 isn't worth posting or even thinking about it happens. Thinking of it as being $5 more if it didn't happen is bad though. You made a +EV play that's all that matters. Results are completely irrelevant as long as you are rolled properly.
I'd be increasing your #BIs if/when you get to 50nl btw. Try +10BI for every stake above 25nl. It's nitty but if you struggle with BR management you'll need more to deal with the more severe swings you'll encounter both in terms of BI and probably worse in your case the $ value.
GL with the rest of the challenge though.
Hey thanks so much for the advice!
Yeah, on hand #1 I normally bet bigger on the flop, the reason I bet halfish pot was because I had a note on the CO player that if they min raise (on the flop in a 3bet pot) - they have nothing, and I was going to shove on him if he min raised me.... so was giving him the chance to min reraise...
Yes, I'm going to try and go with 100 buy ins for 50NL+. 50BIs for 10NL and 25NL should be enough for me (hopefully)...
And in response to BigggTymeR:
I don't have holdem manager or anything yet, used to use it, and had previously bought it, but the activation code etc was on a dead email account blah... I'll get HEM when I move up to 25NL.
