Subbed and good luck man..maybe I could win for once with you away from the tables

Btw for the best all you can eat sushi and the best rolls in town (fresh and cheap $30 per person) head over to Yama Sushi on Maryland and flamingo...used to always frequent that place when I used to attend UnlV plus I'm half Japanese and Thai so trust me when I say it's good (even tho I haven't been back in a couple of years)..there is always a wait at that place...

Yes. I've always been a pussy for playing live. The thing is, I'm usually uncomfortable in new settings which creates an additional amount of stress on top of the normal stress poker can create, especially live poker when you're not used to grinding it. Like there's no "stars sound" to tell you when the action is on you, nothing that tells what size the pot is, and the meta can be ****ing weird.

I would suggest going in the first 2-3 sessions and grind as low as even 1-2 or 2-5, and then, once you understand the table politics, you're accustomed to the new environment, you recognize the staff, how the poker room works, etc, then I would move up stakes to 5-10 and 2k ( basically, when you feel comfy).

Having a plan for this type of stuff is always helpful I feel.

And yeah, looking fwd to play w you at 500z. I know more than enough 200z regs that are getting tired of you stealing all the money in the pool.

i think above is really good advice
live is a whole different game. ranges are so much different with 3b etc, and playing full ring is horrendous.

my plan is to play 2/5 when i arrive, get rid of jet lag then start playing 5/10 and select 10/20 if i run well.

Very good post, live poker can be pretty uncomfortable and has lots of weird political nuances that take some getting used to. A couple of sessions at smaller stakes to break you in to the format sounds like a good idea.

WRT socialising and keeping the fish happy, that's going to be way more important the higher the stakes get. At 2/5 the player pool is so huge that you can basically do whatever you want.

That stuff is 100% legit, since ammadnav and valentjnn got out of the 100z/200z streets, those stakes look like disneyland lol

Thnx for the comments all above

The first session of the year is in the books

Did a poll on insta for where to play and it ended in a 5/10 1.5k$ cap Bellagio game

and ended up in a straddle 5/10/20$

Was pretty fun playing even I didn't play my Agame still feel a bit jetlagged and need to get in the flow of live poker. Live poker is a pretty hard life counting all those pots.
But we did run pretty hot where I'm very happy with not only just with the money but to build up the confidence. I think its also good to know when you are crushing or when you just run hot and its the last one what we did. When the straddle game was on I was playing with Kristen Bicknell ( 90% sure it was here ) , she was just owning the whole table when waiting for a seat at higher stakes ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1-QaOd6NP0 ) while I was drinking my 6th coffee to get a 7hour session in.

slept about 4hours today, the heat is killing me. Just had a good workout in and I will try to take a midday nap. those 7hours will be just a warm up. I feel like playing marathon sessions, its the best time to play live in Vegas so we should make te most off it.
We are also gonna play some lottery next month , will be working on my short stack game.

Btw its pretty hard to find juicy HHs when you are only playing 25h/hour, but I ll do my best.

Haha i didn t count the tips i gave like 1$ for each pot i won when we saw a flop.
Also in the beginning she sad like 7$ please i had no clue what she meant, so i looked weird at her. In Bellagio you have a 7$ rake each 30min, didn t know it.

Punting it all away

14hour session

Hero: AdTh

( 6 max )
Preflop : MP limps 10$ , Hero CO iso 50$, the rest folds, MP calls

Flop: 8h 9c Kd
MP checks, hero bets 60$ , MP calls

Turn: 8h 9c Kd Qd
MP checks, hero bet 200$, MP calls

River: 8h 9c Kd Qd Td
MP leads 300$, Hero raises 1300$
MP snapssssss QJo

Was pretty tired and basically punted all my profit away , directly quited my session after this hand and feld pretty tilted, still am ....obv I know he has a jack and pretty retarted to think he would ever fold it. Anyway the 5/10$ games are pretty soft and today its another grindday.

General: Pretty motivating to see all those big names in Bellagio ,Gus Hansen, Jungelman, Aussi Math, Trueteller....
Spoiler:
when you realize that you re just playing for fun coupons

Also there is a good chance that we will be playing at " live at the bike" after Vegas.
For the rest I feel pretty sick , don't know what it is the combo of the heat and AC or just all the people at the poker table.

You should also check out the 5/10 games at the Wynn..heard the games are pretty good and when i lived there a couple years ago i think their 5/10 is uncapped? I know that it plays deeper than the 5/10 at the bellagio for sure..kristen bicknell that good man?

Yup, I played in a super-juicy 5/10 at Wynn last night. I was playing 2/5 at quite a tough table, running bad and stuck around $1k when I heard that a new 5/10 table was opening, I looked over and two huge fish were at the table, then a whale showed up, plus one semi-fish, and just 3 competent regs, so I snap joined the table and bought-in for pretty much all of the cash I had ($2650). Mostly I was covered, although some stacks were ~$2k. Another very good reg came into the last open seat, so we were basically 4 good regs, 4 fish and me in the middle.

Typical fish hand, although I'm disappointed OTR:

UTG reg opens $40, MP1 good aggressive reg 3-bets to $110, hero has TT in SB and decide that we're deep enough to peel a flop here, Fish BB calls, UTG folds.
Flop $360 567 checks around.
Turn $360 T (hi there!) and I know that BB fish always like to stab turns after the flop has checked around, so I check to her, she bets $300, good reg folds and we raise to $800, which see calls leaving around $600 behind. Before the river is even dealt she says "it's all going in anyway"
River $1960: 2 and I think given her statement she is snap calling so I get it in but she folds 33 face up...hmm maybe I should check and let her ship it in...not sure she would as I took her statement to be a "blocker bet" to stop me from betting river...?

Aria has the nicest room in Vegas but i think that place is just filled with so many regs...always found bellagio and wynn to have the softest games..heard the 2/5 at the Venetian is pretty good as well but I never played the 2/5 game while i was living there..

It's the dry air, lack of humidity. I am in MI but had similar issue when I started vaping because it dries out the sinuses. Hit a rite-aid/pharmacy and get a saline nasal spray to use a few times a day.

edit I think 'Ocean' is the name brand but rite aid, kroger, etc all have generic versions for less.

This. I tend to get a bloody nose everytime I go to Vegas in the spring/summer (once or twice during a stay). Never a problem anywhere else in the rest of my life.

to make SNE you need to play table games...

Im gold status from poker, and they give you sweet FA...

For the best comps, total rewards are the most lucrative. I got free rooms for like 2-3 trips by running $500 through a slot machine. NOT losing $500 just cycling through in the HR pit.

Is this really all you have to do to get a status that gets you free parking?

edit: just saw you were talking about harrahs but i assume this would work to get free parking at bellagio/aria?
